Three Hundred Illusion
The Versatile Case

The Essentially Cool and Quiet Case
Impressively spacious and unbeatably reliable, the Antec Three Hundred is an unbeatable enclosure. Despite its eminently portable frame, the Three Hundred has enough room for an NVIDIA 8800 series graphics card, as well as six hard drives and a standard ATX motherboard. A cable management compartment keeps your system organized and the airflow unobstructed. A 120mm rear fan and 140mm top fan ensure that the case runs cool even when playing the most demanding games, while the sleek black finish gives it an extra stylish edge.

4 out of 5 eggsI have used it for 5 years

Pros: Sturdy has the front intake filter to keep dust out, Has plenty of fans to keep your expensive parts cool and safe.

Cons: Very bad cable management, No matter how creative you are it's going to look sloppy inside. So it's a good thing it has no side window.

Other Thoughts: There might be better mid towers but this one has housed 2 i5 gaming systems. And kept them good and cool.

Now she houses a i5 3470, 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600, R9 270 3 HDD's And my Asus Optical. Corsair CX600

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Front panel power connections are not long enough to reach my Asus Z97-A. In other brand cases I have used for builds the front I/O cables were all just right . Do not use if your MoBo has its front panel connections on the lower end. Now I am searching for another case. GOODBY ANTEC!!!

5 out of 5 eggsBang for buck

Pros: Sturdy
Correct dimensions (No weird small troubles with screwing in hardware)
Generous amount of fans
No sharp corners or lazy metalwork

Cons: Odd choice for power connectors for fans

Expected molex not 3pins connectors
Only had 2 mobo connectors, obviously not enough for the 4 fans, but wasn't a big deal.

The harddrive and cd drive placement is rather old school by just screwing it in, but I don't expect those plastic slide-ins that other cases use.

Other Thoughts: Odd annoyances, but nothing that degrades the case quality and effectiveness.

Great buy for the money

4 out of 5 eggsLOVE this case

Pros: -Comes with four fans
-LED lite top fan
-Quite fans
-SSD compatible
-Spacious enough for an above average build
-sleek design

Cons: -Cable management could be better. There was no opening in the side panel to hide my cables.
-Headphone port is sketchy with some headphones
(to elaborate on that , for some reason some headphones work fine, but some get their audio cut off on one side. I'm not sure why and i know it is not the headphones.)

Other Thoughts: This case was for a first time build and i wanted something a little more than the average budget build. This case allowed me to do that. It has room for the pricier graphic cards, enough fans to keep my system cool and has more than enough room for extra parts if need be. GIVEN it would be a tight fit to add another card, it can get it done. Only real con is cable management but it came with an excess of zip ties so i was able to keep my case looking clean and organized

4 out of 5 eggsLove it but its a bit small.

Pros: Exactly as I wanted it to be.

Cons: I knew it was going to be a small... But it was a bit twooo small. Especially after I recently bough a new GPU (big fat GPU). The GPU barely fit. But I cant blame the product, I choose it knowing it it a bit small.

Other Thoughts: I will smite the J kind soon.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case or the money!

Pros: -Great cooling and cooling potential.
-Easy to access the interior.
-Fits SATA drives and other hardware very well (no problem at all fitting larger gfx cards into it)
-Very sturdy. Mostly metal; not much plastic to break. None of it is flimsy.
-Dust filter and fans are easy to remove and work well..

Cons: The most recent one that I purchased was missing two of the motherboard mounting posts that were supposed to be pre-installed. It was also lacking pretty much all of the hardware that I know is supposed to come with it. Since the little box that the extra hardware comes in was smashed and empty, I'm assuming there was a mishap on the assembly line (would say in transit, but that's a little odd considering the product's box was fully intact). Good thing I had some of my own on hand else that would have been a problem. Didn't detract any eggs since this is the first time it's happened. The rest of the case was perfectly fine.

Other Thoughts: Do your research. Know what you're buying and what it's capable of. Saves a lot of headaches.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Case

Pros: Great starter case. Cheap, but well built. Additional fans can be added.

Cons: No wire management.

Other Thoughts: I noted no wire management, but with a case like this, you wouldn't really expect it. Overall a great case. Plenty of room even after my upgrades to it.

3 out of 5 eggsGood case for my first build

Pros: Good case flow and temps, Decent amount of fans, Nice place to tuck wires, plenty of 3.5" and 5.25" slots, even has a 2.5" mount on the bottom of the case for your SSD which surprised me when I got my SSD today and saw the specs on this case.

Cons: This case hasn't aged very well. I honestly don't recommend it any more as there are better more up to date cases out now at about the same price.

It builds up a lot of dust and lint even with the lint catcher on the front of the case. Wire management is a pain. Not enough space for the biggest graphics cards which takes away one or even two of your 2.5" slots. Everything is cramped and that kills case slow even though the case flow is pretty good regardless.

Other Thoughts: Like I said, there are better cases out there for around the same price if not another $20 or $30. Throw down the extra cash and get one of those, it will be worth it for now and in the long run.

5 out of 5 eggsSecond Case

Pros: Visually appealing, Cool, very quiet, room for expansion

Cons: Slightly prone to dust build up, no test speaker included, not a lot of room for huge video cards

Other Thoughts: This is my second Three Hundred and I'm very satisfied with the overall performance and ease of this case. The biggest issue for me was the lack of speaker but that's a cheep fix. The first one I bought was a bit difficult to install a GTX670 card in but it DOES fit so it's just a matter of consolidating your cords.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Case

Pros: * Low DB fans included
* Well ventilated

Cons: * Quite small case in terms of videocard widith. (10.5 max and might require some angling to make it pass the HDD cage.
* Dust will definitely be a concern with a case like this. Make sure to perform regular maintenance to avoid dust build ups.

Other Thoughts: If you aren't wanting to spend time to find a 'great' case, this is a decent low cost option that won't have you build up heat within the case.

If you are the type of person that likes to look at reviews and are looking to build 'the' gaming rig, save some extra cash and start looking at high performance case. This is pretty standard in terms of features, so don't be hasty or you'll find yourself shopping for another case if you ever want to get a serious rig.
