5 out of 5 eggsUltimate case

Pros: All I can say is that she said this thing was big. I am not kidding as it was bigger than excected, but was great in the fact. The size of this case allows you to throw whatever you want in it.

The way the back panel is set, you can run a TON of wires hidden and have no issues whatsoever.

The fans are super quite and look great even on high.

The drive bays were easy to remove for extra airflow, and could be moved around for however you wish it to look.

Liquid coolers fit this case without any issues whatsoever. I am running a Corrsair H80i and had no issues with it whatsoever.

Cons: Only con I would have is if you want the bigger top mount fan. With having a liquid cooler, I mounted the smaller fan up top to pull more air from the case.

However, if you put a second fan up top, you limit yourself from a second optical drive, The way the case is made you cannot have the optical drive in the top if there are two top mounted fans.

5 out of 5 eggsthermaltake core v71

Pros: extremely customisable.
fit all mobo.
toolless is well built.
have way more included fan than I expected( some of them are not visible )
I did not think I could find something better than the thermaltake armor case.

Cons: only one thing that is not common for thermaltake. first time it happen to me.
there was a damaged wire (the front panel audio cable)
probably happen when they assemble the case,
I did a quick fix shorten the cable a little bit and fix it. with thermoretracable tube hope it will work fine. I did not wanted to send it back and wait way to long for a small thing like this.
I'm still waiting for the mobo to arrive. everything else is install except the mobo : \

finaly,
it is not for everyone, this case is huge(check the size spect and try to size it.
it probably dont fit under a prefab computer desk,
take some mesure before buying
I dont have this problem because my desk is custom made for this case ;)

4 out of 5 eggsGood case, bad rebate

Pros: Plenty of fans, plus plenty of space for more.
Friendly construction.
Metal frame.

Cons: You have to remove about 1000 thumb screw to remove the hard drive cages.

Other Thoughts: I put together all the rebate forms and original UPC code. Triple checked everything before sealing the envelope. Then my rebate gets denied because of a "missing UPC code". Now what... they request the original code so it's their word against mine. Called them and all I got was.... We'll open a case. 2 weeks later and haven't heard back. Very disappointed with the rebate, so don't count on it. Never had a problem before.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We apologize that you have had a negative experience with the rebate process. The rebate is handled by a 3rd party rebate center. Please contact Thermaltake Customer Service and we can provide additional assistance.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Big (seems more roomy than my old Antec Twelve Hundred)
-If you use only one or two hard drives, you can get rid of all the drive bays to make a ton more room and air flow.
-Full clear window panel makes it easy to see inside case. Very useful and bigger window than my old Antec case.
-Cutout in side panel for motherboard by CPU area will probably be very useful.
-I like how the motherboard standoffs are already attached to the case.
-Wiring holes with rubber flaps are a nice touch. Just the right size and locations and made for a very neat job.

Cons: -One 200mm fan was DOA. I have to physically give it a start with my hand (like twirl the fan blades with my fingers) and then she kicks on. Ridiculous. (RMA was pretty easy)
-The top USB and jack inputs on the top right of case did not line up with the holes in the top cover that gets removed. I had to take a screwdriver and loosen the panel that holds those inputs to try to shift it a bit to get to line up. It pretty much lines up now after adjustment.
-Holes in case could be a bit larger. I mean the whole front and top covers of case are composed of little grill hole and air gets sucked in or out through those hole. They are tiny and looks like they restrict airflow. I would have liked to see larger holes, at least by the fans to allow greater air flow. My old Antec Twelve Hundred case had much larger holes by the fans which allowed more air.
-Not sure if it matters, but my old Antec case came with motherboard screws that had a felt washer on each screw to make a nice cushion against motherboard. The screws that come with this case do not have that. So the screws actually make contact with the board. Not sure if that is a pro or a con.

Other Thoughts: For the money, I thought the build quality could be a bit better. But, I like the simple design and the large space in this case. The window is great. When I was building the computer, I tried to call customer service and no one picked up. I left a message and no one called me back. A few days later I tried again, and someone did pick up this time. They did an easy RMA for the defective fan, and sent out a new one by UPS. Hopefully, that one will work. Just for your information, the rear 140mm fan does not get controlled by the case. It must be connected to your motherboard or by another method, but there is no attachment to the case for it as it is sent. Not a big deal, because I just plugged it into my motherboard, but I would have liked a 4pin fan for PWM function. Yes, I know DC mode will regulate a 3-pin fan which is how I have to have it. I bought a Noctua 140mm PWM fan to possibly replace that rear one. I installed a second 200mm top fan, and it's an easy job for even a noob. Overall, I think this case is a very good and practical case but could use a few tweaks, especially those air holes I discussed earlier.

