Meet the LanBoy Air. Nearly every part on this case, even the motherboard and PSU mounts, is modular and customizable. Up to 15 exhaust fans create positive air pressure inside the case that blows dust and heat out through panel perforations. Up front, the LanBoy Air's AirMounts HDD mounting system literally suspends drives in mid-air for unsurpassable vibration and noise resistance. Along with its two internal 2.5" SSD bays and a front-panel USB 3.0 port, the LanBoy Air is the last word in high-flexibility PC case design.

  • newegg Fully-modular Design What highlights the LanBoy Air is its modular design allowing highly customizable installation. Nearly every panel, including the motherboard tray and the power supply cage, can be removed and relocated to suit your needs.
  • newegg Open-frame Mesh Panel Construction The open-frame mesh panel construction keeps cool air in, dust and heat out for superior cooling performance while preventing dust accumulation.
  • newegg Supreme Expandability plus AirMount HDD Suspension Mount System The Antec LanBoy Air boasts 6 x 3.5’’ drive bays, 3 x external 5.25" HDDs and 2 x internal bottom-mounted 2.5" SSD bay, together with 8 x expansion slots for triple graphics-card configurations. 5 out of 5 eggsGreat for keeping cool, not much room for cable management

Pros: This is a great case! I am able to see all the lights on my motherboard for status, and "feel" the air flow that is getting pushed out from the positive pressure.
Ran my system for the first time, for a few hours, and it stayed very cool.
-- Update: I have had this for a few years now. My PC still runs cool, although dust exposure is very high when living out in the country.

Cons: Not a lot of room for cable management with larger mobo's.
I have an Asus Rampage III Extreme, which takes up all the space from back, to the frame for drive mounting.
But it does come with several zip ties to "manage" your cables with, so that is a plus actually.

Other Thoughts: No eggs taken away, im very happy with this case, and my friends all enjoy it as well. The light show is great.

4 out of 5 eggsCool

Pros: Versatile case. Watch the video on this if it is still available. There are lots of neat ways to customize this case to fit your needs. Plenty of room for size. Fits 160mm cpu heatsink with about 1 centimeter to spare. With a bunch of cheap fans, this thing really ventilates effectively. Light weight with very little metal. Be sure to run your ground cable to your power supply because most of the case is plastic. Despite being plastic, very sturdy and the handles hold up well.

Cons: A bit of a dust collector. Having 8 fans in the front doesn't really add a whole lot of effective cooling. They could have closed it in a bit more and done just about the same thing with a few less fans. Cabling is all very visible and depending on which fans you use, the noise levels can be quite high. There are a lot of extra cables due to all the fans too.

Other Thoughts: The case is designed to have all the fans pointing in for a positive pressure, exhausting itself in random places in the mesh case. The only fan i have pointed out is the exhaust fan right behind my large cpu cooler. When I build my next machine. I would consider something like this case, but I probably will try for something less noisy.

4 out of 5 eggsTop Notch Case!!

Pros: The "Positive Pressure" concept referred to when turning all fan air-flows! After running the computer for 3 years I decided to open it up and see how it looked inside and was amazed to find a pristine system...not a speck of dust anywhere. The fans were clean inside and out. It was amazing to see. I was skeptical about believing that a computer could run without any dust buildup. The temperatures were stable at 38° C or below without any need for additional cooling other than the stock. I am running it with only the basic set of fans (5). I am not a Gamer so I don't need a lot of extra speed. This computer is designed just for working on special projects that do not require Over-Clocking. I am currently running an AMD Phenom II 1100T processor. This case is rich with features.

Cons: Too many screws to deal with when needing to get into the interior. Some complain about two screws to remove the side panel...try six. Don't forget to include the length of the screws that protrude as they are all knurled and are close to a ½" in height. If you need to put the case between two objects and every inch counts then you will need to add one inch to the width of the case.

Other Thoughts: I am planning to upgrade and use this case again but this time it will have an Intel Core i7-4770. It will be interesting to see how this case handles the increase processor temperatures. I have a water-cooler waiting in the wings...just in case..

5 out of 5 eggsBeutiful Case

Pros: This case has too many pro's to mention them all, but the best features are well worth talking about. First of all, the case's construction is excellent. Not a single cheap plastic within the case - a huge pro for me. I've had too many cases that looked good online but when I received them, they were complete garbage.
The motherboard tray is offset from the left side panel to allow for easy cable management. Both right & left sides have two ways to get into the case. The main one simply unscrews and you can remove it to get to the mainboard/cards, etc.. the second smaller door swings open with the removal of one screw to allow access to the HDD bay.
The HDD mounting system is like no other system I've seen before. The case has rubber mount which attach to the HDD on each side. The mounts are then attached to the HDD bay, allowing the HDD to "float". Reduces vibration, noise & wear and tear to the HDD's.
The entire case is vented, allowing for excellent airflow. You can attach up to 4 120mm fans on the right side of the case. Each smaller door allows up to 3 more 120mm fans for an overall total of 10 fans, as well as two 120mm fans on the front of the case. All in all, you have enough space as well as mounting capabilities to instal 12 120mm fans - excellent for setting up the ideal push/pull configuration, keeping the internal bits in the case nice & cool.

