4 out of 5 eggsNice features for a mid-range mid-size case

This review is from: Thermaltake Chaser Series A31 VP300A1W2N Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great features. Not entirely toolless, but I appreciate the drive bay mechanisms. Generally well designed. Metalic drive bay covers are good dust magnets, one reason I bought the case; I had one similar, and they just work. Would have preffered the metal grills fill the drive bay covers (like my previous case). There is still a lot of space for dust to find it's way around the grills. Still they have worked well.

It's not the greatest case, but its easily one of the best I have found for the price. Usually I find myself with countless niggles, despite the research, but this is one of the few purchases that I have been almost completely satisfied with.

Dust filter on the PSU also works solid. I was suspicious, being synthetic, rather than the fine metalic grill, but found myself quite pleased with the performance.

Chicken wing tray up by the front ports is also a plus!

Cons: Very light weight. This thing isn't terribly sturdy. Easily my biggest complaint is the flimsy chasis. It is sufficient, but only just. The case feet are especially poor construction. So far I have had no particular troubles with the apparently low quality materials, but it is worth noting. If you're going to carry this thing around frequently, consider looking elsewhere.

Other gripes. There are no stand mounts for wide ATX boards. In theory it supports ATX standard, but I've had plenty of boards from variety of manufacturers, of all price ranges that, fall outside of spec. Would have liked Thermaltake to just look at the market and accommodate by simply popping some more stand mount options in there. Minor complaint, but worth noting since a poorly mounted board could result in a short. Prepare to compensate with some sort of plastic risers.

Last note on the low quality materials, it will vibrate. I baffled mine, and usually end up baffling all of my cases anyway, but a lot of the rattle could have been easily addressed with a more sturdy chasis at least.

Other Thoughts: The snack tray by the front panel ports shows Thermaltake is really thinking outside the box.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

This review is from: Thermaltake Chaser Series A31 VP300A1W2N Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Solid case, sturdy and plenty of room for my stuff.
Plastic isn't too bad, and the styling is great.

Cons: The plastic bezel pieces that attach to the case aren't held on that great if you accidentally pick it up by the top plastic piece, but I'm not concerned about it and it isn't really an issue.

Other Thoughts: Great case for the money!

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

This review is from: Thermaltake Chaser Series A31 VP300A1W2N Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This is a decent case. I almost stayed out from it because of some of the reviews claiming that it felt "cheap", but ended up taking my chances. Despite these reviews, the case is actually very well made. Had room for all my components and seemed to have very good air flow. My i7 4790k us running cool overclocked. Also the drive compartment in front of the PCI-X slot can be removed, which allows a long video card to be installed and have room to maneuver the cables around it, which is great.
Also, the case is very good looking.

Cons: I just wished the front fan light up too. The led light on the rear fan is very dim. Has no top fan, only front and rear (although they work fine, but a 3rd fan would've been nice)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for my first build

This review is from: Thermaltake Chaser Series A31 VP300A1W2N Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: In my opinion one of the better looking cases, especially the price (sale for Christmas, but still a good price otherwise). Plenty of room, currently have a ssd, hdd, 2 disk drives, CX750, GTX 770 EVGA, and a 212 EVO heat-sink for my CPU. The fans are okay but I replaced one and added my own. Cable management is made pretty simple and the window is a nice addition. The front usb 3 ports are very handy as well.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsThermaltake Chaser Series A31

This review is from: Thermaltake Chaser Series A31 VP300A1W2N Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I love the looks as it fits well with my blue theme. The internal arrangement is very roomy for cables and replacing/installing drives is easy. The window is nice too.

Cons: I'm not sure how you would fit rear mounted fans/radiators into this case, the only available spots would be on the top or in a small spot on the bottom behind the PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsMid Size Case

This review is from: Thermaltake Chaser Series A31 VP300A1W2N Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It is a fine case. Kinda of small to do any kind of gaming, but for an office tower works just fine. Enough space for a SSD, backup spinner, a couple of sticks of RAM, and a graphics card.

Cons: Kinda of small does feel like it is on the cheap side.

Other Thoughts: Get what you pay for.
