3 out of 5 eggsNot What it Used to be

Pros: This is a nice, sturdy/strong, well laid out case! I'd get another even with the cons below. Good cooling and filters for the drives,

I now have 4 of these cases, Three of the older ones (about a year or so) and the new one.

Cons: Sharp edges, poor quality thumb screws, and no longer comes with the side panel fan installed. IE: They've cheapened the case by cutting corners. They need a better way to clean the filters, but it's a problem common to most of the larger cases. Exceberated by being close to the floor with carpets and cats<:-))
I wrote an earlier review after removing the packing, but before the build.. As I said, it's still a good case, but the reduction in finish and no fan in the side panel lost it two eggs.

Other Thoughts: I like the case, but the plastic heads on the thumbscrews are annoying and uncomfortable. No where the quality of the old, all metal ones they replaced. You might want to take a fine mill-*** (Idiot file checker doesn't know proper file names) file to break the sharp edges and corners. It's a small matter to do, but be careful of the finish when doing so. You can lose some hide on those edges and thumb screws if not careful.

5 out of 5 eggsBlue-lit Spacious Comp Mansion

Pros: This case is an excellent choice for builders, but most especially those who need more room to work due to inexperience or perhaps arthritis, etc.. Access, installation, and maintenance is a breeze,as the triple-drive and front fan bays are easily accessed from both sides, so this gives you expanded access when mounting the drives, etc., as well as changing/cleaning the fans themselves. The case comes with a slew of blue LED fans that provide a luxurious amount of ventilation. The rear has a simplistic 3-speed fan control that is, for the smaller fans, easy to detach for the purposes of changing them out or connecting them to a controller device or the mobo. The case also has a gigantic blue LED fan at the top for an excellent amount of additional venting. The case offers plenty of rear and side cable/back of mobo access and the two thumb-screw sides are very easy to remove and replace as needed. Atop all of the guts I added, there was still plenty of room for the LED setup I installed. Overall, this is a solid, sturdy, roomy mansion of a case in my opinion!

Cons: The only potential negative I could recognize in this case was that the same size that allowed the wonderful cozy inside also made for a monster case dimensionally. I personally do not mind this, and I actually call my comp 'the beast' because of it, but for someone looking for something slimline or easy to move around a lot, this might not be your best choice.

Other Thoughts: Though I had experience with repairing previous machines and gaming consoles, this was my first build. I found this case to be an amazing case, both as a beginner and in general due to its spacious interior and amazing amount of ventilation. I personally love it, and barring having a size/space issue, I would most definitely recommend it for anyone.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Size, air flow, front panel ports, wire management system. I could go on. It's a phenomenal case for the price.

Cons: Heavy. This case, with everything in it, weighs almost 40 pounds.

Other Thoughts: This is an EXCELLENT case for the cost. It's not my favorite case I've ever had a computer, and I've been building computers for about 12 years now. I could not be happier with this case.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Full Sized Case I've Owned

Pros: Tons of room and not too expensive for a full size. The 200mm fan on top really helps pull air from the top of the case. Lots of room between the mounting plate and the back case panel means its easy to run all your cabling behind the plate to keep things neat.

Cons: Your mother board needs 2 USB 3.0 connectors if you want to use all three 3.0 ports on the front of the case. Otherwise only the middle and the one on the right work. Not a big deal but there is no USB 2.0 sub connector so its a mild annoyance at the worst.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended. The fans that come with the case are all blue lit with the exception of the rear exhaust fans. They arent that loud at all. But I would recommend buying some 3 pin Y split fan power cables since there are 6 fans on the case that need 3 pin power connections.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Paint and Hard to Clean

Pros: Well, its big, and had decent cooling.

Cons: Ok, time to start nit picking. The paint job is absolutely atrocious. It has tons of dust particles under the paint, causing it to bubble. I am surprised I haven't seen another post on this. However, past the paint job as that really doesn't matter. The case itself is roomy enough to put multiple radiators, however the fan configurations (Yes the 2x120's that should take a 240 radiator but they put a HALF INCH GAP in between the fans so its impossible to mount properly...). Now on to the cleaning process. You need to remove 24 Thumb screws to "Clean" the mesh screens in the front (Yeah...), which is extremely annoying to have to do every 2-3 weeks to stay optimal. One of the fans blew out within the first 2 weeks, so i'm not too hopeful with the rest of them. All in all, I should have bought a different case to put my components in.

Other Thoughts: I do not recommend this case to anyone using liquid cooling of any sort. The radiator mounting configurations will not work. The fans that come with this case are prone to going out. You will regret your purchase. I livestream often, and I can't have mechanical breakdowns because of inadequate cooling or parts, so I will be replacing this case with a much better one. Remember, you get what you pay for, and this one is CHEAPPPP.

