The Thermaltake V3 Black Edition is coated in black from the inside to the outside, lending it stylish looks and a degree of individuality. A transparent window at the back end of the left side panel allows for a look inside the case. This way the brilliant blue beams of the pre-installed 120mm rear exhaust-fan can emanate in a black-bluish array. A perforated black mesh front panel offers optimized airflow and a sleek design.

As characteristic for all Thermaltake chassis, the V3 Black Edition is also optimized for most effective airflow with the option for 3 additional case fans: the front panel allows you to add a 120mm intake fan, the top panel offers the possibility for a 120mm exhaust fan and on the bottom is room for yet one more intake fan. The standard ATX PSII PSU can conveniently be placed at the bottom of the case where you find an intake exhaust hole to immediately blow cold outside air into the PSU. An extra dust filter is attached to this fan hole in order to keep dust and dirt out of the case and the PSU, effectively prolonging your power supply’s lifetime.

With dimensions of 430 (H) x 190 (W) x 473 (D) mm the V3 Black Edition is a conveniently sized mid-tower that still offers more than enough room for system upgrades and expandability. There are four 5.25” and one 3.5” bays accessible from the front, and further four 3.5” and one 2.5” bays are accessible from the inside. Peripheral connectivity is given through the implementation of two USB 2.0 and HD audio connectors for MIC and speaker at the front panel.

  • newegg Supreme Expandability with 9 Drive Bays Featuring four 5.25" external drive bays, and five 3.5" drive bays (one external and four internal), the Thermaltake V3 Black Edition provides supreme expandability.
  • newegg Efficient Ventilation The Thermaltake V3 Black Edition features a mesh front panel to maximize airflow of the inner system. A rear 120mm blue LED fan improves interior airflow and looks simply amazing too.
  • newegg Tool-free Installation The tool-free design ensures quick installation and upgrade for expansion cards, 5.25" and 3.5" devices to save your time. Start enjoying computing rapidly!
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The convenient front I/O panel enables easy access to two USB 2.0 ports and two audio ports.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This is a great case for the money. For even a budget or a high end build you will be more than satisfied with this case. Case has lots of ventilation. Included is one 120mm with room to add two more 120mm fans.

Cons: Does not come with enough quick change clips for the expansion bays.

1 out of 5 eggsMove along

Pros: Can fit a pretty big video cards.

Cons: Hard to fit an ATX board.
HDD makes a lotsa noises in this case (WD Black)
Can be easily bent.
No filters.
No back panel cable management.

Other Thoughts: Just buy a HAF like anyone else or an Antec 302

2 out of 5 eggsCompany gone cheap

Pros: Cheap if you get your rebate.

Cons: Very cheaply made. Everything you touch feels like it might break. On removing one of the grills to put in a DVD drive both push to remove catches just broke off. This case really changed how I look at Thermaltake and I probably will not use any of their products in the future. Was a great company, gone because of greed.

1 out of 5 eggsTotal Garbage

Pros: i guess it was cheap enough.

Cons: i bought this case specifically to mount 2 120mm fans in the top for cooling. there is no way to mount the fans and the motherboard. its one or the other. the ram clips will be up against the fans.

Other Thoughts: i called newegg and wanted to send it back. they issued an rma, but i would have to pay the freight. sold it on craigslist for 20 bucks and called it a day. will never buy a thermaltake product again. btw, if the thermaltake rep reads this, please dont go into the speech where you cant possibly know all motherboard configurations. total junk.

4 out of 5 eggsA Box for Your Stuff

Pros: - Cheap
- Has a great look
- Lots of space inside for cable management
- Cheap
- Many options for fans (and a blue LED to impress the ladies)
- Cheap

Cons: - A bit flimsy. My case arrive with a quarter sized dent and a bent corner on the left panel. Luckily my setup hides that side of the case.
- Doesn't come with filters. The fan slots have fairly large holes, so I worry about dust, bugs, or small children falling into the case.
- Bottom left standoff hole didn't match up with my Micro ATX mobo, so that corner isn't supported that well.
- Tool-less mounting brackets seem untrustworthy.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a good case.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Care

Pros: -HDD Expansion
-Airflow

Cons: -Nice locking mechanism for drives, but needs more than 1 for each type.
-Fan slot on the bottom of the PC is challenged to keep the wires from touching it if a HDD is in the bottom expansion slot.

Other Thoughts: Darn good for the price, this is my second one.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Good case. I must have paired it with the right ps (COOLER MASTER GX 450W) because it is quite! Good air flow.

Cons: I would have like a few more mounting points for my BIOSTAR TH67+ LGA 1155. Not that big a deal. Had to support the edge of the mb when installing memory.

Other Thoughts: The lack of additional quick change brackets is no big deal, it comes with more than enough screws.
NewEgg shipping is great!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case A++

Pros: This is a great case to own. I had my share of computing an so far this is the best one for the $$$ (paid around $25 on black friday). Black finish in and out, which helps prevent the mobo from touching the aluminum. Room for 5 120 mm fans and great design. 3 locking clips for HDD, Drives and other accesories. LETS JUST SAY THE BEST!!! even for $40. TRUST ME IF YOU ARE BUILDING A 1 CPU, 1GPU, 1HDD, 1 DRIVE THIS IS THE CASE FOR YOU. PLUS IT COMES WITH 1 INSTALLED. A++

Cons: Only 2 mobo stand off screws. I wish they included more, but for the price I wount drop any eggs.

Other Thoughts: THE BEST !!!
