4 out of 5 eggsPositive Beauty

Pros: Looks. G-Force 8800 fits in there! Plenty room for HDs. Tool-less holders work.

Cons: Upper external USB connectors can't be used ???

Other Thoughts: Really don't know what's up with non-standard USB connectors.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Beautiful black case, huge interior fans, tooless design was a breeze.

Cons: Had a little difficulty installing hard drives (with hard drive fan attached), had to bend the notches to insert. Top usb port cables can be in the way at times, but otherwise not bothersome.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: Plenty of space for components, great air flow, quiet stock fans, "tool-less" rails for ROM drives, light-weight considering size.

Cons: "Tool-less" mounts for HDs and PCI cards are useless...use the screws that come with, several of the pre-drilled holes for board stand-offs were stripped and wouldn't take the stand-offs regardless of how hard the effort to get them in was.

Other Thoughts: This is a great case with plenty of space for future mods, but with that flexibility comes the fact that this case is HUGE! It's extremely stylish and has great airflow, so the size didn't detract at all.

Set-up: Thermaltake VB1000SNS case, Rosewill RP500-2 PS, ASUS MDN-E MB, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Proc, 2 gig Kingston DR800 RAM, XFX 256 GeForce 7300GS Video, Seagate 250g 3g/SATA HD.

4 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly good

Pros: Solid case design with a front cover. Keyed entry.

Cons: Front cover. Plastic lock drive bay locks. Different keys for door and cover. Larger power supplies are a bit difficult to install.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this case to teach my wife how to build a computer system. I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed with how easy it will be for her. I hate the door, but it's something she asked for.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice case. Everything fits very well into it. Tool free is very nice

Cons: Had to spend 10 minutes taking off all the junk I didn't want like the front door, the feet, and the top USB port. Top USB port? How dumb.....

3 out of 5 eggsgood final result, but the process was hard

Pros: Makes my computer much quieter.

Cons: It was extremely difficult to get the faceplates out. I had to disassemble the door. And the PCI slot free function is a joke. I messed up twice on the wiring of the power button. I took the motherboard out twice to see what I was doing. That meant placing the cards in three times. That turned out to be a job. The cards almost never lined up straight on the first try. I prefer using tools when compared to this.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent cooling solution with a DUST FILTER!

Pros: Big beautiful and will keep your stuff cool. The Slot Latches are a bit tricky but they work well if you get the hang of it and you can always use a screw. I find the drive latches work as advertised with no problems at all... Truey a tooless case. You may not place a long optical drive in the top 5 1/4 slot as it will bump up against the top "front panel connectors". The reason this case gets a "5" is it is a great cooling solution that includes a dust filter! If you look around here at Newegg you will find many cases have windows and side panel vents. These things do little or nothing to cool the machine but allow dust to enter a machine that is constantly drawing air in just like a vacuam cleaner! This case is great because it has no vents on either side allowing air to enter the case ONLY through the front vent and past the filter. Remember to clean the filter!

Cons: Are you kidding???? I love this case!!

Other Thoughts: I am about to purchace my 2nd Soprano (the other one is silver). I am getting the black one this time so I can tell them apart. Imagine having two white kittens... Anyways, I have scoured the entire Newegg site and can find no other case that matches this one. Don't buy a cheap case...you can BUILD A MUCH BETTER COMPUTER with this case!!

1 out of 5 eggsJust go with a different brand.

Pros: If you don't mess with it, it looks nice. The window is mounted well enough not to amplify the sounds in the case.

Cons: The door is cheap and buzzes when my drives spin up. The top door is even cheap and breaks extremely easily (and all I was doing was opening it). The toolless install system just makes mounting anything with abnormal mount points or that needs to be adjusted impossible or very painful. The toolless add on card system has to be almost completely removed if you want to add cards that don't work with it, making it pointless, as no sound card will, and many add on cards need more support. The motherboard tray doesn't have enough room, and you'll find yourself arranging hard drives around your video cards (no 8800s or 7x00 gtxs in this baby). The usb connectors for the top are not the standard USB alignment, and thus you can't use them ever (unless you make your own, which can be dangerous).

Other Thoughts: Most of the problems I pointed out were something I'd be more critical of in a more expensive case, and really don't contribute to this case's review. The door buzzing, the cheap upper door, and the fact that the USB headers can't be used on the case is unacceptable, as these are the basics for a case in this price range, and lets face it, if a car barely runs, is annoyingly loud, and gets horrible gas mileage, it doesn't matter what the sound system is, if it has ac, or what it looks like. From what I can tell, the rest of their cases have the same gimmicks and systems, so they're not worth the price either.

4 out of 5 eggsGood looking case...

Pros: ThermalTake quality, Nice looking front, Top USB 2.0 Ports, Dual 120mm FANS! security features

Cons: Front is made of plastic, not too effective tool-less features for PCI port.

Other Thoughts: Its a good looking case, with tons of space inside. Though I had a little problem with the tool-less PCI locks, I just used screws and tighten my vid card and sound card in place. The dual 120mm fans are so quiet you could sleep!

4 out of 5 eggsEasy Build

Pros: Easy to build with, plenty of room for larger components (ie heatsink and fan). Good quiet airflow from the 2 included fans. Love the tooless design but if you have an extra large graphics card a screw may prevent problems.

Cons: Plastic front door is somewhat cheap feeling but looks good and pops off easy for front access.

Other Thoughts: Definately not a super fancy high end case but for someone who wants a nice tooless mid range case it's a keeper.
