1 out of 5 eggsgreat case, but expensive

Pros: it is a great case

Cons: have to drill holes in case for ssd
the price this cas is way over priced it should be about $300

Other Thoughts: If you want a great case and don't mind paying double the price by this one

4 out of 5 eggsVery good case with 2 minor flaws and 1 not so minor flaw

Pros: Amazing construction quality. 5mm thick aluminum everywhere. Plenty of room for full size components (EVGA GeForce GTX470 fits nicely, as does a full size 750 Corsair 750 Watt PSU). Very quiet, and cool.

Pretty to look at. This component stands out in a good way. Doesn't look like a computer at all.

Very easy to work with, aside from the SSD mounting. Lots of room for big components and easy to keep tidy.

Cons: Minor Flaw #1: Mounting Hard Drives in this case is a nuisance. I used two OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" SSD's. Even with the 3.5" mounting brackets, I still had to drill out holes in the black mounting bar because they would not fit.

Minor Flaw #2: The Power LED plug is too narrow. Typically, Power LED plugs are 3 pins wide (with the middle pin missing). I had to cannibalize an old plug to make it work.

Not so Minor Flaw #1: The touch screen software is limited to the included software bundled with the case. This is annoying, as I was hoping to use XBMC.

Not enough room for a large CPU cooler (not a huge problem if you aren't OC'ing. I used Arctic Silver on a stock i7 CPU cooler, which works well in the case. Even with a GeForce GTX 470.

Other Thoughts: The "X" on the Luxa2 decal on the front of the case penetrated and broke off in my thumb while I was picking up the case. It's made out of aluminum, and it was not fun cutting that out of my hand with a knife. It should sit more flush so this doesn't happen.

Overall I love this case, it works VERY well for what I am using it for. Extremely powerful PC's are capable in this thing.

I wrote a blog post detailing my entire build out (with all New Egg ordered parts)... just google "Brice Lucas" if you want to see it.

3 out of 5 eggsDon't understand the size.

Pros: I don't own this (yet), but it looks real nice...

Cons: ...but I'm confused as to why they make this case in two sizes, neither of which is the standard AV component size of 17"... ?

3 out of 5 eggsBest Case, But Needs Simple Improvements

Pros: Great build quality. Great design. Very nice to look at. Work well. This should be a 5 start product. But, for a luxury brand, everything has to be perfect. See Cons and Other Thoughts as to why I have given 3 stars.

Cons: Design Issue - There are no holes to mount a 2.5" SSD. Luxa needs to update the product so that 2.5" SSD can be mounted without having to drill additional holes or buy a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter. This is an easy fix and I don't understand why this has not been already incorporated into the design. 2.5" drives have been around for a while and it makes no sense that a luxury brand such as Luxa would not have accommodated for this. Minus 1 star

Other Thoughts: Tried to send Luxa a Tech Support Request with the same information. There website does not work. You can not submit Tech support request from the LUXA website. Minus 1 star
