5 out of 5 eggsFour years later, still going strong!

Pros: This is a review for the V3 1200 case.

Have had this case running practically daily since I bought it in 2011. No abnormal noises from the fans or any loss in power. All of the LED's still work as well. Having the modular design for the hard drive bays is probably my favorite part, I bought a 980 TI and I wouldn't fit because I had a drive in bay two, so I just unscrewed the anchors on the drives and 30 seconds later the drive was out of the way and in the bottom of the case. The removable dust filters for the front fans are also fantastic, makes cleaning the fans extremely easy.

Cons: The first case I was shipped was dented in the back, like someone had used a power screwdriver on the rear panel screws. Newegg RMA'd it the next day.

Other Thoughts: If you can get a good price on the V3 it's totally worth the money. Everything about this case feels solid and it looks real sharp if you keep it clean.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case, how quiet the sound...

Pros: This is an awesome case, and is the best one I have owned. It is a very sturdy and heavy case. This amazing case is made with thick gauge steel, and the edges are rolled so you don't have to worry about cuts. I love that the metal is all painted black, even inside. Looks sharp! The drive cages are removeable. Every fan has its own speed control. The front fans are controlled by knobs mounted on the front of the drive cages and the rear fans are controlled by switches mounted on the rear of the case. You can tell just by picking up the case that it's well made and worth every dollar it costs. It will last a lifetime. The acrylic window is tastefully done (not too large) and is a nice touch. Plenty of airflow. I really cannot say enough about how I enjoy this case. Fans are good quality, black plastic, but with leds to give it a nice look. The LEDs aren't too bright. Excellent cable management.

Cons: No tool-less drive bays. Drive bays must be removed to install hard drives. No 3-pin fan to molex adapters, so if you motherboard does not have at least 6 fan connectors you will need to buy some. The top 200mm fan required more power than my motherboard put out of the fan connectors so i had to plug it into a molex adapter right off the bat. None of this was enough to deduct an egg.

Other Thoughts: I really was worried about the brightness of the LEDs in the fans, but it turns out that they were just right. I really appreciated that the fans were not clear plastic because that looks cheap to me. Hard drive mounting requires extra-long non-standard screws to mount into the drive bays, but those screws are all included with the case.

2 out of 5 eggslow quality

Pros: large size, good airflow, cable management.

Cons: Just put the new computer together today, decided to purchase Antec because my previous mid-tower was really good quality.

This one was disappointing, top attachment is flimsy and held together by a very weak piece of plastic that could easily break off.
Part of the case was bent so my friend and I had to use some tools and correct it.

other than that, everything else is in good shape but the top attachment is really not well made and could use an upgrade at this price.

4 out of 5 eggs"Big Boy" 200mm fan not working.

Pros: -Huge case (Fits my Sapphire R9 390)
-Moveable disk drive bays
-Each fan has an individual screen to easy clean out dust, and of course, pretty lights.

Cons: -"Big Boy" fan that is mounted to the top of the case does not work. Worked for about 5 hours went to sleep woke up and no longer worked.

Other Thoughts: I was so excited to use this case I read reviews, etc. I felt like a kid at Christmas (both getting my new graphics card and this case at the same time). I went to hook everything up, turned it on and the top fan was not moving. I gave it a LITTLE push and BOOM! it was spinning on its own and looking good while doing it (the blue LEDs). I then went to sleep and allowed some games to download off STEAM and woke up to find that it was no longer working. Restarted the machine several times, tried different headers on my motherboard and nothing. I then decided to use a 12v battery with fuses to see if the fan would work that way and I didn't receive any type of feedback from it to indicate it was in working condition. I am disappointed in receiving a case that 'mostly' works. Although it is a little difficult to complain when there are so many perks to this case.

5 out of 5 eggsReceived in good order.

Pros: Received on time in good working order the second time.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Had to get an RMA for the first one I received. The frame was bent, and the plastic on the top and the fan was damaged from the frame bending out. The RMA process was easy to go through, and I got received the replacement in perfect condition.

1 out of 5 eggsNon standard disk mounting screw locations

Pros: keeps many drives cool and has a dignified appearance.

Cons: disk mounts

Other Thoughts: We have had 5 of these cases for over a year, with no problems till today.

The SATA standard provides for two holes on each side fo the drive for mounting screws. A third hole has been provided in the past for all the drives I have seen, and this case uses that third hole (the middle one) and the forward one. However, my recent purchase of Seagate 8TB drives suggests that Antec's assumption about drives coming with the extra holes is misplaced. These new drives have 2 holes on each side, per the official standard and only one hole on each side lines up with the screw locations defined by the disk carrieers in this case.. A serious problem if those are the drives you have - or if this practice becomes more widespread. Note that Seagate has the standard on its side.

3 out of 5 eggsTank

Pros: Sturdy (Very heavy)
Well Built
Great Air Flow
Looks cool

Cons: Dated, there are better options available nowadays.

Lack of SSD mount support

Hard drive cages are where fans mount--which lead to bad cable management (big time)

Big Boy Fan is LOUD (the top 200mm fan)

Other Thoughts: Purchased it for $119 with $20 rebate so I got a great deal. But if I were to pay full $180, I probably will not buy..

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: awsome full tower with room for all but the largest GPU's if they pass 12inches. ample cooling from the case's provided fans for overclocking and I think there is even space for a topside RAD if i wanted despite the size of my ext atx motherboard. Also love the blue LED light show and the front side USB 3.o ports are a huge convenience factor that I personally need for space reasons. love the glass window.

Cons: It's a full size tower, so it is HUGE but you should expect that. there is no native mounting for SSD's so you need an adapter sold separately to mount, and there is little to no room for cable management on the backside of the case. I think I crushed some of my power cables to close this thing. Noisy with so many fans but I seem to be one of the few people I know who doesnt care about noise.

5 out of 5 eggsPushes alot of air!

Pros: Spacious, cool, compact design.

This case provides plenty of air flow and includes fan filters which is amazing!

This case has plenty of room. 9 drive bays, room for a couple of optical drives, 3 intake fans in the front, 2 exhaust at the rear and one large exhaust on the top.

Cons: In order to swap hard drives, I need to take off both side panels to unscrew which is a pain when you have low headroom clearance for desktop.

I also didn't personally like the mini control panel on the back of the case.
I wish it was a little bigger and located closer to the front of the case considering how large this case @ around 23 inches. Also since I have a separate fan controller with 6 channels, I don't need a dangling speed controller in air. There should be op-out for modders.

Neither were enough to drop a egg, just pet peeves.

Other Thoughts: Added a fan controller with matching LED lights so now the intensity of the fan speed and LED brightness is adjustable which is pretty cool.

Price matches mid tower version of case with mail in rebate. Not sure if this helps considering the whole rebate procedure is always a pain.
