5 out of 5 eggscase

Pros: Good case, look nice, low price. Some reviews talk about sharp edges and thin metal. Yes its true, its not a 100$ case, and if you cut yourself then you just dont know how to build a pc. Anyways you built it up and you close the case, who care of the inside sharp edges? Yes its not black painted in the interior, but remember: you paid about 20-25$ for it man.

Cons: No cons for the price

Other Thoughts: Dont read bad comments, this case is what you looking for if you want a microATX black cheap case.

2 out of 5 eggsFinal product OK, but it made me bleed a lot

Pros: Attractive, low price, decent thermals

Cons: Motherboard hex standoffs stripped out at three places. The metal is kinda cheap and flimsy. I also managed to slice an inch-deep flap of flesh off of my thumb, right to the bone, while punching out the optical drive punch-out. I love the brand, but I wouldn't buy this case again.

4 out of 5 eggsGood bang for the buck.

Pros: Metal case, sub on front.

Cons: It's sharp. Really sharp. You'll be making a blood sacrifice when you install things into this case, I sure did.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes the internal sides of the covers are painted, sometimes not - I have a couple of these.

5 out of 5 eggsGood inexpensive case

Pros: -Inexpensive
-Easy to work with
-Very nice front panel cables (Audio, USB, Power/Reset)

I bought this case to transition my HTPC into more of a gaming PC, and as such, I wanted a full sized graphics card but my previous case did not accommodate them. Not only does this card fit the graphics card I wanted, but it also still fits inside my media cabinet, allowing it to be tucked away out of sight. The case is a comfortable size; just right for my micro ATX board but still some room to breathe and work.

Cons: -Limited features

While this case has no frills, which I don't mind, that's not what I was looking for, I do wish that it had front USB 3.0 but that isn't a deal-breaker.

Other Thoughts: I am a technician and work on various hardware all day, I value function with form. I like to see a well built machine that also is easy to service, and personally I want to be able to ignore it if I choose (no flashy lights or loud noises); this case satisfies those desires.
The case material is light, but it doesn't warp easily, the included fan is inexpensive, but it does its job and quietly. The cables for the front panel did surprise me, in a good way; they are long enough to reach any possible point on your motherboard, and they are flat allowing them to be routed behind things easily.
This case does not offer terrific cable management options, but the inclusion of long flat front panel cables makes up for that.

As far as I am concerned, for the price I paid ($24.99 free shipping), there is not a better case.

P.S. I am in Ohio and Newegg shipping got the case to me on the third business day using their free shipping option.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent case

Pros: Cost - very inexpensive.
Antec - very reputable manufacturer.
Will hold a standard size power supply.
Plenty of room for big video cards.
Sleek design - very clean, minimal.

Cons: Very light gage sheet metal.
Drive bay covers very hard to remove with my fat hands.

Other Thoughts: For the money, I don't think you can beat this case. Just don't sit on it.
I will add second fan and replace OEM fan in case soon.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Budget Case

Pros: This case is a surprisingly well built case for how affordable it is. I paid a mere $25 for it, and am pleasantly surprised. I'm building a budget microATX gaming PC, and this case was a spectacular buy.

It has a very minimalist front face, largely due to the lack of front facing vents for the fan. Instead, the front fan pulls air in from a slit in the side of the front of the case, which should provide plenty of air flow given that it's kept free of debris. Keep this in mind when placing the desktop somewhere, as well. It's unusual, and some users may place this slit flush against something that will really impede air flow.

Cons: The only con that I can think of is that the steel used to construct the case is a little thin in some places, but for a $25 budget pc case, I'm definitely not knocking off an egg. It's still a spectacular case for the price.

Other Thoughts: The case comes with a rear fan, but I would highly recommend buying another 92mm fan (I ordered the Vantec Thermoflow 92mm TF9225L Temperature Controlled Fan). Because this fan is independently temperature controlled, it's a perfect addition to a budget build that will likely not include a motherboard that has PWM pins for a more expensive PWM enabled fan.

Lastly, if you're creative enough, you can mount a <=120mm fan to the holed grating in the side panel for added air flow. The best and easiest way to do this is by simply zip tying the fan to the holes with small black zip ties. I mounted an older 120mm case fan, and the small black zip ties are barely noticeable. Now I have yet another place to bring in cool air to cool the CPU, PSU, and GPU.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat design

Pros: Everything is great. Most of it is metal which is good imo. The design made sure it can fit longer video cards so that is a big plus. The front can be detached easily with no struggle which is great.

Cons: none maybe except I need to buy longer bolts for my fans I'm adding on to the front and side, but this is not a con for me. You can buy hardware bolts for less than a dollar so no eggs lost imo.

Other Thoughts: Great design for a micro atx. I would buy again from them anytime.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't survive delivery

Pros: Looked ok, seemed to have a decent front air intake.

Cons: The box with no visible damage had parts rattling inside before I even opened it. They were the plastic posts that mount the front panel to the metal case, leaving the front panel hanging loose. The metal was more flimsy than any other case I've ever used. I returned this immediately.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsAntec New Solution Series VSK-3000 MicroATX Case

Pros: Sleek, clean look, tight construction, nice for any MicroATX build.

Cons: My 2 issues are the junk 92mm fans and the hdd bays.

The fans whine like they are just pushing themselves to cool the two hdds that Get No Air!! Yes, the fans are JUNK and continuously whine, although they are supposed to be silent- or, at least quiet -esp. if I have 'Cool & Quiet' feature on in BIOS... ??? Also, to install or change a hdd, you have to remove any Quality Memory Modules from their DIMMs, and remove your cpu fan/heatsink assy. If you are water-cooling, you have to disassemble the motherboard and remove it because any cpu cooling block will have the mount screws too high or your barbs will be too high for the change of hdd's.

Also, the Blue Power On LED is like a Lazer... from anywhere within eye level or just below, that LED seams to create a blinding arc-flash, irritating enough that I soldered in a 1000ohm resistor just to dim it.

Other Thoughts: I would buy another VSK-3000, and I am... but I will be adding another 1000ohm resistor to the blue Case Power LED and spot-welding a second dual hdd bay just below the other one. Plus, I'll be drilling air holes for the cooling of all hard drives.

I do recomend this VSK-3000 case to anyone looking for the perfect MicroATX PC build, as it is a clean and sleek design with just enough room for everything necessary for the regular user, business system or HTPC. Just be aware of the Lazer Light at the front.

3 out of 5 eggsCase was badly bent

Pros: It's an inexpensive case, it arrived quickly and serves its purpose. (It's the case to an inexpensive media PC build.)

Cons: Like many others have mentioned, the case is extremely flimsy. When mine arrived it was very badly bent, to the point that I couldn't even get my motherboard backplate in place. I had to bend it and smack it with the handle of my screwdriver until it was warped back enough to correctly seat the plate in. It's still bent so much I can't use 2 of my USB ports. Screwing in the PSU was also a bit of a challenge due to the warping.

Other Thoughts: If this case was for my main PC or really anything other then a computer I slapped together to watch Netflix on, I would have wanted to return it for a new, hopefully not bent, case. However because I just wanted to get it up and running I went the 'smash it until it works' approach. I would only recommend this to someone who wants a super cheap case, and expects to get what they pay for.