4 out of 5 eggsBeautiful tower

Pros: Everything is great, the leds and design are amazing.

Cons: It says you can install 2 x 120mm fans at bottom but honestly there is barely any room and one section you can't even screw the SCREWS in b/c the leg is blocking it.

Other Thoughts: I gave it a 4 star b/c my case came damaged. I will be contacting newsegg. I paid $30 for shipping and setup everything in my tower but when I went to rip off the plastic off the GLASS CASE....it revealed a crack. I'm so disappointed given how much I spend. I will be contacting them tomorrow.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge Air flow & Perfect case for pet owners

Pros: * Great amount of airflow. After removing the front HDD cases, the two large fans can pull in a ton of cool air in.
* Lot's of options for fans- lots of fan space.
* Every intake port has a screen filter. If you're a dog owner like i am, Corgi owner for that matter, These are very helpful in screening doggy hairs.

Cons: The only negatives i can find is that this case weighs a lot and has no wheels. i would rather push my case along when I'm servicing it. There was also an issue that i had when loosening the tum screws to the hdd case; they were overly tight. I had to use my power tool to get them undone because hand tools wouldn't work.

Other Thoughts: This is the perfect case for me; with the modular hdd encasement, screen filters & included fans. The hex comb patterns are a nice touch as well.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but minor flaws.

Pros: I have to say. This case surprised me. It looks phenomenal. Well designed. Sturdy.

1) Steel. It is incredibly sturdy. Even with reversing the hdd support beam.

2) Incredibly silent and cool using the provided fans only.

3) Plenty of room for everything. Seriously. A lot of room for cable management.

4) Filters. And a lot of them.

Cons: Cons:

1) Reversing the mount works but you cannot screw in the hdd bays to the beam. No screws holes. If you want to have that little extra support you will have to drill.

2) 90 degree Angle sata's are practically useless.

3) If you want to use the mounts on the backside of the case you will have to lose the support of the thumb screws holding the hdd bays on the backside.

4) I wouldn't remove the top of the case more than a few times or if you do, treat it like car trim. Even pulling on the front and back to limit wear on the front panel circuits and USB ports.

5) Front and rear-bottom filters slightly an annoyance to remove.

Other Thoughts: My opinion. Well worth the money. Though there are some annoyances, it's bearable.

The Dust filters are a great touch. I live in a dust magnet apartment, under construction, so I'll comment back in a week on how the filters hold up!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks OK. It's big!

Pros: 1. There's a lot of room for stuff.
2. Everything stays relatively cool.
3. I like the drive holders.
4. Fan LEDs look cool.
5. I like all the filters.

Cons: 1. It's bigger in real life than on paper.
2. It's not really loud but it's certainly not quiet. If you shut down, then you notice how loud it really is. I bought an oversized case to get larger fans hoping that it would be nearly silent.
3. As mentioned in another post, fan speed and LED state is not saved after wake up. It's annoying to have to turn off the LEDs and slow the fans down a couple times a day. It would've been easy enough to include a couple of jumpers on the controller board for default state.

Other Thoughts: I knocked off a star because of the fan/LED controller's lack of jumpers. But overall for me, I wish I went a different route. It's a bit noisier than I hoped for and swapping out the fans would be expensive.

Also, if you have a Corsair H100i, it probably won't work on the bottom of the case because the hoses aren't long enough for this case.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome case

Pros: big fans, with filters and blue leds, very water cooling friendly, lots of room behind side panel for wires, lots of slots for hard drives, fan speed low/high control, 4 usb ports on top, lots of space inside in general, very big side window, hdd cages can be taken off or rearranged, additional three 120mm fans can be put on bottom which is also filtered, filters are easy to remove on top and bottom

Cons: front fan filter is not easy to access, 200mm fan airflow is partially restricted by radiator mounting rails

5 out of 5 eggsCore V71

Pros: Very nice gamer case is for sure, definitely has plenty of room for anything you want into a computer. Excellent for air cooling or water cooling. Very well built case, that has abit of weight to it, but all the possiblities you can do with this is nice. Cable management as well.

Cons: Powersupply not included. That is most cases anymore.

Other Thoughts: Definitely pricey, but worth it i believe. This case is huge, so got to have space for it.
