4 out of 5 eggsGreat overall

Pros: Great wire management, everything feels sturdy. The rubber around the wire management holes feels nice and supple to the touch (I was worried it would be stiff and plastic-like). Thumb screws abound which is a nice thought. My first bottom-mounted PSU and I'm a fan already. Makes the case just feel neater to me for some reason. Water-cooling reservoir ready (though I haven't bought one yet). Case fans are sufficiently quiet.

Cons: Thumb screws are a nice after thought but they all feel like they don't thread correctly... I end up having to get a screw driver anyways because they don't want to thread without the extra torque.

Also, I didn't detect any sharp edges but I had a bloody knuckle within 5 minutes of working on it... no idea where I got it.

Other Thoughts: Great case overall, would recommend.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat wire management - Roomy - Bad front audio ports

Pros: I was torn between getting this and a Cooler Master HAF - I went with this one because of the rubber grommets around the cable routing holes.

This case has plenty of space without being excessively large. The rear panel (Behind the motherboard) features a kind of geometric bulge which makes the case about 1.5" wider, which gives your cables plenty of room to reside without pressing against the panel and bowing out the side. The overall effect looks good and provided ample space for my setup without greatly expanding the overall size of the case. A parallel bulge on the front panel gives plenty of room for your cooling solutions (Air in my case, though it looks quite accommodating to a water-cooled rig)

The construction is quite solid - all the main body panels are metal and the structure of the chassis is solid. The only plastic parts are on the front face, though the color between the metal and plastic is similar enough that the aesthetic is maintained.

The light button on the front panel works as advertised. With the lights off, the front panels merge perfectly with the CD-drive covers, so that this case wouldn't look out-of-place on the desk of any businessman, but tap that button and its suddenly a LAN-box showcase. Speaking of, the top panel features a deep carrying handle which should make transporting this box a breeze.

As far as noise is concerned, it's not quite 'so quiet I forget it's on,' but it's pretty dang quiet.

Cons: The only real problem I've experienced so far is that the front audio jacks appear to be DOA. I'm getting in contact with Corsair to see if they can resolve this, and will update my review with their results.

Other Thoughts: The little rubber feet on the bottom are great - they stick to my desk surface like glue. In fact, while I was building the box, one of the feet peeled off the case while I was trying to rotate it on my workbench. The feet themselves are wonderful, but perhaps another strip of glue attaching them to the case might be called for.

My build contains:
Asus Z97-A mobo
Intel i5-4690K CPU
nVidia 670 GTX GPU
2X8GB memory
256 GB Sony SSD

2 out of 5 eggsTight when using liquid cooler

Pros: Nice design and quiet fans.

Cons: My setup used a ASRock X99 Extreme4 with a Corsair H100i CPU cooler. When mounting the cooler on the top it hits the heatsink on the MOBO and makes it tight to connect the 8 pin ATX 12V connector. I had to remove the cooler to connect it.

Other Thoughts: You can mount the cooler on the side panel but that would be a PITA getting in the case. They need to redesign the case giving more room between the top and MOBO location

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case!!!

Pros: The case is way roomie, and has tons of ways for running your cable to hide them and make getting to your motherboard when you need to easy. VERY Quiet! I have owned this case for over 3 years now, and I still love it! Well worth the price tag!

Cons: None what-so-ever!

Other Thoughts: I recently had my front USB ports malfunction (12/2014), and when I tried to order the replacement front I/O panel the manufacturer (Corsair) was out of stock. I had to wait 2 months for it to become available, but Corsair made it right and shipped me the replacement part for free!

I would recommend any Corsair product to anyone, anytime! You cannot go wrong when buying from this company.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Case has lots of room and great cable management!!!! It has plenty of extra fan mounds!!! I am running 8 total fans. The 3 that came in the case, (2) 140 mm for the side panel and (1) 120 mm for the bottom of the case and 240 mm corsair H100i water cooler which mounts on the top of the case. Room is not a problem.

