2 out of 5 eggsPoor quality control

Pros: Great looking case that gives me just what I need without any unnecessary frills.

Cons: My experience is almost identical to other recent reviews with regard to the side panels. The thin, sound dampening polycarbonate layer arrived almost completely off on both sides. I pressed them back on, but they peeled off again. Two of the drive brackets had gotten loose during shipping and were actually wedged behind one of the side panels.

Very disappointing coming from a reputable case manufacturer.

1 out of 5 eggsThey keep making themselves look bad

Pros: Nice finish, clean design.

Cons: The product quality seems like it's on par for a $60 case.

The drive bay inserts that you see on the side of the case (4 little oval plastic pieces) are very flimsy. I removed them all and 1 of them had a clip snap off. The other 3 had visible white stress marks on the plastic and you can tell they won't survive another removal.

The sound dampening material on both case panels was peeled up almost all the way. I've tried having books sit on it overnight but once it goes back on the case it starts to curl after it gets a little warm.

To open the front panel (so you can clean the filters) you need to take the case panel off. This is poor design for something you should be doing frequently. I also find the plastic pieces that hold the front panel to the case are pretty flimsy and I don't think they'll hold up over time.

Worst of all, support is pretty bad. Initially I contacted them about getting replacement panels (because of the sound dampening) and getting more drive bay inserts. They were originally very easy to deal with because they only asked for proof of purchase and my shipping address. About a month later I received my replacement case panels but the package didn't have any padding in it so the corners were bent. I had to take a hammer to them so they would fit on the case. They also forgot the drive bay inserts. I contacted them again and suggested they invest in better packing but they shouldn't worry about sending me out another replacement because after I hammered it they were good enough. I just asked for them to send me out the drive bay inserts. 4 weeks later I get 2 more panels (thanks?) and no drive bay inserts. I just contacted them again and hopefully I'll get them in a month.

Other Thoughts: This would have been a 4 star product until I dealt with their support. While I haven't had to fight with them I have had to keep after them to make sure this eventually gets resolved. I would not expect this build quality from a case that will run you nearly $130 once it's all said and done. In a market where you can get a sufficient case for ~$50 you better step your game up if you want to ask $100+.

1 out of 5 eggsWhere is QA?

Pros: Very good design.

Cons: Quality control is very much missing at Antec. The computer case was shipped without the rear fan. Two the side rails were out of the holder on the bottom of the case, one was hidden behind the back panel. One of the header pins (power) was out of the connector.

Other Thoughts: I really like the design of this case and hope Antec can bring their QA back.

1 out of 5 eggsI will never buy another Antec product again

Pros: The case is fine but only comes with 1 fan. I ordered 2 extra fans to install in the front.

Cons: Was missing 2 side rails for mounting a second optical drive.

Other Thoughts: The formatting for the first review I left got all messed up and their were some mistakes, so I am writing this again.

Antec's customer service is rude and obnoxious.

I ordered this case from Newegg and it's supposed to come with 4 side rails for installing 2 optical drives. Mine only came with 2. Newegg said I needed to contact Antec to get the parts. I called and the guy said I needed to open a ticket online first. He said, and I quote, "My boss is a real jerk and won't let me do anything unless you open a ticket". Nice of their employees telling customers their boss is a jerk.

So I opened the ticket and got what seemed like an automated response saying the part would be sent to me in about 2 weeks, or if the part is not available it will be shipped when available. I left a message asking if I could get it sent in a day or two since I wanted to finish the build and this was a mistake on their part. I was told expedited shipping was not covered in the warranty and if I wanted it I would have to pay for it.

I called back and got someone that sounded like a teenage surfer dude. He said the same thing and finally said he could ship it out tomorrow and I would get it in a week. I asked why I couldn't get it sooner since it was a mistake on Antec's part. He said it was Newegg's fault and that was all he could do. I asked for a manager and he claimed to be a manager. We went back and forth and his tone was rude and condescending. When I finally said this wasn't good customer service and he would lose me as a customer, he said he was fine with that. I said I would not be leaving a favorable review on Newegg, and he said good luck with that.

Well I'm fine never giving Antec another penny. I called Newegg about this and they were nice enough to give me a $25 refund.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Case

Pros: Best case I've ever bought. I've built dozens of PCs, and this is the best mid-tower case. Roomy, well thought out. Hard-drive slots slide out. Accommodates all drive sizes, and SSDs. Only had one fan -- you'll need to purchase 2 additional fans with it. Good wiring, not cheap like so many cases. No worthless swinging door in the front.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case

Pros: -Fit of all the panels and components on this case is superb.

-Simple design, but still pretty darn stylish, no other case comes close (even from Antec). The brushed front aluminum panel, blue power button and front I/O ports look amazing.

-Small footprint. This case is about as small as you can get away with using an ATX sized motherboard.

-Nice layout inside the case. Wide enough for taller CPU heatsinks, but there is a limit. Most 120mm fan heatsinks should fit, but 140mm probably wouldn't work. And as other reviewers have said, it can fit longer video cards (like really long).

Cons: -A little tight on the wiring in the back, but anyone buying this case should already know that, and it's part of the "compromise" of wanting a smaller foortprint.

-Only one included fan, there should at least be two. I bought two additional TrueQuiet fans, making the total cost higher. I did pick the case and fans up on sale, so my total was the same the asking price now.

-Antec could have made the case just a bit taller (maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch) and had the power supply mounted on the bottom, and made room for an outlet fan up top.

-My only legitimate gripe, is the in order to clean the front air filters, you have to take the side panel off, and then open the front. Not that it is that difficult, but it does add to the hassle of it.

Other Thoughts: I have had the case for almost 2 years now and I have enjoyed it. Absolutly love the style of the case. I have managed to make a pretty decent gaming rig using the case. I just upgraded to an ASUS Maximus VII Hero motherboard, Intel i5-4690K @4.2 GHz and Gigabyte Gaming GTX 970 video card. Everything is running as it should without overheating issues. I do hope that the next revision of this case will see the PSU moved to the bottom, and an additional fan mounted on the top. Clean cable management is possible, but does take a little planing, I recommend a fully modular PSU.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Front loading for 3 HD's 3.5/2.5 rubber mounted, two 5.25 drive bays, Power supply on top. Two optional 120mm fan at front with filters, wire management space behind mainboard and next to drive bay. No sharp case edges, complete with mounting hardware. Front 3.0 USB with audio. Nice glossy black finish.

Cons: Two speed 3pin 120mm fan in rear with micro switch in the back. Side mounted "special" SSD mount. Looks fine until you try to wire to it, couldn't daisy chain SATA power to it, power supply wires to short. Had to run another cable to power it and have multiple extra plugs doing nothing. CD/DVD bay slightly wider than standard, 2mm gap on both sides of DVD drive makes it look odd. reduced it with a few layers of black tape stuck to DVD drive.

Other Thoughts: Monster space for massively long video cards . Removing the two speed fan for PWM, Fixed DVD with black tape. Moved SSD drive to regular drive bay to reduce unnecessary wiring. Over all it has the right features in the front of the case and looks nice. Minor flaws.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case yet

Pros: This is a high quality sturdy case that will last through many X-Form- Factor upgrades. The computer is so quiet from the sound deadening, that I have to look at the blue power light to make sure it is even running. I would recommend this case to anyone!

Cons: I have absolutely NO complaints with the case!
