1 out of 5 eggsAmazing, Simply.

Pros: This case is simply amazing. It's gorgeous. You feel guilty about looking at it instead of your spouse. The fans move good amounts of air and are beautiful, deep dark red. At night, with the lights off, the case illuminates the office. Im actually a little frightened looking at the door to the office, as it closely resembles hell. Motherboard sliding tray, sweet. PSU tray, sweet. Easily removed back panel for cable management, also sweet. 15 locations for fan mounting, though back fan mounts require a smaller PSU.

This case was delightful to set up. It has a lot of unique and interesting features. Are there 3500 combinations? Doesnt seem like it. At $15 a fan though, its easier to buy other brand fans than more Antec fans. The fans are nice though, even without 3 or 4-pin connections. Get a power supply that can handle enough fans.

The carrying handles are robust and solid. Id be comfortable carrying it, if I ever intended to let this beauty leave my office.

Cons: Cable management is somewhat tricky. But certainly not the massive coronary other reviewers implied.

The panels on left and right sides are one-piece deals. You cant swap the small lower section into the middle for symmetry. A lot of the panels only attach to one particular side of the case. Again, not a major issue.

Really the only real dislike is the fans mounting on top of the case... the case is intended to overpressure the interior by having a majority of fans blowing in. Therefore, you expose the fan blades unless you purchase one or several 120mm fan grills to prevent errant hand injuries to beloved spouses or the paws of curious pets that dont know enough not to jump onto surfaces that appear to move. Didnt happen to me, but it could if you use the top mounting fan solution.

For the same reason, I must be very careful when enjoying tasty adult beverages near the computer. This case easily doubles as a colander, and any spill would go right through it

Other Thoughts: Yes, its primarily plastic with steel mesh. All the red parts in the picture are steel, though. And this is a heavy case. I dont at all worry about it being broken. The air suspension for drives is certainly a cool idea, and its whisper quiet, so I assume it works. Or the drive is broken. However, the need to attach power and SATA cable to the drive negates some of its "free-hanging" ethos; they either pull down on the drive or up, depending where youve located it.

The fact that its not the typical glass-windowed case makes it perfect for interior illumination. I used a LOGISYS 12" LED light stick, which matches the red fans perfectly. I also used for my build an additional 4 Rosewill 120mm Red LED fans, which also match. If you like the color red, this is a good plan to follow.

EDIT: Dec 2015. Im aware this case seems not to be made anymore. Good. After 4 years of ownership, ive had several issues with poor grounding stemming from this case. Im heading to the store shortly to purchase a third motherboard, likely for issues related to the case. Go die, Antec. I drop my rating to 1 egg or as low as I can.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Great air flow, transportation ease, plenty of ports to place hardware in.

Cons: One fan has stopped spinning (2yrs), the elastic hard drive supports erode over time (after 3yrs needed to replace, comes with extra). Laptop style hard drives mount to bottom over the mesh style case so it is exposed to whatever surface the case is on.

2 out of 5 eggsFollow up review

Pros: While the case lasted it was great.

Cons: The rubber cords for the drive mounts failed on my case after a little over a year. The rubber dried out and became brittle to where to would just crumble. Found this out after I when to go dust my PC out found 2 of my 3 drives at the bottom of the case, and my third drive hanging by one cord. Disappointed with the amount of money I spent that it lasted as little as it did.

Fan bearings are an issue as well, 2 of my fans started to lock up. Looked, but couldn't find replacements that would work with the speed control knobs.

Other Thoughts: Find a way to hard mount your drives *IF* you decide to get this case. Thankfully only one of my drives had issues after falling, and it was one with nothing important on it.

Sad to think what I thought was a great case was $200 I threw in the dump.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING CASE

Pros: Airflow is unmatched. The carrying handles allows for very easy portability... It also looks BA in my opinion. Easy to work on.

Cons: Little to NO cable management. I knew this when buying the case so its nothing to take an egg off for.

Other Thoughts: It is very sad this case is now no longer availble to purchase as it was in my opinion one of the best cases to work on.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: I have had a great deal of people gawking at this case, because it looks so great!