Cons: If you install a water cooler in this case be aware it does get tight between the fans for the water cooler and the top connections for you motherboard! You can still get to them but it is very very tight and I could not use the mount holes for the water cooler. Its not a hard adjustment but I had to in order to connect the power and fan to the top of the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: With the water cooler problem I had, it still would not stop me from purchasing this case. With the room and cable management in this case, It is still worth the purchase!!!

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy Case with Decent Cable Managing

Pros: Bought this case to replace my Antec Three Hundred I have been using for the past 5 years, and I normally enjoy basic sturdy designs so when I was looking at Corsair cases at my local store, I though they seemed well built and durable. So I came onto Newegg to get a better selection of computer cases and saw the Carbide 400R which had various areas which fans could be mounted, along with cable management that you have access to on the right side panel. It comes with two white 120 mm fans which you have control of whether or not their white leds are on or off by a button on the cases front panel.

This case is also pretty good if you are planning to add a closed loop water cooling for your processor. I ended up getting a Corsair H100i water cooling setup, and installed into the case without any issues of space or location available. I currently have my radiator mounted at the top of the case, and my cpu idles anywhere between 20-26*C, when gaming or actively using different applications on the computer it will go up to 30-40*C.
I also had no issue getting a Geforce 770 GTX to fit inside the case and was able to connect both power cables necessary for the Video card without any space issue.

I would recommend this case to anyone who is looking for a good mid-range computer case, and not looking to spend over $100.

Cons: Only issues I have with the case is, it is a little heavy, and probably would be troublesome to move constantly if planning to use for traveling to LAN parties, friends houses, or gaming conventions. Beyond that I have no actual issues with this product, and hope to continue to use for 5+ years.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case

Pros: It's a simple and very durable design. I seem to get great airflow with just adding two fans to the top. There is a cable management system that keeps everything looking nice and making stuff easy to get to.
I really haven't had any problems with this case besides minor things that may not be a problem for most people

Cons: The hard drives are insert from the panel that hides all the wiring. The opposite side of where your motherboard faces. So in order to swap out hard drives you have to have access to that panel.

4 out of 5 eggsWhere's the manual?

Pros: Big case, thumb screws, toolless drive bays, lots of space for everything including my large CPU cooler and extra fans, solid carrying handle, love the fairly quiet included LED fans.

Cons: The manual was only useful for identifying what the many little bags of included screws were for. There was no explanation of the cables from the front bay, which would have been VERY useful for me as a first time builder, to know that there is in fact no system speaker included on this case. Lots of confusion ensued, hence the -1 egg.

Other Thoughts: Good solid case, nice options for cooling, easy enough for a first time build and I'm sure it will last.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Liked the look of the case and all the extra openings in the back for better cord management. Highly recommend as a first time builder as it was quite easy using this case.

As for the actual quality of the case, it is about what you expect at this price point. The big winners that made me choose it over other cases was the actual size as I wanted a huge case with plenty of room, and the openings in the back that help with cables.

It does its job, it was well designed to keep the case cool and had room for a hyper 212 evo CPU cooler to cool an FX 8350 and it never breaks 50C. (still running stock 4 ghz) even after extended periods of use. Also fit a GTX 970 with no problems and plenty of space.

Headphone and mic slots work. Only thing I cannot promise works is the firewire slot which I will never use. Everything else in the case was used and worked well. (short of a few hard drive cables and bays being unfilled)

Cons: Had an issue with the rebate not processing but it looks like they took care of it. Definitely was a huge + to have this fixed.

There was no actual issue with the case itself. Only problem that ever occurred was the usb 3.0 slots not working on the front after starting up the computer but after inspection of the cables discovered that this was an operator error. The 3.0 slots worked just like the rest of it once installed in the right location.

Other Thoughts: Does what you'd expect of it and paid for. I am quite satisfied and give it 5 eggs and my recommendation to any fellow computer builders I meet to check it out.
