4 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Lightweight, nicely painted, plenty of places to mount large fans, a few air filters, "high heel" feet, nice appearance, a place to mount a GPU fan, equipped fan is quiet, came with some black screws, and just barely enough room to hide cables.

I find many of the complaints for this case to be wrong. While the metal is a bit thin, the case is sturdy when assembled. I personally had enough screws and there is no need for mounting brackets because the motherboard tray has it's own built-in. The push-off PCI panels are cheap but they were not that hard to remove and didn't bend my case at all. What I didn't like is how the top and bottom PCI panels were NOT push-off and I bent one of those expecting it was. Also, removing the front panel is not that hard, just pull from the bottom.

Cons: I was hoping this would be a LITTLE more sturdy and involve less plastic; the glossy kind can scratch easily. I would've preferred something to block off unused vents - too many empty holes and you'll ruin the airflow. However, I covered up the unused vents myself, and I knew about the vent "problem" before getting this. The red LED was uselessly dim, but with my setup a power LED is redundant so I decided to use that for the HDD LED instead and just ditched the red one.

Don't expect to successfully work on this case when you're in a dark room, it's basically impossible to see anything without a direct light source.

The part where I decided to deduct an egg was the USB port area. First of all, it LOOKS like it's a regular 3.5" bay, but it isn't. I wouldn't care so much about them making it built-in if they made it blend in with the mesh. I was relying on it being removable so I could shift it to the bottom and put a VFD screen on the top bay (shifting it to the bottom would give the VFD controller board enough room since the USB ports are on the lower half of the bay).

Other Thoughts: There isn't much room to hide cables, but there is at least sufficient room to make them not interfere with air flow. I don't really see the point of hiding them from view when you can't even see inside other than that tiny window.

I can see why some users might struggle to mount fans on the top, but I personally don't use them. I have them blocked off because I have one of those sideways-mounted heatsinks. Using a DVD drive, I made a tunnel that lets air pass directly to the CPU and straight out the back, while using the side panel vent to cool strictly my northbridge and GPU. The PSU has a bottom-mounted fan so that too has it's own cooling system.

5 out of 5 eggsSharp Looking Case! Great Deal With Rebate!

Pros: I was debating between this one and the V3. In the end I chose this one and happy I did. It is sharper and cleaner looking to me than the V3. It has plenty of space for a large video card and room to work in. TT Case $40 delivered.

Cons: I did notice that if you use the 2nd pci-e slot the 2.0, it will interfere with the hdd slot. Very crammed. I had to use the bottom slot for my drive. The top fans do not fit! I read online you have to rorder a thin 120mm fan to fit otherwise its just vents. Which is ok too.

Other Thoughts: -Thermaltake V4 Black Edition Gaming Chassis
-Intel Core i3-3220 Ivy Bridge 3.3GHz
-WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA III
-ASRock Z77 Pro3 LGA 1155
-Sapphire GeForce GTX 470 1280MB RAM 320-bit
-8 GB DDR3 RAM AMD 1600

1 out of 5 eggsIn Theory

Pros: Its black. Its the kids pc case so I don't have to look at it. The picts of this case looked great.

Cons: Says will hold 5 120mm fans... Doesn't say you need the 15mm thick ones. ONLY places for 120mm(25mm thick) fans is the one pre-installed and the side.

Other Thoughts: Went for a cheap case for the kids... Carefull what you wish for.

3 out of 5 eggsSo flimsly that my PCI-E cards are unseated

Pros: The fact that this is discontinued.

Cons: Back of the case is so flimsy that when I flex it, my PCI-E cards are unseated by 1/4 of an inch.

4 out of 5 eggsThermaltake V4 Case Review

Pros: + Powder-Coated Black Interior
+ ATX Mid Tower Case
+ Bottom SSD Mount
+ Up To 5 120MM Fans

Cons: - 25MM Thick Fans MUST BE USED On The 2 Top Grills
- Motherboard Standoffs (Details In Other Thoughts)
- Cable Routing Is Limited
- No Removable 3.5" HDD Cage
- Front I/0 Cables Are Not Black
- Red No-Screw Brackets

Other Thoughts: The motherboard standoffs are "Built-In" to the case, and are painted black, therefore, you would think they are missing. Just a heads up for someone buying this. They don't look like standoffs either, so trust me on this.......

I got this for $19.99 After rebate and a coupon. I was going to get another case, but you can't beat 20 bucks.

-

All in all, don't pay more than $30 for this case.

(BTW, NewEgg has amazing support, and quality. Don't hesitate to buy from here.)

2 out of 5 eggsDo not buy based on a Mail In Rebate

Pros: Good air flow/cooling

Cons: Thermaltake may be the worst company when it comes to rebates yet.

Other Thoughts: This is a good product but the support from this company is terrible. Third time I have been stiffed by Thermaltake. Granted I don't care but my customers do, then I do when it comes out of my cut. All in all, fair products, terrible company.

5 out of 5 eggsI Think Thermaltake Actually Cares

Pros: It's a quality case.

well thought out design.

corner holder for power supply is a nice touch

a lot of little nice touchs that could be eliminated to save money, BUT they didn't, and that's what I like

Cons: none

...well the bottom corner cover screw was kinda stripped and the cover did not come off easy, but i think they knew that when they decided to sell it on rebate for 20 bucks. i cant complain. this is the best 20 buck case i ever had

Other Thoughts: maybe it's time for me to give their power supplies another chance

4 out of 5 eggsNice case for the money ($23.14 AR+tax)

Pros: Great spaces for fitting in 4 HDD's with another space on the direct bottom of the case for an additional SSD.

The top 2 exhaust 120mm case fan spaces will not accomodate Cougar Vortex (CF-V12HP) fans; it just juts out a bit too much into the underlying motherboard. It might work with other types of motherboards, but definitely not the Asus m5a78l-m lx.

Front panel conveniently pops off to allow access for installation of a 120mm intake case fan. Fortunately, the connection wires to the front panel bay drive are not directly attached to the front panel, so you don't have to worry about possibly pulling/breaking wires off during the process.

Cons: Not enough tool-less bracers; only 3 of 4 HDD bracers, 1 of 2 3.5" bay drives, and 2 of 4 5.25" bay drivers were supplied.

Other Thoughts: Definitely a lot better than the Diablotek case that I currently had, especially when you consider the overall price point. Would buy again at this price point!

1 out of 5 eggsHorible case

Pros: Not even one. Newegg got the egg for shipping. Thermaltake owes me some.

Cons: This case has been brainless designed ... good for hatching eggs ... way too many issues to enumerate. If you don't believe ... waste your money !

Other Thoughts: Do not waste your resources on this or any case coming from them "as deal".

3 out of 5 eggscheap case

Pros: Cheap, not hard to work with.

Cons: The knockout expansion slot covers are absolutely horrible, they require so much force to remove it causes the surrounding metals to be bent. No cable management capability whatsoever.
