5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the money

Pros: Compact, Air Filter in front, USB3 in front, decent build quality for the price.

Cons: Outer case part fit isn't perfect, but more than reasonable for the cost of this item. I had one case show up with a bad LED on the front. Manufacture sent replacement part no questions asked.

Other Thoughts: I bought 4 of these cases to replace all of my home office servers. They came at a great price point and have decent build quality for what you pay, especially considering they come with a decent 450 watt PSU. The Air Filter in the front of the case is a huge bonus I didn't know I was getting. I installed 1x 120mm fan in the front sucking in and 2x 80mm in the back blowing out. Air moves through the case well and I just vacuum off the front of the case every couple of weeks where the filter is trapping the dust. My office is staying much cleaner and quieter than before.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap, but usable.

Pros: Okay design mid-tower case. With a 450 Watt TT PSU. Clean black metal, and some plastic in front. Good enough air-flow for a basic workstation. But I would not use this for any kind of power or gaming setup. Pretty easy case to build a system, little extra space.

Cons: The Case has a really cheap feel, metal is light and really flexible. I slightly bent the case just picking it up by the edge. No extra space for cable management, but enough internal space. Very little airflow, only one 120mm fan opening in the front, which did not come with a fan. the is spot for a 80mm on the side panel, and what looked to be two 60mm fan spots right of the IO plate in the rear. Header cables are just a little short, and were a little tight and had to run right across the top of the motherboard.

PSU is basic and cheap feeling. And no cable sleeving, just a few zip ties to keep the runs together. I spent about an hour trying to cable manage this beast, and still looked cheap and rainbow colored wires everywhere. But for the price it does the job.

I built this as a basic home workstation for a client with solid hardware, no video card. Air temps were not great but acceptable. And client was happy with final product.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as I have had good experience with ThermalTake Low cost cases and PSU. I'm a bit disappointed in cheap feel of the case, and ugly PSU cables. Most of the other TT cases I have used have had much better layout and build quailty. I would not buy another given a choice.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 1. Good looking
2. Does have PSU
3. Price
4. Quit fan

Cons: Quality

Other Thoughts: When bought I was hoping it will be nice case because of the brand. But... It looks kinda good outside, but building quality is very poor. Arrived with one broken leg - impossible to repair, so I did custom from rubber piece. Very thin metal, back panel is dented and does have scratches out of box. Comes with 2 plastic posts for MB - it is not enough even for mATX MB. Cables too short. Overall I am not happy. I had few noname cases before and one Asus - anyone of them is much better than this one.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent case

Pros: It's not a terrible case. Attractive looking, and the included power supply is nice for the price.

Cons: The expansion slot and drive bay covers have to actually be broken off of the case, which is an easy way to slice your fingers if you aren't careful, and means you've got a nice open space in the back of your case if you decide to take an expansion card out later on. Also, the case didn't come with any fans, which was an unpleasant surprise come build time.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for a budget build to replace my dad's old PC. It's a decent case for the price, but it is very much a budget case. Don't expect any of the amenities of a nicer case.

3 out of 5 eggsDamaged upon arrival. Not shipper or New Eggs fault

Pros: Decent power supply I've used in the past, in a nice flow through case.

Cons: Thin construction, but expected for price. Damage was not expected. The top of the case was dented. No box damage AT ALL. Packed like all other cases, so I guess this one might have slipped through an inspection.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We apologize about any inconveniences the damage case may have caused. Please contact Customer Service who will assist you in obtain a replacement through warranty service.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case and solid

Pros: USB 3.0 and a power supply how could you go wrong.

Great name and rock solid case.

Lots of ventilation.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsMy go-to case

Pros: Well ventilated, USB 3.0, roomy. 450w PS makes it a great bang for the buck.

Cons: Would prefer another USB up front. Is that asking too much?

Other Thoughts: PS comes with a 6 pin adapter like mentioned in another review, however all that's needed is to separate the connector to make it a compatible 4-pin adapter. It's designed to be easily separated, so no problem there.

I wouldn't recommend this for a high end gaming system, but it's conservative enough to use in a business setting. I've built many AMD A8, FX and Intel i5 systems with this case with no troubles.

4 out of 5 eggsFair case

Pros: It's a nice looking plain black case, nothing fancy and no glowing lights.
It has plenty of space inside.
Wires tucked away easily.
Comes with a power supply.
Has a usb 3 port on the front.
Front panel is a filter. I built this one 5 months ago and reciently checked inside and its still clean.
For the price it is not bad.

Cons: It feels cheaply built. The metal the case is made from is thin (but most are these days).
The side cover doesn't completly line up with the front cover when it's closed (there's a gap showing at the bottom half - probably just a defect on that case)

Other Thoughts: Front panel sound cable could be about 4 inches longer.
They could use a heavier gage steel for the back panel where everything screws into it.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as good as the VL84301W2Z V3 that Thermaltake discontinued

Pros: Attractive case with a single USB 2.0 and 3.0 connection at top. Ventilation is good and seems to be well constructed.

Cons: 450 watt power supply seems cheap and have had problems on two out of 5 already. According to Intel this power supply is not Haswell compatible, and although I don't usually worry this with Thermaltake, apparently these power supplies are on the fringe of working at all.

Computer initially didn't post with red light and after multiple attempts, gives the error "intel power supervisor has detected a catastrophic power event has occurred" with a red led on motherboard. Was able to get past this for the OS load, but repeated when computer wouldn't wake up properly. Also occured at several cold boots. Grabbed a Thermaltake 430watt out of a spare parts case and haven't had a problem since.

Other Thoughts: Really disappointed in both the cheap look and apparently quality of the included power supply. Hoping Thermaltake will offer a different choice at a similar price point. We like Thermaltake but we can't afford to give our customers junk.

The only reason I have this 3 stars instead of 2 is to offset the person who claimed having high tech knowledge but didn't know how to split the 8 pin power connector into two 4 pin. really?

1 out of 5 eggsCase itself ok but...

Pros: The case itself is fine. A middle of the road case and power supply at a reasonable price.

Cons: The case I received is not the case shown in the picture or in the printed description. Close but not the same. No fan grills on the side panel or window as described in the text. But the biggest negative is that there was no power cord, no screws, no standoffs included. I have never bought a case that didn't include these required items. Contacted Newegg and got no reply after a week. Don't want the hassle of an RMA, just want what I paid for. Oh, and no fan either.
