The Obsidian Series 650D is manufactured with strong, stamped steel parts for increased rigidity, and coated in a black textured paint. The front panel features a beautiful black brushed aluminum faceplate to bring a subtle elegance to your next build. In addition to the quality construction, the Obsidian Series 650D comes with excellent cooling as well. A large, black 200mm intake fan hides behind the front dust filter, quietly pushing vast amounts of air over your hard drives and video cards. The air is then exhausted by a second 200mm fan on top of the case, and a rear 120mm fan. The top fan can be replaced by dual 120mm or 140mm fans, and is pre-spaced for a dual radiator if you’re interested in watercooling. And all fans are controlled by a three-mode, four-channel fan controller should you want to make your own choice between noise and performance.

  • newegg Supreme Expandability with 10 Drive Bays Boasting four tool-free 5.25" drive bays as well as six 3.5" SSD-ready drive bays (3.5"/2.5" Drive Caddies), the Corsair Obsidian Series 650D provides plenty of expansion. Plus, eight expansion slots give you tons of room for multiple graphics cards.
  • newegg Great Cooling Performance The Obsidian Series 650D mounts dual 200mm fans and one 120mm fan, which provide outstanding cooling for even the hottest components. It also features an integrated fan controller that lets you quickly adjust cooling performance and noise levels.
  • newegg Cable Routing System The Obsidian Series 650D features brilliant cable routing system which provides a way to keep your system neat and tidy.
  • newegg CPU Backplate Cutout CPU cutout allows for easy installation or removal of CPU coolers, without having to remove the motherboard.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O The Obsidian Series 650D comes with a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port, four USB 2.0 ports, one IEEE 1394 and 4-channel fan controller on the front panel for convenient access.
  • newegg Other Features In addition to quick-release side panels which make it easier than ever to upgrade your hardware, the Corsair Obsidian Series 650D also features easily accessible dust filters that make maintenance simple and hassle-free. In addition, its adjustable drive cages can be removed and relocated to accommodate large video cards.

1 out of 5 eggsBuzzing fan

Pros: Case is beautiful and sleek, tons of features.

Cons: Top fan makes a buzzing noise every second no matter what setting the fan controller is set to. I've submitted an RMA request 4 days ago and haven't heard anything from Corsair. Terrible customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Lots of room, cable management is clean, and runs cool.

Cons: Dosen't come with the front USB 3.0 header. The space behind the motherboard could use a little more room.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tower Case

Pros: If your looking to buy a mid sized case that has great space, this is it. Panels on the sides make the case easy to open for what ever you want to do with it. It's basically a great case plenty of space for wires and room for air circulation.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic case

Pros: Very expandable, easy to work inside, the external SATA drive is fantastic for backing up and restoring things. Its pretty quiet and helps keep things pretty cool.

Cons: Dust filtering could be better.

Other Thoughts: Building machines for decades, and this is probably my favorite every. I plan on using this one for quite some time.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case I've Ever Had

Pros: Plenty of Room
Middle Bays Disconnect
Awesome Cable Management Solution

Cons: Front USB 3.0 does not come with a motherboard header. They are pass-thru cables, which are disappointing but you can snag a $5 adapter online which is what I did.

Other Thoughts: Great case, got it online for much cheaper than here brand new. It was from a third party seller so that's understandable.

Great cable management and plenty of room. I just wish there was more room on the opposite side of the case for the cables. Since I have a TX750 PSU, I have a lot of extra cable length. With so much length it's hard to get the side panel to close and appear straight.

With a little muscle you can close the panel and get it looking fine.

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth it

Pros: Extremely spacious. Rubber grommets inside the case make cable routing a dream, and there are plenty of them. The case has motherboard standoffs built in which is great as well. PSU is bottom mounted as well.

Cons: Fan control knob broke off after moving it around to test. USB 3.0 cables have to be run outside of the case for the front panel ports which is unsightly.

Other Thoughts: This is by no means a budget case, but it's sturdy, well-built, and friendly to system builders. There is plenty of potential for extravagant builds with this case (mine is fairly minimal however!). If you have the cash this case is definitely worth it, but make sure you have room for it as well since it's larger than any ATX mid tower I've ever worked with.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty big.

Pros: -It has the greatest cooling system you could ever ask for.
-Tons of space for all your components
-Really Customizable
-You don't need tools to do most things.
-The vast amount of space ensures that your performance won't suffer due to the fact you suck at cable management.

Cons: It might be too big for some people.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: Tons of Grommets
User friendly tooless set up.
Roomy inside the case
200 mm fans work
Perfect mid size tower to carry and move
Urbane finish

Cons: Annoyed with the scratches on the back near PSU and Exhaust vent
No rubber linings on PSU area.
Aluminum finish tends to get dirty quickly.
Not enough room for back cable management. It will bow! No matter how good you think your cable management is.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Fantastic case, great layout. Has grommetted holes for cable routing with an ample space behind the back panel to store said extra cables. Absolutely huge, do not think you can fit this in a cabinet or something.....its big. Also, do not carry this thing fully loaded up stairs, you will pull a hernia. But...big, black and heavy was what i wanted when i ordered this and i am as happy as a man can be.

Cons: Downside? The dratted fan controller of doom.... Died last week, sent a rma to corsair and within two days got a confirmation and was able to reorder the part. Other than the fan controller, this has been the best case bar none that i have ever worked on.

Other Thoughts: Corsair leads the industry in quality and customer service, and it shows with every product they churn out. The rapidity of their response to me confirms thier insistence on being the best in the business. I am glad i purchased this case.
