5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plenty of Room
Looks Nice
Easy Setup
Moves Air nicely

Cons: Side door slides in a bit wonky so you can really tell if it's sliding in correctly.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a Thermaltake Armor+ that I got back in 2008.

The A71 has a lot more plastic bits but is a lot lighter weight.

The A71 also is slightly smaller but still has plenty of room.

Hope it last as long as the Armor + did.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of room and many bells and whistles

Pros: This a full size tower with many features that make this case a dream. I like the LED lighting as it looks cool. Tool free drive bays are fantastic. Cable routing makes for great air flow and a cool system that makes for an efficient and trouble free operation.

Has plenty of room for expansion and an extended video card so no worries for high end builders.

Cons: While a nice system tower, it is a bit pricey. But, you get what you pay for.

3 out of 5 eggsChaser A71 case

Pros: Nice size, great cable management, good airflow, easy access front ports.

Cons: Front fan was DOA. It also came with the wrong model. The specs said it was supposed to be a blue LED fan, it came with one without the LEDs. I got in touch with Newegg customer service - I just wanted to exchange the DOA fan for the correct model. They wanted me to exchange the whole case.

Considering that I had just finished putting the computer together, and that I had spend close to 2 hours dealing with them through the chat service (and that two of the reps just up and left my session without a word before finally saying something), I was not happy with that solution.

So rather than need to take apart the computer, then ship the case to Newegg, then wait to get the new case, then rebuild the computer, I just decided to blow another 20 bucks on the fan I should have gotten in the first place.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
Please contact Thermaltake Customer Service. We can have just the incorrect fan replaced through warranty service.

5 out of 5 eggsEpic case

Pros: Great case. lots of space to put stuff and keep it all neat and clean inside. the front of the case kinda has a tron look which i am happy with. its great u have both usb 2 and 3 on the outside of the case. Love the Hot-swap for Hdd

Cons: the stock fans are not great , would recommend buying different ones! but the stock ones work fine! not really a issue just my thoughts about it

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case, do not buy Bitfenix fans for it

Pros: Great looking and good build quality
Attractive side steel side panels
Large window
Lots of space
Great air flow.

Cons: The top 200mm fan slot DOES NOT work with Bitfenix Spectre Pro LED fans. (See other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: I bought this case as an upgrade from my $50 Thermaltake Commander MS-I. The case is of much higher quality, it is much more attractive, and is a lot larger. The extra space helped drop my GPU idle temperature 5 C.

The only problem I have had thus far is with the top fan mount. I picked up 5 Bitfenix Red Led fans to replace the stock fans. Once I mounted the fan in the proper holes the top cover wouldn't go on, I took a look and the Bitfenix fan was covering one of the holes for the top cover to snap back into. I tried the other 6 mounting spots on the bitfenix fan in various holes on the top of the case, I found a spot that allowed no holes to be covered however only 2 screws could be installed, the issue with this is the fan gets stuck and won't spin up. Do yourself a favor if you buy this case, buy thermaltake luna fans if you are going to replace the stock ones.

5 out of 5 eggsBEAST

Pros: Oh it's big.
Comes with two 240mm LED fans, that are pretty and movable.
Dust covers don't block any air as far as i can tell, very good design.
The cut out on the "non-motherboard" side is very nice, it displays a lot more then what ya may want displayed, but still nice.
Has two other fans barely worth mentioning, cuz they don't light up, I replaced them with ones that do.
Wire management is there and it works, but I didn't use it that much.
Air flow is amazing, in such a big case it's nice to feel and see air move inside this thing. More credit to the dust filters.

Cons: Wire management is a little silly. Its there, but you wont "want" it. I don't know, if you really want to hide your wires from the cut out on this case, your gona spend a lot of time cursing the wire management provided. I didn't hide all my wires, cuz I kinda like the look of some wires, and the case works fine in that situation, , but if your the person to hide them completely good luck.
NOTE: I did have a motherboard with tons of ports and stuff, you may have an easier time hiding your wires than me.
Also, it's heavy, so don't plan on attending regular LAN partys with this thing in tow.

Other Thoughts: Its big, black, and blue. If you like having tons of drives and ports and stuff it's great.
They design team could rethink placing the ports. I have the case on top of my desk, and the case ports are on top. I considered this when i bought it, and I'm fine, but it's really for placing on the ground. It's got a nice 3/4 inch clearance from the leg supports, so if carpet is your thing, then beware this limitation.

3 out of 5 eggsOK, expected more

Pros: Large case, easy cable management, looks nice, enough space for modest watercooling setups.

Cons: Really lightweight, front panel is cheap.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this tower based on my previous experience with a Thermaltake Armor case. The Chaser is in the pricey range for a tower and I was hoping it was heavy and sturdy just like the Armor case. However, it's really light and so is the metal. For some people this may be a plus, but personally I like heavy mostly steel towers considering mine are stationery after they are setup.

The front panels power button is really flimsy and has to be pushed at certain angles to work; dead center does not power it on. The USB 3 connectors are not lined up properly either.

The squeeze buttons for the front to remove the trays are a bit weird too. They feel like they would easily break.

Not an awful case, looks great but expected higher quality at this price point.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsHappy with my Purchase

Pros: The case comes with 4 fans, and plenty of expansion space, lots of hard drive bays, nice blue led fans, painted everywhere (see cons), nice blue colors on front of the case, very good customer service, this case also has great cable management, nice small holes on the back for zip ties and what not, a hot swap bay that I won't use, 4 front panel usb ports, this case is the full package.

Cons: The front panel connectors came defective and not working, but I contacted thermaltake and they were very kind and sent me a new one very quickly. Also I like the fact that the whole case is painted, but don't because I had no idea where to connect my anti-static wrist band. So I guess I'm a hypocrite.

Other Thoughts: The RMA was very quick and I'm very pleased with the customer service of thermaltake.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything you need.

Pros: Lots of room for whatever you need, including custom water-cooling.
Cable management is a breeze.
Room for HUGE CPU fan.
Hard drive management is easy.
Looks amazing.
Good Price.

Cons: The expansion slot screws are a little difficult to manipulate.
The drive bays in the front are tool-less, but it's tricky to get some drives into place. Once they're in, though, it looks fine and works great.

Other Thoughts: No regret on this purchase at all, it looks great and does everything I need it to.
