5 out of 5 eggsLove this case!

Pros: I recently decided to get rid of my consoles and move into the PC gaming world. After a lot of research on cases I went with the V71. First off the case is very large, but that is a great thing for me! I had a mid tower case and not all of my components would fit. I had them laying all out side the case. So it was time for a new one. This case had room and then some for all my parts.

Not only that but the fans that come on this case are large and quiet. There are settings to adjust the fan speed, which I leave on low when using normal operations like web browsing. Then the high setting is great for gaming. The fans move a lot of air and are not that audible.

I have only had the case for about a month, but I love it so far!

Cons: Only con I had was the instruction manual. Instructions were not that clear, but easy solution was to go on Thermaltake's website for more detailed instructions.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great case for those that need a lot of room!

4 out of 5 eggsHulk of a case

Pros: Very cool case, lots of room for any upgrades, you will not have any problems putting in any graphic cards, fans etc. Fairly modular and the drive bays are screw-less and easy to pop in and out. Overall if you have room for this beast under your desk or on the side, then get it. Even with my caveats listed below, you should be able to get a RAID 5 going very easily

Cons: Out of the 8 pop out drive bays, 3 sit on a solid metal sheet which is part of a removable drive section which you may chose to leave in or take out if not needed or for better air flow. The solid metal make it very difficult to get the power and sata cables installed to the drive. The cables tend to stick out. I wasn't comfortable leaving them that way.

Other Thoughts: The 3 giant fans are all connected to one central power cable (so far as I've been able to see), making for fewer cables and connectors that clutter the build. Great thinking

5 out of 5 eggsBIG AND BLACK

Pros: Huge interior space (removable HDD bays)
All black
Great radiator support for water cooling solutions
Nice side panel to view your awesome PC
Cool blue LEDs
Cheap

Cons: No cons for this item

Other Thoughts: Great buy for my new PC, it's stunning when it's lit up in a dark room. I've also never had so much space from any prior PC cases I've purchased, then again this is my first full tower case and I've removed all HDD bays since I can conveniently put two SSDs on the back of the motherboard tray.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Huge case with plenty of room to work with

- Probably the widest case I have ever owned with a lot of space to hide cables behind the motherboard tray

- Easily removable dust filters on the top, front and bottom of the case

- The case came shipped with the fans neatly routed and tied off

- Hooks are available throughout the case for cable tie offs

- Multiple hard drive mounting spots and configurations

- The best hard drive tray system I have seen. Mount the drive in the tray and simply snap on a plastic bracket which functions as screws

- The included fans are fairly quiet and put out a good amount of airflow

- The fan cables/wires are covered with a black, flexible rubber sheathing.

Cons: - Plastic, plastic, plastic. The case while sturdy in appearance is mostly made from plastic which feels brittle.

- The top and front of the case snap off and into place. In order to remove the panels, they require a bit of force and since the snaps are made of plastic, it's inevitable they are going to break and I already see warping on mine. Thankfully you shouldn't have to take them off very often if ever once you are set up

- The top 5.25 drive bay will only fit a half size drive such as a fan controller if you end up adding a 2nd top fan

- More of a nitpick but the 5.25 drives do not sit flush with the front of the case and are pushed in about 1 inch into the case which looks a little odd.

- The 5.25 tool-less system is cumbersome. You have to force the drive into the bay to snap it into place. The clips are plastic and it feels like they will break inserting the drive

- The hard drive trays when mounted normally prevent you from using angled SATA cables. You will need standard flat ended cables.

- The fan controller only supports the model of fan included and does not have another connector for adding a 2nd top fan.

Other Thoughts: My case shipped with a faulty fan controller. The LEDs would light up on the front and top fans but they would not spin.

I contacted Thermaltake Customer Service who were very friendly and helpful and will be sending me a replacement controller. If the replacement controller does not work, I will have to RMA the case but I will end up replacing it with the same model.

This is my first Thermaltake case after being loyal to Cooler Master for years. I'm disappointed it didn't function correctly out of the box but these things happen. The case itself has a lot going for it and with a few tweaks take it to 5 stars/eggs.

