With Thermaltake's Armor+ VH6000BWS case, it's all about the power – graphics and computing power along with the power to customize and grow your system with ease. This full tower case is ready to go where you want to take it. Ten PCI expansion slots allow you to configure your system for quad-card performance – and without tools. The sliding motherboard tray lets you mount your ATX, Micro ATX and Extended ATX motherboard and expansion cards – before sliding it into the case.

Install up to seven externally accessible 5.25" drives without tools in the modularized removable drive cage. One external bay can be configured to accept a 3.5" drive and another seven 3.5" drives can be mounted in the internal, removable cage. An adjustable PSU support bridge lets you mount a big enough power supply to take advantage of your components' capabilities.

And, because all of this horsepower will generate a lot of heat, the case is capable of taking a liquid cooling system. It is also configured to provide separate cooling zones for drives, CPU and graphic cards. The drives are cooled by a 16dBA 140mm blue LED fan in the front. A massive 230mm blue LED 15dBA fan draws in air from the side to cool the VGA cards and a rear-mounted 120mm, 17dBA fan exhausts the hot air. A pair of 120 or 140mm fans may be mounted in the bottom of the case to bring in more airflow along with a mount for a third fan to further cool the VGA region. Firewire, eSATA, and four USB 2.0 jacks are conveniently located along with HD audio jacks at the upper front of the sleek aluminum case.

  • newegg Supreme Expandability with up to 14 Drive Bays Featuring seven 5.25" external drive bays, and seven modularized HDD trays, the Thermaltake Armor+ provides supreme expandability.
  • newegg Convenient Installation The Thermaltake Armor+ features a sliding motherboard tray for easy system upgrade without removing your PCIe/AGP/PCI cards. Plus the tool-free design ensures quick assembly of other devices without the need for any tool, saving your precious time.
  • newegg Peerless Cooling Performance The Thermaltake Armor+ features one huge 230mm cooling fan on the side panel for maximum VGA cooling, one 120mm fan at the rear for CPU cooling, and one 140mm cooling fan in the front to optimize internal airflow for peerless cooling performance.
  • newegg Transparent Side Panel Window The Thermaltake Armor+’s fantastic transparent side panel window provides a direct view of the inner system. The blue fan LEDs add stylishness and eye-catching fun.
  • newegg Useful Accessory Box The Thermaltake Armor+ comes with an accessory box that fits into one of the 5.25" drive bays to accommodate your CDs or any other accessories.
  • newegg Convenient Top I/O Panel The convenient top I/O panel enables easy access to four USB 2.0 ports, one IEEE 1394 port, one eSATA port and two audio ports.

2 out of 5 eggsMassive chunks of useless metal

Pros: GREAT TOWER for holding parts. Except for all the issues.

Cons: All the fans broke within a month.

There is no good way to pick this thing up. Most of the best gripping points have stickers warning you to not use as a handle since it will tear the foundation of this thing apart.

The usb ports are unstable and the plastic breaks out and gets stuck in your usb cords.

MASSIVE CHUNKS OF USELESS METAL. I mean really?

I thought they would lock or something but no those 1000lbs chunks of uranium attached to the front are just useless flaps that serve no purpose other then extra sticker space.

Not to mention this tower will cause you BODILY HARM.

That's right if you put this thing on the floor it will ATTACK YOU.

The flaps will sway open and SLAM a metal corner right into your knee each time you get out of your chair.

Other then those flaws it's fine. Nice spacing for parts. Never had an issue fitting something in it and the quick release thing is neat.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case.

Pros: This case has a lot of pros:
- tons of slots for expansion
- supports all sizes of mobo's
- sliding mobo tray!! so handy..
- both sides of the case come off for easy maintenance
- no-screw slots for 3.5" and 5.5"
- rails for cable management
- usb, sound, firewire slots on front of case

Cons: Case is large, and that means LARGE. But you get what you ask for.

Other Thoughts: Awesome case for the power user. Upgradeability means I will never have to buy another case ever. Large enough for me to house my 4.5TB of data I have and the cables are organized neatly! I really love this case.

3 out of 5 eggsI GUESS

Pros: Lots of room to keep it cool.

Cons: Fragile.... Plastic parts break easily. Front panel drive covers require directions. You Can't just pull them off and put them back on.

Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd case Like this through out the past 6 years and I think I'm done with them. They are too big, and too heavy... I'm not building a server, and don't need all the space. And for the price, I shouldn't be easily breaking little plastic snap in parts with zero effort.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: It is definately huge! Lots of room, easy to run cords in, and lots of extra screws/bolts/nuts to get everything put together.

Cons: Only issue I had was installing my Rosewill Lightning 1000W PSU, the screw holes didn't want to line up. Not a major issue though.

Other Thoughts: It looks very nice, easy instructions on all its features, and still has room to spare. I would suggest this case.

4 out of 5 eggsArmored with an Edge

Pros: Sleek design, mostly tool-less, fairly quiet, wire management area in back, plenty of bays, easy to get inside, slide-out motherboard tray.

Cons: No design for bottom-mounted power supply, top of case is kind of a delicate removal for installing a fan, there's no dedicated hole for the main power cable to come from the wire management area, and there's a "Thermaltake - Cool all Your Life" bit on the side panel that I wish was left blank, front fan seems a bit weak (when hooked up to my fan controller, even turned to the strongest setting).

Other Thoughts: I don't think there were enough 2.5" and/or 3.5" adapters for the case. I have a USB3.0 port that can be mounted on the front or in the back, a 3.5" card reader, and a 2.5" solid-state drive. I had to do some special rigging just to get all three of these into decent places in the computer.

Loaded, this tower is heavy as all get-out. I love my computer, but because of its weight, it'll be the first thing I throw off a rooftop to smash an attacking zombie (unless said zombie is on the rooftop with me).

3 out of 5 eggsThermaltake Armor+

Pros: This case is big and heavy, and looks fantastic! It's solidly built and the window is nice. It has more than enough room for my Gigabyte Z68X-UD7-B3. It has a compartment in the top and a drawer that can be added to the front. The toolless design works well. The Black plastic parts have a nice, unbderstated sparkle in the paint. The power on button has a nice, solid feel. Case comes with two fans, one is in the front and has blue LEDs, the other is a 120 mm Enermax Vegas Duo, which is very good-looking.

Cons: Do not buy this case unless it is going to sit where you use it, this case is not for carrying to LAN parties. It is simply too heavy. I would like to see the option for the power supply to be on either the top or bottom, but this case wants it in the top. I had to repair the HDD activity indicator LED, as in assembly the wire had been severed.

Other Thoughts: Why didn't Thermaltake paint the inside of this gorgeous case? It has a large window, and it would be nice to have the inside look more polished.

5 out of 5 eggsSerious Case

Pros: Huge Case Plenty of room for everything, and I MEAN Everything!!! Attractive case. Have Read that the two front doors are useless. But making it good looking is a use. (The included cleaning cloth was a nice touch as were the storage trays.(see below). Cooling seems great but they could change the rear fan color from red. Doesn't fit the overall scheme. Plenty of racks perhaps more HD than you'll use. But way better too many than too few. Everything mounted up easy. Removable MOBO try is great and useful on more than one occasion. Hardwareless mounts seem sturdy enough no freeplay in the Optical Drives or Card Reader. HD's are solid too. Shout out to NEWEGG for their great service.

Cons: HEAVY. VERY, VERY HEAVY. not really a con but be ready to use a little umph to move this thing around. As said the storage trays are nice but it would have been useful to be able to store a few CD/DVD's close by for those programs that need them.

Other Thoughts: Might be more than you need. Take a look at the specs and see if you need something this big and heavy. If you do or just like the looks of it(like me) go for it.

5 out of 5 eggsIts saved my pc from a fire.

Pros: This is called Armor+ for a reason (read other thoughts). Extremely strong stylish design. Easy slide out mobo drawer. Easy set up for liquid cooling. Tons of space. Awesome airflow. Extra storage areas. Easy wire management. Front headphone, mic, USBs and Esata ports. Easy snap, etc etc etc.. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!

Cons: Difficult to transport, weighing at around 80lbs. This case is a beast when sporting all the works including liquid cooling.

Other Thoughts: My house was in a fire. Almost everything gone except a few things. This case protected the hardware inside from the fire and extreme heat. Two 285s, Mushkin ram, Velociraptor HDD, and q9650 CPU were all saved all thanks to this case. Everything else was a loss. Granted those components were designed to take high temps, the fire produced temps reaching up to 800 degrees for an extended period of time. 2 years later, they all still work perfectly. I highly recommend this case.
