1 out of 5 eggsFront USB port not working

Pros: it's your average case, nothing special

Cons: I am a system builder, have built hundreds of computer. The top front USB port is not working, it looks like it was wired wrong from the factory.

4 out of 5 eggsA little tight in there

Pros: Compact
Nice simple design
Cheap

Cons: Fitting a regular 3.5" hard drive and a M-ATX mobo is a little tricky. The interior space wasn't really well design. However, my SSD fits perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: I bought this elsewhere, but it is fine for the price. Everything works and fits. I did strip one MB mount, it is thin sheet metal. If you do not like that spend more money. I just put a dab of epoxy on the backside to hold the mount in place.
One odd note: there is a bracket over the 4 card slots that you have to remove to install you video-card. Not sure why it is there as the 2 screws are external. You have to use it as there is a gap above the cards this fills.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Low end but it works, if you want perfect pay more money.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap. Clean, professional looking front.

Cons: I ordered 3 of these cases and all of them arrived with a flimsy, bent, deformed back. The metal between the back fan and motherboard plate/ports was so flimsy and bent that the motherboard plate would not stay in place. I had to return all three and ordered something else. I have to assume that since all three arrived in the same condition, this is just how they are made. Unacceptable.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Anonymous,

That is very surprising that three cases was damaged to that extent. How did the box of the case looked? was it heavily damaged? It might have been a shipping issue.

Thank you,

Antec Support Team

4 out of 5 eggsGreat if you want cheap - just watch out for sharp edges

Pros: -Reasonably priced
-Simple Design
-Works as expected

Cons: -Front panel plastic feels cheap (as expected for the price)
-Removable side panel is flimsy - you can actually feel it bow when it's removed from the case
-Edges and corners are sharp, so take care!

Other Thoughts: I bought this to build a relatively cheap computer with a micro-ATX board. This has no bells and whistles, and it's safe to assume that if you're looking at cases for under $50 that extras are not a priority for you. This is a fine, little case - just take care when you are assembling, because some of the edges are a little sharp.

3 out of 5 eggsManageable

Pros: Fits a large GPU, kind of.
Okay to look at.
Good build quality for the price.

Cons: Bizarre PCI/E implementation.

Other Thoughts: When I first received this case, I looked it over and decided no, I did not want to build in this case and I did not want to look at it for however long I'd have my next system. I actually bought another case, but fast forward a few months to when I finally snagged a CPU and went digging for that case, and I pulled this one out and started building in it.

It was a struggle. The majority of difficulties I'll write off to the micro-ATX form factor, though I've built in a similar sized and priced case which was much less stressful. Where I'm docking an egg is the "space saving" decision to have PCI cards (like, say, my GPU) slide their upper tabs into a narrow slot in the back of the case which is pretty much impossible to accomplish for any sizable card. I had to remove the backing plate from my GPU in order to fit it in this case. There was plenty of room for the card itself, but no way to install it without modification. Now that it's installed, the only support it has is the PCI-E slot itself on my mobo and tension on the power cables from the PSU. Awesome.

I'll probably end up transferring this build to the intended case (which I tripped over immediately after completing the build) just to have the GPU properly supported and for the USB 3.0 front panel.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap Case, but it works

Pros: If you're looking for a demure unassuming case, this will fit the bill. It has plenty of room for large video cards (up to 12.5 in) and can hold up to 2 optical drives, two 3.5 in internal drives, a media card reader, and a single 2.5 laptop drive or SSD. I suppose a 2.5 in drive could be placed in the media card slot if desired.

Build quality is okay. The side panels are nearly undetectably warped from the factory but are solid enough when bolted on. The internal structure of the case is on par with most low cost OEM solutions from the likes of Dell, Compaq, etc..

Power and reset buttons and the front USB ports are well done and secured well into the fascia while the HDD activity LED is nice and small, but bright enough to see.

Antec includes plenty of mounting hardware and a 92mm exhaust fan that uses a 3 pin fan header to plug into your mainboard.

Cons: Except for one, all the expansion slot covers are the snap-out type. Once removed, they're not going back in.

The lock tab on the back of the case isn't going to keep anyone out. Work it back and forth a few times and it'll pop right off. Easily remedied by using hex or allen head screws to secure the panels as most hardware thieves don't walk around with those, although they may start if they read this.

Other Thoughts: Remember, this is a Micro ATX case, and Antec really means Micro. You're not going to fit a standard or larger ATX in here. Even a Micro ATX mainboard is a tight fit.
