1 out of 5 eggsScratched Bent and Sad!

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: I bet these things are really cool if all together and not completely destroyed when you receive them.

Cons: I ordered two of these and both of them were completely destroyed when they arrived. Rivets were sheared off, all of the trays and fans were loose inside. Scratched bent and sad.

Other Thoughts: If they had arrived in 1 piece I would give these bad boys a rating of 10 out of 5. Amazing design, definitely design by people that use computers like I do. Two more on there way to me today. I will report when I receive them. Crossing my fingers... Recieved second set form newegg worse shape then the first two. Newegg is not the place to order these from. I paid over 280 dollars shipping to get them all damaged. Bought two from the rain forest store both in perfect shape. all six were shipped using fedex so you do the math.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome case for the price

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: Huge! with endless configurations, can be left or right side, more than enough rad spots as well as air if you choose multiple mounting points for either. I was actually surprised by the quality for the price, I was expecting something flimsy and its not at all. very sturdy. dust screens included and work great. dual PSU capable and the list goes on and on.

Cons: Huge! make sure you have room for this monster

4 out of 5 eggsHuge, Lots of space and room to upgrade

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: - Huge
- Lots of places for fans
- Heavy steel
- Solid feel case
- Lots of room for Hard drives and anything you can think of.
- Lots of room for upgrades
- Beautiful Matte white finish

Cons: - Not so good job on power coating paint
- No easy way to carry such a huge case
- Heavy
- Extremely big size of a normal window AC unit

Other Thoughts: - For the price of the case the quality of the materials use is average.
- They should built some type of handles to allow for easy handling.

5 out of 5 eggsVery big case. Made my corsair air 540 like like a pretty small case small mid tower next to a full tower difference.

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: I built and assembled my system for my air 540 to the beast of a case in a hour. The removable mother board tray is really nice. Check psu cable length my Rosewill 1000w semi modular barely fit.from shear distance from the power supply to components. Definitely a case for custom work whether a air cooled beast or custom water loop with plenty of room to spare.

Hard drive cages are nice and the extra fan headers are packaged under the hard drive cages neat way to set it up. So not all of the parts are just in a bag. This case was well planned out for the most part. I can k ok a few items I did not like but each person may find other things they like or don't like. Overall the case is what I was expecting and then some. Like so many review sites this has room to spare and grow.

Cons: Case thumb screws over tighten on certain items. Other than that nothing really a con about. You know going it to purchasing this case that is it s a monster in size.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat are words?

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: -Size
-Flexibility
-Build Quality
-Modular

Cons: -Weight

Other Thoughts: My command of the English language is suddenly inadequate to describe the overwhelming satisfaction this case bestows upon us mere mortals that sit around its feet. The ability to mount seemingly anything and everything anywhere and everywhere, combined with the mind-numbing modularity and fan mounting options lead me to believe this will be the last case I will have to buy for my home computer needs. I have enough room to theoretically mount two complete computer systems in one case - two power supply slots, 6 hard drive bays, 3 5.25 bays, and still have more space than my old mid-sized ATX case had when stripped empty.

My plan was to mount as many fans as possible, but before I do, I've decided to drop some eye-bolts into the concrete foundation so I can anchor tether lines to the case so it doesn't take flight.

A+

3 out of 5 eggsIt works, but it is not as flexible as it seem.

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: It is what I expected, for the most part. It is large, and there is a good deal of customization options.

It opens up nicely for building, Side and top panes come out easily.

Holes for mounting wheels if wanted.

Cons: The case is not as flexible as it seems.

The HD cages do not sit well without the fan bracket mounted underneath them, so if you are intending to use the fan brackets for fans then you may be out of luck. I only was able to locate more fan brackets for the black case, so I ended up just using one of the cages and mounting my other drives in a couple other places, like the SSD in one of the optical drive bays and my other HDD in the little bracket that can hock up to two different locations.

It is not packaged the best, my side window came with a very noticeable scratch. It is disappointing.

Some parts seem a bit cheaply made. The HDD/SSD mounting tray that hooks up under the MB tray hangs on by a tab of metal and two thumb screws that barely seem to hold on.

If you use side mounted fans, the case ends up losing a lot of flexibility due to the loss of space from the fans. If you want 3 140s or 4 120s then the fans will not fit next to the PS, I moved the PS to the other side but then I lost the ability to mount my two SSD on the MB mounting tray ( which is why they ended up in an optical bay). The fans did not like fitting next to the HDD cages either.

Other Thoughts: It is a big box, not fancy looking at all with all the mesh.

I am thinking about building a small table around the Core x9 that is a few inches taller then the case to basically give myself an end-table and make up for the space the case takes up.

5 out of 5 eggsGenerous with the rebate

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: Huge, lots of space for anything you could want, including fans, thermaltake

Cons: Huge. No, like... Really huge. Hard to find 5.25 drives and things that match the white

Other Thoughts: For full disclosure, I haven't built my pc yet, but I will update when I do. For now I just wanted to comment on thermaltake's rebate department, who approved my rebate even though I totally mailed in my stuff the day after the last day it was supposed to be postmarked. When you fill out the online rebate form, they even tell you the exact date when you need to have it postmarked, which is actually pretty nice, if I'd only looked. I didn't even have to call and make a complaint, they approved it immediately upon receiving my paperwork.

Now I'm just looking forward to building a new gaming machine!

P.S. In case you're like me, thinking "oh yeah this case is big, of course, that'll be great," I recommend you look at the actual measurements before you order. Even the review saying that it was the size of a window ac unit didn't prepare me (maybe I've only seen small window ac units)
I expected it to be about half the volume it actually is. Maybe 2/3 as tall and 3/4 as long. It's something like 15x18x25.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case For A Great Price

This review is from: Thermaltake Core X9 Snow Edition E-ATX Stackable Tt LCS Certified Cube Chassis CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Pros: This case is great for someone who hates going into there case and coming out all scratched up.This thing is a beast. Its easy to clean and can be modified to your hearts desire for almost any user. The side panel are interchange and so is the power button panel.Plan on buying a second case due to they are stackable too.Great case over all worth the change.

Cons: My only real complaint is the side panels are not the most secure they do not seat 100% and in my opinion needs to be addressed. The locking mechanism for the side panel is not designed well.It closes but not to my liking.
