Antec combines size, quality, features and low price to deliver a spectacular gaming case. The smallest of Antec’s “Hundred” series is designed for the Do-It-Yourself gamer. It's equipped to deal with the increased heat of high-performance systems as well as providing a flexible design. Its overall matte-black finish shows that you – and your system – mean business.
The front panel includes a pair of USB 2.0 inputs, as well as jacks for a headphone and microphone. The front bezel is perforated for maximum air intake and it has a washable filter to reduce dust within the system. Inside, are a total of nine drive bays – six 3.5” internal HDD’s and a trio of 5.25” external drives. Seven expansion card slots let you load up on graphic and other options up to – and including – a full height ATX motherboard.
A rear-mounted 120mm TriCool fan as well as a top-mounted 140mm fan – both with 3-speed switch control – draw air through the case. The case even has mounted an additional pair of 120mm fans behind the front bezel to cool the HDD’s. If you’d rather put your money into what goes inside the case rather than the case itself, the Antec Three Hundred is for you.

A Better Deal
- Pros: Priced well. Comes with fans for all slots (except for the side panel). For the extra $15.00 over the standard model, you get two 120mm LED fans as well as the 140mm being an LED. The 120's alone will cost you another $30. Wire management is FANTASTIC! The wires tuck nicely behind the hard drive bays and route back out to keep excellent air flow. I also cut a small hole at the top left corner for my CPU power on my 680i board by running the cable out the hole behind my PSU, behind the motherboard tray and back in through the cut hole.
- Cons: A bit smaller from front to back and will probably not fit some of the longer double slot vid cards without being creative on hard drive placement. Wish this came with a clear side panel but it probably wouldn't be priced so nicely if it did.
- Other Thoughts: Didn't get a fan for the side panel but found that the side panels can be swapped to the opposite side so air is moving from front to back without blowing out the side. Ie. The motherboard tray resricts the air flow out the side panel holes.
Form and Function
- Pros: Attractive design. Fluid air flow. Sturdy construction.
The numerous fans are all very quiet and provide more than sufficient cooling under all conditions. My 700W system is always below 45C, so I can have the piece of mind knowing that my investment isn't being abused.
- Cons: Wire for the front audio jack is unshielded and can pick up interference from the internal components, causing slight static. This can be remedied by routing the wire away from "noisy" components and/or shielding it yourself.
- Other Thoughts: Four fans total (two front, one top, one back). All but the back have blue LED's, so don't buy this if you're turned off by the modest flash. If that sort of look works for you though, then this case delivers in both form and function.
