Three Hundred Illusion
The Versatile Case

The Essentially Cool and Quiet Case
Impressively spacious and unbeatably reliable, the Antec Three Hundred is an unbeatable enclosure. Despite its eminently portable frame, the Three Hundred has enough room for an NVIDIA 8800 series graphics card, as well as six hard drives and a standard ATX motherboard. A cable management compartment keeps your system organized and the airflow unobstructed. A 120mm rear fan and 140mm top fan ensure that the case runs cool even when playing the most demanding games, while the sleek black finish gives it an extra stylish edge.

4 out of 5 eggsGood cheap case

Pros: This case is everything I expected. Nothing special, and cheap.

Cons: The top 200mm fan came broken. But that does not concern me as I am replacing all of the fans anyway to get rid of the LEDs. If you're looking for a case with good cable management, this is not the case you're looking for. There is some room for cable management but not much.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a cheap case that isn't anything flashy, this is great.

5 out of 5 eggsBasic yet elegant.

Pros: Got it with a rebate recently, so the price was just fine for what it is. It's spacious enough for a mid-range+ build. It comes with 4 fans, 2 on the front to cool the hard drive bays and 1 @ the back of the case, followed by a larger fan on the top of the case. They have speed switches from Low-Med-High for the exception of one of the top case fan having only Low and High setting. The case looks nice and not overly exaggerated nor does it look to plain. It's just right in my opinion, and is well suited for a home or office setting. I forgot to mention the fans are blue LED illuminated, for the exception of the rear exhaust fan. The case comes with a few motherboard standoff screws already attached as well as a bag with assorted screws for HDD, Mobo and Optical drive mounting and some extra standoffs. There is a second set of screws which are twist on's apparently useful for mounting the hard drives without the need of a screw driver. Pretty handy, just wished they fit the holes for the optical drive as well. The front cover of the case is easily removable with little and careful effort, and has a filtering mesh to keep some dust and lint out of the case. The power button placement is OK on the top right, and has the reset button slightly concealed from what I believe is to prevent accidental pressing. On low settings, the fans are pretty quiet, you can only hear the CPU fan spinning up or down, if you move em to medium, they are still fairly quiet, and lastly at high level they are noticeable. I also like the convenient placement of the USB front panel ports and the headphone out / mic-in plugs.

Cons: Upon opening the case it seemed to be a little dirty. It's not entirely a cont but I can't remember the last time I bought a case that seemed like as if it was left outside to get slightly spattered. The front panel USB ports may interfere with the ability for you to put in or remove optical discs depending on what you have plugged in there. Only solution would be to relocate the optical drive to the 3rd opening down to mitigate the issue.
Although I didn't plan to use a tower CPU cooler on this build, I can see how it would make things very cramped with the sizeof the case. Run some dimension simulations by drawing out specifications and you should be fine, and will avoid you some head aches.

Other Thoughts: I never really liked overly flashy or "nerdy" type computer cases. I prefer a more elegant streamline design, and though this build is not for me, but a client, it is easy on the eyes whilst still having a subtle appreciation to detail. It is suited for small office and home usage. It is relatively light compared to my own mid-tower case from Cooler Master. If it were up to me I would ditch the LED's on the fans, because they aren't explicitly necessary, but I guess it looks good enough, specially in a dark room.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing pretty case.

Pros: Very great sleek look to it and the blue fan lights by default are not too overpowering to look at even in the dark. Spacious and easy to work with.

Cons: None at all, this is a great case for anyone starting to build computers or something who has been doing this for years.

Other Thoughts: Worth every dollar.

4 out of 5 eggsI have used it for 5 years

Pros: Sturdy has the front intake filter to keep dust out, Has plenty of fans to keep your expensive parts cool and safe.

Cons: Very bad cable management, No matter how creative you are it's going to look sloppy inside. So it's a good thing it has no side window.

Other Thoughts: There might be better mid towers but this one has housed 2 i5 gaming systems. And kept them good and cool.

Now she houses a i5 3470, 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600, R9 270 3 HDD's And my Asus Optical. Corsair CX600

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Front panel power connections are not long enough to reach my Asus Z97-A. In other brand cases I have used for builds the front I/O cables were all just right . Do not use if your MoBo has its front panel connections on the lower end. Now I am searching for another case. GOODBY ANTEC!!!

5 out of 5 eggsBang for buck

Pros: Sturdy
Correct dimensions (No weird small troubles with screwing in hardware)
Generous amount of fans
No sharp corners or lazy metalwork

Cons: Odd choice for power connectors for fans

Expected molex not 3pins connectors
Only had 2 mobo connectors, obviously not enough for the 4 fans, but wasn't a big deal.

The harddrive and cd drive placement is rather old school by just screwing it in, but I don't expect those plastic slide-ins that other cases use.

Other Thoughts: Odd annoyances, but nothing that degrades the case quality and effectiveness.

Great buy for the money

4 out of 5 eggsLOVE this case

Pros: -Comes with four fans
-LED lite top fan
-Quite fans
-SSD compatible
-Spacious enough for an above average build
-sleek design

Cons: -Cable management could be better. There was no opening in the side panel to hide my cables.
-Headphone port is sketchy with some headphones
(to elaborate on that , for some reason some headphones work fine, but some get their audio cut off on one side. I'm not sure why and i know it is not the headphones.)

Other Thoughts: This case was for a first time build and i wanted something a little more than the average budget build. This case allowed me to do that. It has room for the pricier graphic cards, enough fans to keep my system cool and has more than enough room for extra parts if need be. GIVEN it would be a tight fit to add another card, it can get it done. Only real con is cable management but it came with an excess of zip ties so i was able to keep my case looking clean and organized

4 out of 5 eggsLove it but its a bit small.

Pros: Exactly as I wanted it to be.

Cons: I knew it was going to be a small... But it was a bit twooo small. Especially after I recently bough a new GPU (big fat GPU). The GPU barely fit. But I cant blame the product, I choose it knowing it it a bit small.

Other Thoughts: I will smite the J kind soon.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case or the money!

Pros: -Great cooling and cooling potential.
-Easy to access the interior.
-Fits SATA drives and other hardware very well (no problem at all fitting larger gfx cards into it)
-Very sturdy. Mostly metal; not much plastic to break. None of it is flimsy.
-Dust filter and fans are easy to remove and work well..

Cons: The most recent one that I purchased was missing two of the motherboard mounting posts that were supposed to be pre-installed. It was also lacking pretty much all of the hardware that I know is supposed to come with it. Since the little box that the extra hardware comes in was smashed and empty, I'm assuming there was a mishap on the assembly line (would say in transit, but that's a little odd considering the product's box was fully intact). Good thing I had some of my own on hand else that would have been a problem. Didn't detract any eggs since this is the first time it's happened. The rest of the case was perfectly fine.

Other Thoughts: Do your research. Know what you're buying and what it's capable of. Saves a lot of headaches.
