Thermaltake presents a compact yet powerful case armed with extreme-venting capability and advanced features that make it an unprecedented mobile gaming powerhouse. The Thermaltake LANBOX Lite VF6000BWS comes with a 5.25" and a 3.5" external drive bay, as well as two 3.5" internal drive bays. But what sets it apart is the 7" external drive bay for the express use of an integrated monitor that could be converted to a second 5.25" drive bay if needed.

Putting this system together is a breeze. Everything from the motherboard tray to the external and internal drive bay cages is removable with a twist of the thumb screws for easy installation. Your system will be kept cool thanks to the aerodynamically-designed ventilation holes, a 90mm blue LED front fan and two 60mm rear fans.

How about the strength and durability of steel to protect your investment? This could indeed be the total package that'll allow you to kick some serious LAN!

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but noisy

Pros: Nicely sized for display shelves.
Attractive Finish.
Well put together

Cons: Tight interior space limits video card choices
Noisy fans
Odd parts inside for replacing

Other Thoughts: Bought this case back in 2010 when I built my HTPC/Gaming rig. I wanted a case that looked good and not like your typical mid-tower. I wanted something that would fit right at home in my shelves along with the DirecTV DVR and PS3. This fit that bill nicely. Unfortunately the front fan went out pretty quickly and makes a bad howling noise every now and again. I can usually get it to calm down and then it just settles to a rather noisy idle level. Even before it wore out, it was still a pretty noisy case.

I knew I was getting a small case, but the choices of good gaming video cards I could buy were very limited because of the lack of interior space. I made it work, but it was tough. The EVGA nVidia GTX 460 was what I put in it at the time and it just barely fit.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost the perfact case

Pros: perfact design except the top 5.25 bay. ( See cons below )

Cons: L shaped bracket. Should have been designed that it was not needed for the top 5.25 bay.

5 out of 5 eggsSi Bueno

Pros: Moved my hard drive to the top left spot so there is nothing blocking the front fan now, this lets air flow. Stays cool.

Cons: Front led is bright. Right in my eye when sitting so I had to move it.

Other Thoughts: Put my Elite HP HPE-000 in this case, picked it for my media center in my living room.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the money

Pros: This a great case and looks great. It's built with solid materials unlike my other two computer cases, it has a nice glossy finish and can be made into a home theatre PC or whatever kind of PC you like. It's small but not too small so there's enough room to build a good gaming machine if you would like. Takes a mini itx of micro ATX motherboard so you couldn't do crossfire with this. I used it with a mini itx motherboard with a celeron dual core, a full size ATX power supply, a nvidia gt 640 card, and a 180 gb solid state drive for a nice cool, quiet, and effecient media center PC.

Cons: Not all that easy to work in. You have to pull out the front drive bay brackets to have enough room to plug things in.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase because it wasn't too expensive and it's very solid. Hopefully I can use it for many years to come.

4 out of 5 eggsToo big. Size of a small microwave

Pros: Has alot of configurable options, very well thought out case. It definitely deserves 5 eggs for that alone. Fits almost anything you throw at it

Cons: It is huge!!! By huge I mean probably the equivalent of a small 700 watt microwave, the cheap ones you see in wally world. By looking at the pictures here on newegg, I assumed it was about the same size as some very common XPC's, but alas this thing is definitely massive for its size. Even after I looks at the spec dimensions, it did it not dawn on me that it would be this big.

I mainly bought is to fit my Radeon 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition, which fits 100%, but if I were to do it again, I would look for something alot smaller, maybe 1/3 the size of this beast, like and XPC with a 500 watt supply!

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind its pretty massive, about the size of a small MICROWAVE

3 out of 5 eggsNice case, weak plastic on front panel

Pros: This is a nice modular case, easy to get things into, easy to work with. The metal is sharper than other cases I've worked with, but still a decent case

Cons: While the case is nice, the front paneling is incredibly weak. I tiled the case up to get a better look at back motherboard outlet and while placing it back down, the whole front panel swiveled off. 3 out of 4 of the small plastic brackets were broken. This wasn't a high amount of force or angle (20 degrees, enough for me to get the light to shine in on it). The whole front paneling is plastic and very (apparently) flimsy. Compare this to another HTPC case I own, the Silverstone (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163218), which is solid metal all around (although less modular to work with).

I suspect the case already came with 1-2 of the brackets broken and the tiling caused the others to shear off, but it doesn't help the fact that I now have a case that looks like it has had a stroke on its left side until I can epoxy the plastic brackets back on to the front paneling.

5 out of 5 eggsIt integrates nicely with my Home theatre

Pros: Case is high quality for the price
Complete modular case makes installs easy
Fits a regula PSU and good size GPU's

Cons: Nothing really but a cover for the media card reader would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: I researched online for a lanbox (shuttle type) case that i could put in my living room snce i wanted a gaming pc that does not take a lot of real estate. This was by far the best solution and i regret nothing.
Install was cake with the modular case and despite its size airflow is excellent and i was able to fit my EVGA GTX 560 graphics card and could even do SLI if i wanted to. The glossy finishin the front makes it look like a sophisticated piece of tech that fits nicely with my other HT equipment.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case, lots of room for small form factor

Pros: Lots of room inside, full size psu, room for 3 hdd, removable trays for everything (mobo, psu, cd and hdd). Case quality is very good and quite solid.

Cons: The screw to hold down the hdd tray is difficult to get to and the power led is quite bright when the lights are off.

Other Thoughts: Used this case to replace the full ATX that my media center was housed in so it would fit in my entertainment center.
