4 out of 5 eggsInteresting case setup

Pros: Let's start with the obvious one. Breaths great! I use this to hold my mini-ITX HTPC (Home Theater PC). My old case was this little black box that just cooked the computer hardware. It didn't have the room for decent fans. I moved to this case and had about 20C drop in operating temperature. Perfect! The large fan on top does a good job of moving air and also provides some nice lighting if you prefer it.

It should be noted here that it is highly recommended that you use 2.5" drives with this case. There are two slots that you can slide these hard drives in to and it leave you a 5.25" bay if you would like to use some sort of DVD/Bluray drive. If you must have a 3.5" drive, you're going to lose that CD/DVD/Bluray slot.

Cons: Main issue for this computer was that the size and shape of the case greatly reduces what you can put into the expansion PCI-E slots. I had a TV tuner in this computer and it doesn't fit anymore. I will need to get a USB tuner to continue recording shows. If you're considering putting a video card in here, make sure it's low profile or it may not fit.

Dust/fur/general things you don't want on the hardware. This isn't a HUGE issue but I would recommend blowing out your hardware more often if you live with animals or a dusty environment. Usually cases can help limit how much dust/fur can get on the hardware but with this case it's all exposed. Just something to keep in mind.

That's pretty much it for the issues I had.

Other Thoughts: In my opinion, this is a cool case to build a HTPC. It also makes for a good basic PC. It's cool to show to your friends and has an interesting look. If you're the type who's a little out of the box, this is a good way for you to go.

Pros: Unique look. Motherboard mount slides in and out smoothly.

Cons: Cannot mount standard ITX power supplies.

Other Thoughts: Although newegg states that there is no power supply included, this DOES include a 90 watt power supply.

3 out of 5 eggsdisapointed...

Pros: Love the design

Cons: I thought the the roll cage style fan housingn was metal ... under Case Material it stated "0.8mm cold rolled steel" under specs, insted it is made out of plastic. not much protection for your MB and CPU if something falls on it. Too much moeny for plastic! glad I got it on sale. even on sale i think it a little much for plastic....

5 out of 5 eggsWowzer!

Pros: Well, it goes without saying that air flow is not an issue with this case. I can reach into the machine, touch the heatsink, and it's at room temperature. Sure, it's an Intel Atom D510 CPU, but still I've felt some heat come off those when placed in confined spaces.

Very easy installation. Most of the time I hate working with mini-itx cases (I'm 6'6" and have very large hands) but with this case I had no troubles! I'm a Mac fanboy, but this case makes me want to use my pc more often :)

Cons: The only thing I didn't like about the case was cable management. They include zip ties, but I hate using those in a case. I'm someone who's constantly tinkering with my tech toys, and I don't want to have to cut those away each time. Still, with mini-itx, you can't expect a roomy case.

Other Thoughts: It'd be awesome if these were stack-able! You could create a wind-tunnel for your Atom cluster :)

5 out of 5 eggsNext Gen Computing

Pros: Design: Antec delivers once again with a design that is aesthetically pleasing and still functional. Airflow: I have an completely fanless Via ITX motherboard, and this case keeps it nice and cool, even under high load. Size: Sure, it's not as small as some ITX cases, but it more than makes up for it in style. Noise Level: I couldn't even tell that it was on at first.

Cons: Can only mount 2.5 drives. The documentation about the side drive moutings was unclear as to the size. I had a few extra drives about, but I am budgeting now to replace the two 300gb, 3 1/2 drives. Power supply had to be reversed for my motherboard, and no instructions were included with the case or online on how to do this. I figured it out, but it would have been nice to be told the procedure. Cable routing was difficult with only one major cable access hole between the motherboard area and the rest of the case.

Other Thoughts: If I had the money, I would build these for my entire family. I have never been disappointed by Antec, and this case more than delivers.

5 out of 5 eggsSkeletor Rocks!

Pros: Big, quiet fan keeps everything cool. Looks great (if you are a bachelor). Easy access to parts and connections. Plenty of room for crossfire/SLI, hard drives, etc.

Cons: Can fit mid-sized coolers, but not the towers. If you have a wife, will need to keep this in a cabinet.

Other Thoughts: Huge CPU cooling towers are not needed due to the giant system fan blowing strait down.

5 out of 5 eggsVery unique

Pros: Very unique, quiet, great air circulation

Cons: Cable management nightmare

Other Thoughts: I wanted something unique to use as a media PC for my living room. I decided on the mini skeleton, because let's face it, can you really get more unique than this thing?
I took it apart and repainted it using garnet red and a light gold for the trim. Came out awesome.
Threw in a Zotac motherboard with HDMI, Core 2 Duo proc and 4 gigs of DDR2. Looks great sitting in the living room and works like a dream with Windows 7 on it. :)

4 out of 5 eggsskeletons on the desk

Pros: very unigue case, quite fan: you can feel the air move even when it is on low. Drives are easy to install, remove even without using the side rails. Quick and easy access to any thing you add.

Cons: newegg says doesnt come with a power supply and it does.

Other Thoughts: would be nice to have other colors than just blue for the fan.

3 out of 5 eggsNeat Little Case - HAS PS UNIT!!

Pros: Funky Design. I feel like a mad scientist with this sitting next to my TV. Cables and lights oh my! Seems like efficient cooling due to lots of cool air spilling over the edges of the case.

Cons: Even though the tray slides out for installation of the mobo, it is still a PITA. the cables are too short. The Front panel board bumps into the power cables on my ASUS AT3B7A-I. My hands seemed too big to route the cables and they should have been sleeved for a more sleek look. Not a very protective case --more of a build it and keep an eye on it case.

Other Thoughts: More room would have been good and an integrated slimline optical drive.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW just wow

Pros: looks of course
quiet (see other thoughts)
small size
lay out

Cons: none that I can think of

Other Thoughts: Zotac IONITX-D-E 9300
LG CH08LS10 blu-ray drive
I wanted a media center/lite gaming rig to keep at my girlfriends place, and was interested in the big brother version for my next build. The LG drive is too big to fit with the case fan so I removed it (just blows on the back of the drive anyway). Without the extra fan I sometimes forget if the computer is on it's that quiet. When I turn the fan on high it's noticeable but I only do it for games so I don't care. I can play COD4 multiplayer for hours and have the heatsink on the MB remain cool to the touch. I've been using it for about 3 months without any problems, and can't wait to get the bigger one for my gaming rig!