5 out of 5 eggsA huge case for a new Beast

Pros: - space and design

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I use now two of those cases and would buy it again for any next PC.

My last case came with the top cover totally broken from the case despite the packaging was without damage.
The design is not solid enough for the top cover just a few simple plastic brackets that were all broken.

I fixed it myself differently and it does not impact my overall rating

4 out of 5 eggsDurable and Outstanding Case

Pros: Beautiful Blue LED's and most of all durable.
I love all the fans and it really cools things down. 35C
I removed the HDD cages to fit my H110's radiator.
Amazing space

Cons: The top feels a little cheap and flimsy. Read below for more details.

Other Thoughts: I ordered ground UPS shipping and when the delivery driver delivered this case the box was dented and ripped open on all of the corners. I opened the mangled box and pulled out the case. I was dissapointed to find that the top of the case is unhinged and not secured like it was intended to be. My guess is UPS rough handled the box and broke the top of the case loose. I know it's not newegg's fault and I love the case, but beware! UPS will ruin your stuff if you are not careful :( I'm not going to RMA. I won't be tipping this case upside down or anything.

5 out of 5 eggsFavorite computer case

Pros: Can't say enough about this case, it's quite literally my "dream case" - first time I built my own PC 20 years ago, I dreamt of a tall, white tower case. Went to the Computer Show & Sale in my area and there it was, my first Antec. I've had them ever since - just something about all that room for wiring, fans, coolers, and nothing gets in the way (save for a random side fan).

Cons: Not enough fans. :p (tongue in cheek statement)
Granted, the side fan can be obstructed by a large cooler, which is moot point when you've got 7+ fans running.

4 out of 5 eggsAdequate case.

Pros: Case is large; there is plenty of room for all of your HDDs, SSDs, optical drives, and more. There is plenty of room for cabling, even with multiple large GPUs. +1 Egg

Adequate cooling: The case comes stock with an adequate number of fans that provide sufficient air cooling to keep your components running within safe temperatures. Dust filters are built-in to front-facing fans, to help reduce dust build-up. +1 Egg

Quiet-ish: Despite the size and quantity of the fans present in this case, it runs relatively quiet. +1 Egg

Cabling room: There is a ton of room to hide cabling in this beast, and they provide plenty of loops and holes to route it through. +1 Egg

Cons: Poor craftsmanship: Antec's craftsmanship seems to be slipping. This is the 6th or 7th straight Antec case I have used in a build, but only the second Twelve Hundred. The first Twelve Hundred I used was outstanding. This one, on the other hand, is not.

I was forced to RMA the first one I received with this order, due to the case arriving physically damaged beyond usefulness. NewEgg replaced the case without trouble, but even the second case received was damaged. Having shot well past my deadline, I could not afford to RMA the second case. It is usable, but for the price, I expected far superior craftsmanship. Both cases suffer from the top of the case being separated (wholly, on the first, partially on the second) from the main frame of the case. The USB ports on the front of both were marred and appear to have been inserted into the top plate of the case with a hammer.

Furthermore, the case, while supplied with two rubber-grommeted ports on the rear for liquid cooling hoses, does not support any internal-mount liquid cooling options. With such a large amount of room, and a huge fan on the top of the case, this should have been a no-brainer for Antec. Unfortunately, this entire case seems to have been an afterthought by Antec. One which was executed poorly.

-1 Egg

Other Thoughts: It wouldn't take much from Antec to turn this beast into a powerhouse of a case, in my opinion.

- Add a simple mounting point, immediately beneath the large top-mounted fan, for mounting a liquid cooling radiator to.

- Use higher quality plastic. The plastic used in this case seems to be very flimsy and cheap, resulting in easily-damaged mounting points within the case's structure. This resulted in both cases I received being damaged in the same way and same spot.

- Provide alternate power connectors for the case fans. Not many motherboards provide more than 6 3-pin fan connectors. As a result, I will have to buy my own adapter to utilize all the beautiful big fans in this case.

5 out of 5 eggsNice sturdy case

Pros: I've had two of these for over a year and was the first one I thought of when doing a new build. Case is sturdy, well finished and the drive caddies are very handy. Yes it's heavy which I like. Front ports are in a good location. Drive caddy filters keep the inside relatively clean. Maybe once every year or two it'd be a good idea to clean the inside.

Cons: Air filters require removing side panels that are held with thumb screws so the caddy can be pulled forward about a 1/4 inch to access the filters. Not a real problem, but I'd like cleaning the filters to be easier. (We have 3 cats)

Other Thoughts: As I commented in cons, I'd like to see it easier to move the drive caddies forward to clean the filters, but this is one whale of a roomy and sturdy case with a well thought out layout. Cables can be run behind the back plane which helps to keep the "innards" neat! I'm looking forward to seeing what changes they've made in the new version
