3 out of 5 eggsLove it, but needs 2 changes

Pros: This case is great as it's very roomy and can fit anything you want in virtually any part of the case. I love the fact that it has dust filters for every place where a fan is located. I also like the fact that if you're only using two ssd/hdd then you can completely get rid of that ssd/hdd rack and just put the two on the side of the case. That cleans up a lot of room.

Cons: I have two gripes about this case, which is why I docked two eggs.

1.) From a complete shut off and power on the fan leds always come back on, so it doesn't remember your settings if you had them off or not.

2.) The hand area in the back where you use to take the top part of the case could use some sort of rubber grommet or something to prevent dust from going back there, otherwise it rather defeats the whole purpose of having a dust filter up top.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the case is well made and I do like it and I would buy it again regardless of my two issues I have against the case, but that's only because it's the only case that I could fit the 280mm radiator that looked nice enough.

4 out of 5 eggsImpressed!

Pros: Really like the flexibility for HDD placement, bays are segregated into three parts, 3, 2, 3, to fit your design for additional fans, liquid cooling, LED's etc. The three large fans provided really good airflow. Case also comes with air filters that are easy to unlock and slide out, for easier cleaning.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: ---Three 200mm blue led fans, fan controller, plenty of storage space and many pass-throughs which make cable management easy for a first time builder.
---Easy to disassemble - top and front covers pull right off easily; bay racks are held in place with hand-screws; large open space in the back access to the motherboard for after market cooler bracket installation.
---Case itself is nearly fully porous in front and on top which means unparalleled amount of airflow.

Cons: ---The front fans cables are daisy-chained together and then sent up to the controller, but unfortunately the connectors do not have latches to hold them together. The cables are wound and bound pretty tightly. The connectors are therefore loose. If you notice one of the fans aren't working out of the box, check these connectors to ensure they are engaging properly. You may want to loosen up this tight bundle to reduce the stress on the connectors anyway.
--- There's room for a fourth 200mm blue fan on the top rack but not sure where to buy one. Why wasn't this included?

Other Thoughts: This was my first experience building computers and I bought two of these towers for how good I think they are: one for my wife's rig and one for my own.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as advertized by new egg

Pros: I like the Fan Screens, Good Space, nice ventilation, looks good. and functional.

Cons: Broke wire on audio connection from control panel (top) @ MOBO connection, in the NEWEGG Thermaltake Core V71 Extreme Full Tower Chassis video its stated that support bracket is reversible to other side of "customizable 5.25" & 3.5" drive bay stack hard-drive cages . It actually is not able to reverse, the screw holes are incorrect if you flip the bracket to the other side, [there are no screw holes on the other side of the cages themselves.] so how would you be able to screw them down, not critical for me but its MISINFORMATION and i had intended to flip the cage bracket

Other Thoughts: If you have a broke part like i did ,Thermaltake expects you to ship the part and wait for the replacement,
Unjust, considering its there product that failed and there at fault.
they let you go without the part until they can send you another one.
Star reduction due to Lame Thermaltake service policy and neweggs video being incorrect.

2 out of 5 eggsVibrates

Pros: Plenty of room.

Cons: Window vibrates. Hard-drive slots vibrate. Aggravating noise.

Other Thoughts: I should not have to deal with the noise from a case that cost this price. I would not recommend if you want a quiet build.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We at Thermaltake would like to apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

5 out of 5 eggsmakes a great home. good CPU case as well

Pros: Thought my old gaming rig was considered large till i put this PC exo-skeleton next to it (this thing is huge) - The blue led fans give a sort of glowing effect to colored cables I am using (green in my case). - The fans serve a dual purpose, as while looking cool they also seem to move air through the unit very efficiently and practically silent (High and low presets). - Nice removable filters on all the ports that draw in air (front, top, and bottom) - 3 ports on the back for running those custom liquid cooling set ups (average pointer finger width size diameter) - window is a nice touch and the hard drive cages are removable also.

Cons: does not come with a cape. doesn't fit inside a brief case. would of been nice if it doubled as a fridge. also when it rains the water goes through the filters so i wouldn't recommenced for outdoor use.

Other Thoughts: 71 is a prime number therefore this unit shares a lineage with Optimus Prime so watch out for decepticons =)

3 out of 5 eggssorta happy, not really

Pros: plenty of room and air-flow

Cons: case fan LED button stopped working after 30 days. go figure. what's weird is it is difficult to turn the LED off but it still always turns back on without 1000 button presses. i really hope the fun setting buttons don't follow suit.

window buzzes on the side panel. at first i thought it was the panel itself but after some testing i discovered it's the window itself. i attempted to re-press the metal tabs that hold the window on- didn't really work. i had to add a couple dabs of hot glue to stop the buzzing. luckily they're invisible from the outside but i shouldn't have to do that. also a small dent on the other side panel. can't see it from a distance but upon close inspection it's very obvious.

Other Thoughts: a few main screws were manufactured in at angles. i cannot get them out to re-seat them. overall manufacturing is 3/5 in my opinion. could have been awesome but somehow stopped at just OK.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Big solid case with ample room to work in and great cable management. The big case fans function very well and the blue LEDs look sweet. The fan filters are a good feature and the ability to turn off the Tron lights when you aren't around to enjoy them was smart thinking by Tt.

Cons: I can't even think of a joke comment for this section - the case is excellent.

Other Thoughts: The customer service group at Tt was super helpful. I blew two fan control boards during installation and they replaced them no charge and hassle free. I am very happy with this case.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a godly case

Pros: What a great case, worth every penny. Sturdy, large enough for my graphics cards. Great ventilation, removable filters.

Cons: None as of yet.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, not great

Pros: I bought this case due to it being inexpensive and the number of hard disk bays it has.

-Plenty of hard drive bays
-Extremely roomy inside, there will likely never be a GPU or CPU HSF too big for this case
-Plenty of room for water cooling

Cons: Forced cable management. The cable ports on the hard drives face the back side of the case instead of the front side where the window is and you would normally open it.

This makes adding a hard drive to your system an extreme pain in the behind. Headache inducing, in fact. It's a large case so you need to move it, take both side off, and then deal with cables.

Also, due to the size of the case, you will DEFINITELY need Molex -> SATA power cables considering both of my Corsair PSUs aren't able to fully reach the hard drive bays. Of the 6 SATA power connections my PSUs have, only 4 were able to reach.

Other Thoughts: If you consider your PC a "showpiece" and like a pretty looking PC, this is a VERY GOOD case. If you consider a case to be a piece of equipment with a high drive bay count then I would consider purchasing with caution, it isn't as easy to work in as the more expensive Fractal cases.