Cons: Sadly, Antec seems to have stopped production of this particular model! Shame on you Antec.
Floating HDD mounting can be somewhat difficult logistically.
Cable management is terrible if you have the maximum number of 120mm fans installed. You have to extremely creative in order to reduce cable clutter, otherwise you're bound to have at least one cable hitting the fan blades. I had to play around with configuring the cables for the fans and eventually just getting enough molex to 3 pin fan adapters with both in and out molex power cables, allowing for more cable length and easier management. I basically had one extremely long line of cables that I could sequester away from the fans and allowing for a less cluttered interior.
No USB 3.0 ports in the case itself, but that can be overcome by installing a USB 3.0 card.
Not enough room to use an all in one cooling system.
Requires custom screws to mount side fans and you can only install 120mm fans due to the fan mounting configuration.

Other Thoughts: The case is designed for water cooling, but not a one piece unit such as an Antec Kuhler H2O, which was what I happened to buy. I figured it would be compatible being as they were both Antec products. Even with the offset brackets supplied with the radiator unit, there still isn't enough space. However, aside from that, there is, surprising, a lot of room internally for a mid-size tower.
The fact that you can install 120mm fans really isn't that big of a deal, but potential buyers may have additional sized fans which would not be compatible. I thought that this case would be the last case I ever bought. However, the inability to install the Kuhler led me to purchasing a full size tower (Cooler Master HAF stacker).
Truly an excellent case. I highly recommend grabbing a used one if you can find one. I expect that will be difficult, however, due to all the benefits of this case. I plan on eventually building a new desktop & will use this case to house everything.

5 out of 5 eggsTHIS IS THE BEST CASE YOU COULD EVER WISH FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: It has FANTASTIC air flow, and HANDLES. Oh thank goodness for the handles. The hard drive is suspended by bungee cords, which is really nice. This is by far the best case I have ever seen. Especially since I travel from my boyfriends house to my house a lot and drag my computer back and forth, the handles are the best part for me. They are strong enough that I can lift my computer on just one handle, they also click into the case so they don't flap around. The air flow on the case is fantastic. I've been using this case since 2011, and I maybe have cleaned it out twice, and when I did there was barely any dust in it.

Cons: If I leave my computer on over night, the lights light up my room so because the case is so open. But really there isn't any.

Other Thoughts: Great size, sturdy build, and plenty of room for everything.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutley love this

Pros: This case is amazing not heating issue at all. It has tons of fans for a simply amazing cooling experience. Everything runs cool and its design is amazing. Handles at the top for east carrying/moving. You can move the fans anywhere. Perfect for water cooling with mounts on the top to screw the fans and heatsinks and spaces for the hoses in the rear of the case. The hard drive is basically hovering in the air right in the flow of the intake fans. Plenty of space inside. Mother board installation with the pull out tray is simply cake.

Cons: Not sure if these are cons but I will put them in here just o be safe. I live in southern Utah and it is very dry and hot here in the summer. And this thing collects tons of dust. However it very east to spot with this case. I simple weekly cleaning with some air and a vacuum and it is all good.

The power supply casing has a big metal piece going down the middle of it and it seems it may block airflow if your PSU. I cut the middle piece off with a dremel and it now blocks very little airflow. I was afraid of modifying that piece but it was easily cut off.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far

Pros: This case is very easy to work with, has plenty of space and just looks great.

Cons: None, I have had no issues with this case and have been using it for almost 2 years and 2 complete rebuilds.

Other Thoughts: I never did really get into case modding but I loved the look of this since I first saw it. It's functional, easy to use and it's portable - to an extent :)

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

Pros: Very easy to setup. I really like the fact that the hard drive location you can have it like a door so its easy to remove or add drives plus you can have the drives in two different ways where most cases only have one way you can put drives in

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Slits on the sides allowed me to pull my pci power cords outside the case and suspend them so that the side would not bend/push them down on the card then the bottom slit allowed me to tie said cords so that they would not lay on the heat pipes of my hd 7870

comes with 5 blue led fans each with two speed setting controllers.

since the case is pretty much full mesh you can install non 120 mm fans if you are a bit creative. I have a 80mm fan installed as an intake where one of the SSD mounts are on the bottom and still have enough room for one of the 2.5 inch drives to be mounted there.

PSU cage, seriously need to become a standard on cases.

did not have too much difficulty with cable management, but if you max out the fans I dont really think you need to worry about perfecting it unless you are going for aesthetics.

the rubber feet on this definitely have a quality feel to them.

Air flow is nice.

Cons: its yellow, after purchase I found out it came in red [ and blue i think] but newegg does not carry it.

nowhere to place case badges, well the larger ones anyways, ended up putting it on top underneath the front handle. [lol]

Front USB 3.0 is FAKE [plugs into rear i/o]
Manual is online but who doesnt have a second computer to look it up with.

Other Thoughts: the fake usb 3.0 did not make me too happy. I dont know if I overlooked it in the description or what but it cost my review an egg, otherwise I would have done 5 eggs.

This case is huge, and im glad since i barely got all my parts to fit, seriously a tight fit inside due to my absolutely huge graphics card

even under load the air pushing out feels pretty cold and i have only added a 80 mm fan and the 2 water cooling cpu fans [which freed up the rear exhaust, but i think it was set as an intake as shipped...]
I can feel a lot of air pushing out the top, and not much pushing out the sides This case does not fight the natural heat flow but rather works with it.

overall I'm very impressed.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case

Pros: Cool looks
Lots of airflow
Removable plates everywhere
plenty of fan options
USB 3 on the front

Cons: The USB3 on the front requires a pass through cable, doesn't use a USB3 header on the motherboard
Top mount for liquid cooling radiators conflicts with the motherboard, not enough room.
Not the best case for cable management.

Other Thoughts: This case is fantastic to put a PC into, the plate for the motherboard is easily removed so you don't have to screw the board in inside the case, plenty of customizability enabled me to work around the issue I had mounting my Antec Kuhler 620 radiator.
