5 out of 5 eggsFirst name brand case

Pros: Packaged well, even comes with own bag
Stout stature, wide and decent height
Very roomy inside
No sharp edges and cable management is phenomenal
Case fans are quiet and all cables are sleeved nicely
LED lights not too bright
Price was perfect with rebate (which I received)

Cons: Drive bays while nice are kinda gimmicky
Drive bays also open to the left so if needing to get to often case needs situated to left of desk or sat off to the right enough to not hinder access

Other Thoughts: Great case, especially if you just build and set it. If I were to do it over, my personal preference would be to get the Fractal Design Arc Midi 2. Compare and you'll see what I'm talking about.

3 out of 5 eggsgood case, unresponsive company

Pros: well made case. Good cable management

Cons: Thermaltake does not answer any emails or try to help with problems

Other Thoughts: I have purchased Thermaltake cases in the past and never had any problems, so I thought this one was a good deal. The only thing wrong was one drive bay did not connect (I tried different cables, different hard drives and different MB sata connections). I went to their web sight and typed in my problem. When I didn't receive a reply(waited 10 days) I called their 800 number, but was told I had go back to the web sight and do it again which I did - still no reply. I decided I would just live with the 3 drive bays that work.
Next my time was running out for the rebate (I had 10 days left) so when I went to fill it out I got right to the end and the "continue button" locked up, not my browser or my computer, just the web page. When I closed the browser there was a email from Thermaltake with a "continue with rebate" link. Unfortunately the link was dead. I tried over and over again until the time ran out. I would have given a 5 rating if they had made any attempt to help me.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a great case!

Pros: All I can say is I love this case. Lots of room to work in. The upper bays toolless design makes installing optical drives a breeze. Lots of drive options and the added 3.5 bay is handy to have. The lower SSD/HDD hotswap option is pure genius. I have had only one issue with this feature which I'll put in the cons. The trays glide right in and with very little force just click into place. Very easy to swap drives without opening the case. One other great feature is the cable management system. It has lots of options for cable routing and the rubber lined openings is a great idea. Lots of fan options. I added a 200mm top fan to the case and it runs very cool. Great airflow.

Cons: The top bracket in the hotswap bay that holds the power and sata connection was just slightly bent up and in turn did not line up with the SSDs connections. I was watching from the side as I pushed it in just to make sure all of them lined up. Just a slight adjustment of the bracket and it was good to go.

Only other con I can think of is one some people here have stated. The case could use a couple more cable tie options on the side but with a little creativity you should be just fine.

Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this case and will buy another when I do another build.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Design - but Build Quality not up to Thermaltake's Usual

Pros: I have purchased and built a number of computers with Thermaltake cases. I was intrigued by the Easy Swap HDD as I was building a Home Server. The design is very good, but the top HDD bay did not work. I was surprised, as this is not usual with Thermaltake. I should have returned it, but I am currently away 10 days out of every 14 on a consulting gig and, frankly, did not have time.

Cons: The #1 HDD bay did not function

Other Thoughts: I would not take this as a condemnation of Thermaltake in general. I have had excellent products from them in the past. I just wish I had time to return this case. The value of the case is somewhat diminished with only 3 of the 4 HDD bays functional.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case overall but HSB does not line up

Pros: Very sturdy and solid case with lots of very quiet cooling.

Cons: The touted hot swap bays were anything but. Could not figure out why our WD Black series 1T was not being seen. Tried cables, direct power, etc. Turns out that the trays would hold any drive just slightly higher than the SATA connector. We had better luck with a 2.5" test drive, but the 3.5" WD Black would not align unless we held the connector up with a slight tilt. All drive bays exhibited the same issue. So to translate, to use this feature we have to be sure to have off the back cover and guide the trays in manually to ensure contact tothe connector... This cannot be the right way.... Unfortunately the issue was only seen after the MB and PS were mounted and cabled up so we chose to not RMA.

Other Thoughts: Not sure how this kind of defect could happen. Its almost like the bracket on the back of the HSB was manufactured with the connector mounting too low. I had limited better luck with the smaller drive factors but the full 3.5 would never align without help.
