5 out of 5 eggsAntec One Computer Case

Pros: Very affordable case when they have them in stock. The black textured paint used looks good inside an out so they didn't cheap out there. Plenty of cable management openings to work with. The tool-less optical drive mounting was finicky, but after installing a drive 3 holes lined up so you can secure the drive with proper screws. The bump out on the back case door gives you 1/2" to work with, enough but get your cables tight. Forcing the thin metal door closed you can easily bend it. I consider the rear facing hard drives a pro as this keeps the case cleaner with no interference to video cards. This is just an overall great looking case, not over-the-top tacky. The simple design an black mesh gives the case a "it means business look", unless you add lighted fans then that look goes away.

Cons: The case metal is a thinner softer metal than my Antec Nine Hundred so you do have to be cautious when working with the case. Definitely not a good choice for portable LAN case. Front case fan mounts are two screws (long ones that seem like an after thought, not designed for this use) in two corners an little bumps in the opposite corners. This obviously didn't hold the fan tight, maybe if I did some metal bending. This is the one place I would recommend modding the case (see other thoughts). The tool-less optical drive mounting was finicky, an took some work to get it jammed in (confirmed by YouTube component install video). My biggest con for this case is the hard drive cage an it's drive mounting. Visually it looks great, but there is no option to screw or integrate anti-vibration mounting. Since they mount from the rear having to open the back side door can be a concern. I would have liked a quick disconnect or have the front header panel plugins to be mounted to the main structure. If you add a fan filter or a filter to the front panel you wont have any slack in the wiring to go far with the removable front panel.

Other Thoughts: Power supply mounts one way (I think, not taking it back out to double check). The intention was to utilize the bottom filtered intake. This was helpful as it put the power cables closer to the back of the case an route them behind the board quicker an cleaner. I don't understand the need for tool-less options in cases, there is probably more complaints against them than pros. Who actually removes an installs their components enough where using a screw driver is an issue. If I where to change anything about this case it would be a removable hard drive cage. At some point in the future I might try my hand at modifying the hard drive cage replacing rivets with screws so then I can convert the tool-less mounting.

Recommended mod: Grind the two bumps down till they open up an you can drill them. Open up all four holes to a size matching the rest of the fan hole openings. After deburring use rubber fixed pins to mount the fan from all four corners.

Despite having cons I still gave this case 5 eggs. These cons are not deal breakers just my opinions I noticed.

4 out of 5 eggscheap, light good cable Mgmt

Pros: I needed a case that was light, cheap and could sit on the floor under my sons' desk. This is my first case with the bottom mounted power supply.
I was able to route most of the cables through the provided openings and behind or around the motherboard creating a very clean look. Tips case has room for water-cooling. Fits a full sized a nvidia card with a little room to spare.

Cons: #1) lack of good written instructions
#2) More of a trade of than a con: New cases seems thin and flimsy but they are very light. #3)
The 3.5 HDD provided plastic rails are a little too cheap and don't stay on well. Also the drives face the back of the motherboard instead of out towards the left side of the case. (This is just different)

4 out of 5 eggsBroken foot, but good deal

Pros: Easy cable management, plenty of air flow and fan placement options, every cord under the sun. Only has one light, the one designating that the power is on (which is blue). One of the main reasons I bought it- I hate light up cases. I've owned it for 2 years now.

Cons: It arrived with one of the plastic foot insert locations bent, keeping me from being able to secure the foot. So it's wobbly. I'd already had to wait 2 weeks to replace my power supply (which I had to jimmy because of the metal foot insert locaton being bent inwards) so I said "whatever" and just decided to deal with it. Not too big of a deal, but I have to use a stack of quarters to keep it level on solid flooring.

3 out of 5 eggsAntec 1 Case

Pros: Nice finish.
Ok wire management.
Lots of spots for fans.

Cons: Pop out expansion slot covers instead of re-useable bolt in covers.
Tight fit for larger CPU heat sinks.
Upper 2.5 drive bay is weak

Other Thoughts: I just transplanted my computer from an old case to this one, It is starting to get hot and I needed a case with more cooling because I don't have A/C.

This case has ok wire management. If you have a modular PSU, it will neatly hide and contain all your cabling. If you have an older non-modular PSU, wire management will be a bit more of a challenge.

I had a bit of an issue with the upper 2.5 inch drive bay. It only secures the drive with 2 screws on one side. This let my SSD jostle enough when I was putting the sides on to cause a loose data connection. The lower 2.5 inch drive bay lets you secure a drive with 4 screws through the bottom.

The other issue I had with my case, was after I assembled everything, I found out that the Power Status LED is dead. It wasn't terribly annoying until I took the front of the case off to swap it with a LED I had on hand and realized that the LED is glued into the faceplate. Can't really replace it without breaking something.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap and rattles

Pros: If you like loud, maybe that's a pro.
Somewhat cheap, two big fans, power supply at bottom.

Cons: Super useless hard drive mounting hardware. its complete junk, the green drive which was very quiet in my previous case now rattles every time the heads move. You can't even screw it in if you wanted because there are no holes! What were you thinking ANTEC? GARBAGE!!!

4 out of 5 eggslooking good

Pros: Nice budget case with USB 3.0

Cons: had to do some cutting to fit my power supply, the bottom seemed warped that's probably why my power supply didn't fit.

5 out of 5 eggsReally nice case

Pros: Really nice case. Was shipped really well with no dents. The front panel works flawlessly. This is a mid sized case and you need to be aware of the size of your components. For my setup this case works really well. The 2 fans are sufficient for my use to keep the keep everything cool.

If you are expecting to use the case with the largest possible video cards and tons of hard drives and optical drives then you might have an issue with space and cable management. For me I have 2 regular hard drives, 1 SDD and 1 optical drive and a a 560Ti nvidia card and the cables are all out of the way and there is plenty of air circulation.

Cons: Possible cable management problem if you will want to fill up all the usable hard drive and 5inch space. Maybe a little bit difficult to access the space to install the front fan.