It's easily the cleanest looking build I have ever done and you can barely see any wires with how many places there are to route the cables and with the space to hide them.

If you are looking for an alternative to the Cooler Master HAF line, this case is worth looking at.

5 out of 5 eggsAll in all, wonderful.

Pros: HUGE. I think i bought myself a house.
Fan LED on and off.
Insane amount of fan spaces. Enough space for 3 360mm spaces.
Fans all have mesh filters
GREAT packaging
Most of the pros are pretty much advertised.

Cons: Too heavy.
No handles.
Not a lot of cable management space compared to my silverstone temjin tj-04 Which over an inch of cable space.

Other Thoughts: No con was worth taking even half an egg off. It being heavy is due to the quality material they use for the computer. It just would have been nice if they included handles seeing how this case by itself weighs nearly as much as some fully equipped computers.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case, better service

Pros: spacious case with excellent air flow and good cable management, granted it's a full tower and should be easy to build in... but that's not always the case (get it? case. I slay me.)

Cons: none I can think of

5 out of 5 eggsMost water cooling compatible, great value, but can still improve

Pros: THE Most water cooling compatible case in the market, you can put two 360mm radiators on top and on front, one 240mm radiator on the bottom at the same time, and still have place to mount your hard drives up to two 3.5 hdd, that's amazing, handful cases could do that, probably the only one could do this.

And it comes with three 200mm fans with led which is for sale $19 each on newegg, and they are quite especially in low speed mode, barely audible.

So it's a really great deal for $110 with promo.

Cons: The material of this case is somewhat thin especially side panel compare to some high-end cases, it's not that solid. But it's enough to hold your stuff in it, it's a computer case anyway not a safe.

Hdd cages is hard to assemble, a lot of thumb screws and they are hard to align. Another thing is that you can't use L shape sata connectors because the cages are blocking it.

It's great to have two 3.5 hdd mounting space on the back, but having one or two ssd mounting space could be even more great, it's a couple of screw holes thing anyway. It would be very useful for someone like me having 1 ssd and 2 hdds, and would like to mount a 360mm radiator on front.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's a good case for people like to put a lot of radiators in their case, definitely a good deal for its price.

5 out of 5 eggsThermaltake Core V71 Extreme Full Tower Chassis, Compatible With Extreme Liquid Cooling Builds (CA-1B6-00F1WN-00)

Pros: Best Case I have seen or used, plenty of room and very adjustable to your needs now and for the future.
Just can't say enough but thank you Thermaltake

Cons: not a con but would love to see a coupler for 10 fans to be controlled instead of 3, just a wish

Other Thoughts: Very clean lines. Huge window. Removable bays. 2 hidden drive bays. Dust filter for nearly every fan (Huge Plus). Solid construction. Just a well built and thought out case.
If your looking for a full tower -- This is the ONE for you.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case - beware of rebate

Pros: I think this case is very aesthetically pleasing and the build materials are of "decent" quality. Just about any configuration can be done with this case, the layout options, especially for water cooling, are bountiful. Even if you are not water cooling this case would be great for air. Haven't had any issues with clearance for anything I have put in it, which includes some hefty components.

Cons: The rebate. I have read Thermaltake is bad with their rebates, turned out to be true for me. I have done tons of rebates before and never had a single issue. I am 100% positive I provided the correct materials for the rebate to go through. Thermaltake claimed I didn't, even when in the scan of the materials they received, it showed the UPC label they claimed wasn't there...

Nonetheless, I emailed them about it, they gave me some generic response and a phone number, so having done that c-r-a-p before, I decided to skip it and never opt for a Thermaltake rebate again.

Other Thoughts: I'd say a good price for this case is $100, which I would have gotten it for if the rebate went through. Very satisfied with the case itself. highly recommend it, but not the rebate.

Btw, Thermaltake, please do not respond to this review, as I am far out of the rebate period, there is nothing you can/will do to get me my money back.