The Lanboy Air provides more than adequate airflow to allow for little worry at all about temperature issues, even with high end air cooled parts.

The air mount option for drives is cool, although you won't really get much an advantage at all over normal mounting, but it is a cool feature still.

The case is just barely a full tower, but it certainly can fit anything you would need for high end rig. Although, I wouldn't be quick to say you could fit the Noctua cooler in there, but I think it'd fit with a squeeze, you'd have to see what others experiences are. Also, due to no cages in the way, you could easily fit full length Graphics cards in, even in crossfire.

Cons: There are not many cons at all about this case, but the biggest part is that the side panels, and pretty much every thing else feels kind of cheap and flimsy, which somewhat disappointed me. The mesh panels are all made out of a type of plastic, and about the only thing that's metal is the frame.

Then I had problems with the front USB 3.0 port, it still works fine and anything can plug into it with no problem, but the blue tab inside the port broke a bit, and I can sometimes accidentally plug the USB cable in upside down. I am sure this is just my misfortune, and no one else should have a problem with it.

There is not much that Antec gives you to work with as far as cable management. About the only thing you can do with loose cables is squeeze them into a tight space between the motherboard tray and the side panel, inside some rubber cable ties, which are handy.

Other Thoughts: This case is REALLY worth the money you pay for it, although just barely. It is a BA looking case, and provides great functionality, and should give you very few to no problems at all when installing components and using your build daily.

I am currently running:
Biostar H61 MU3 mobo (Cheapo)
Intel Core i3 2100 3.1 Ghz
Amd Radeon HD 6950 Twin Frozr III OC/PE edition (Soon to go
XFire with them)
Team 1333 8GB RAM Dual Channel
OCZ Agillity 3 60gb SSD (With some old WD 2.5 HDD)

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't last/framd went out of wack.

Pros: Stays cool and looks pretty good.

Cons: I received this item last year put it together and everything worked perfectly, little loud but it did its job..after about 3 months of use I upgraded to an SR-2 Evga.and for 9 months I let this case sit with the mobo and powersupply intact and it was today that I decided to put it together as a second computer for my kids.

As I was installing the video card I noticed that I was was having a helluva time trying to align the card's bracket holes and screw them in. The only way to align the screws was basically to twist the lanboy and even then it was difficult. Then after that I tried to install a raid card..well, same issue, thats when I came to the conclusion that somwhow, someway, after 9 months of sitting the frame of the Lanboy distorted itself.

Odd..I guess I'll try to take it all apart and put it together again, and then probably throw it away.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi zforce,

I'm sorry you're having difficulties installing your video card. The Lanboy frames are pretty stable, however, if your case was slightly damaged during or before shipping, we certainly apologize for this as well as your frustration. Please write us at VIP@antec.com and we'll have someone assist you with your situation. Thank you for your patience.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case!

Pros: - Best Looking.
- Good aerodynamics.
- 5 pre installed fans.
- Changeable shape.
- Red LED's.
- Cheap on sale.

Cons: These are NOT cons. Just minor things.

- The door clicky thing on the top broke because my friend pulled it strong, fixed it with glue. Just be careful with it.
- LED fell off LOL. Fixed it, glue again.

These are things not worth not getting this case over. It is well worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case EVER

Pros: Look folks. I have owned many cases. This case is not only esthetically pleasing, but its gives you so many toys. 10 fan slots, it clears the Noctua NH-d14 (which is a feat in and of itself) It fits the largest video cards, and hard drives run SILENT. Its customizable, perfect for all you water cooling lovers, and its priced reasonably as well.

Buy this. I have now bought 4 and DYING for them to back in stock. My store needs more!

Cons: Cons! HA. Its not free? That could be a con. What?? It could be... in some distant crazy land... where everything is free.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Cool Case

Pros: Very easy to set up. Love the color and style. Rebuilt this thing several times. Keeps stuff pretty cool.

Cons: Only two things I found, it can get very dusty very quick because of its design, and since it is so open for its airflow it is louder than most cases.

Other Thoughts: Love the red color. Going to add some more fans to it and see how that goes, adding an H100 and see how this case handles liquid cooling. Otherwise I love this case so far.
