5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed!

Pros: - Very sturdy construction
- SPACIOUS! (For a mid-tower especially)
- Very good cable routing options
- Thumbscrews
- Tooless hard drive bays
- Low key, yet elegant white LED fans.
- Solid stock airflow
- Very pleasing experience to build my partner a cheap-ish AMD build in.

Cons: - The documentation was a bit sparse compared with other cases I've bought.
- I don't think this came with motherboard screws (missing?) I'm pretty darn sure that I was missing at least one set of screws.

The screws that (may) have been motherboard screws didn't look like any mobo screws I've ever seen. I ended up just taking apart my partner's old rig and using those screws instead. Not a big deal because I have so many parts lying around anyway.

Other Thoughts: Besides the small thing with the mobo screws, this case is better than I could have imagined for $85, I'm impressed as always with Corsair's quality. The spaciousness of the interior of the case was a very pleasant surprise.

3 out of 5 eggsit's meh

Pros: It's a great case everything fits and cord management is good so is airflow.

Cons: The front fans will not work. I tried hooking them up like the instructions stated but they just will not run. I checked and rechecked the lines and it just won't work I tried clicking the on off button nothing. I tried forcing them onto a three pin connector and they do seem to work off of that but otherwise they won't run on their "correct" cables

5 out of 5 eggsBetter Than Expected

Pros: Great case for under $100. Haven't gotten all parts yet so I can't comment on the space yet. Will update in a few days. Came with a built in handle on top! Doubt that's its use though. Screw less design for the 5.25 bays is great for full size 5.25 drives. Not so good for a fan controller. Easy to pop those things off with a pocket knife or flathead screwdriver.

Oh! and the 8 fan mounts, anyone shouldn't have a problem with getting airflow and positive pressure at the same time.

Cons: Hard drive trays. These cheap plastic things feel so flimsy in my big hands. I'm sure they'll toughen up with a HDD in place.

Few threaded fan mounts. The 2 front fans have screw threads where it counts. The bottom intake, top exhaust, and side panel fan mounts are just holes. Had to grab nuts and washers for those.

Seems tricky to mount a full 5.25 device in the top slot due to the front panel wires right in the way. Didn't try, so I cannot tell for definite.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the price

Pros: -Sturdy, light frame
-Plenty of space to organize cables
-Drive bay trays are secure and easy to use

Cons: Even though the case generally has enough space, I ran into issues when mounting a Corsair liquid cooling system to the top of the case... became a tight squeeze for cables in that area of the Mobo. Same thing in the bottom by the PSU.

Other Thoughts: I was skeptical of the plastic drive bay trays at first, but they have definitely proven to be useful and convenient.

Overall, this seems to be a great case so far. Some people have complained about broken parts and USB slots on arrival, but that's the luck of anything you order these days.

5 out of 5 eggsA Well Thought Out Case

Pros: The built-in cable management system works very well. The extra space behind the motherboard mounting panel keeps your cables out of sight, and all the rubber gasket holes are well placed. The front mounted fans do glow a bright white, which could be annoying at times, but there is a front panel button to toggle the lights on and off. The majority of the case feels solid and well constructed. Plus, it looks pretty stylish, both inside and out. Also, the inside was quite spacious, and I had no problem installing some very large video cards.

Cons: The 3.5" drive bay trays felt like flimsy plastic. I should point out, however, that while installing hard drives in the bays and sliding them in and out of the dock repeatedly, the trays did not bend or warp, so I was wondering if their "flimsyness" was actually intentional to absorb shock and vibration.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is a wonderful case for a gaming rig and very easy to work with.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy, Big, Fantastic

Pros: The easiest case I have ever dealt with, I'm in love with this sexy beast! Got this case as a recommendation from a very very picky friend and so very happy I did. Changing and removing parts takes a few seconds and I was able to do it easily with one hand. The case itself is huge and the layout is fantastic, I couldn't be any happier with this thing. The built in fans actually do a great job so far (will be putting in others later on) and it has withstood an 80lb puppy a few times, unfortunately, without any damage to it or anything inside.

I absolutely love this case and after letting others see how easy it is handle and set up, they bought and love all over the corsair cases as well.

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Since I've bought this one I have handled a few other corsair cases and won't be going to any other brand.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Value Case...from Corsair.

Pros: Good solid practical Build
Decent Size Mid Tower, has 8 expansion slots. Great Value Case. you pretty much get what you pay for with the 400R. Decent Cable management options. Plenty of Room for a Longer Graphics card. Lots of Fan Mounts. 7 i counted.

Cons: Plastic Hard drive bays. I knew there was plastic before buying but I did not know how much. The Power supply screw mounts are slightly off. I was able to screw 4 but Not all the way. Using a AX760.

Other Thoughts: I would have liked to see a bit more time go into this case. There are some minor things that hold this case back from being the best Bang for buck case.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Love the case, plenty of room, easy to work on. Would love to give a 5 egg rating, but issues with the case design preclude this.

Cons: If used with MSI Z87-G55 motherboard or similar boards with USB 3.0 connector oriented parallel to the motherboard plane, the molded Corsair USB 3.0 cable has a hard interference with the case motherboard mounting depression. Great difficulty is experienced in connecting the cable to a mounted motherboard. It would be VERY easy to bend pins or break the header connector on the board. The only work around I could find is to order a USB 3.0 extension cable (not offered by Newegg to the best of my knowledge). The extension cable I ordered and installed has a non-molded end which allows bends clearing the case sheet metal. The molded Corsair cable connector end is too stiff to bend!

Other Thoughts: The case arrived with a dented side panel, which I attribute to minimal shipping package protection. Corsair immediately supplied a replacement panel, great job on their part. Unfortunately, they have not responded in any positive manner regarding this design issue where their case and their plug are not compatible with this series of motherboards. A motherboard with the USB 3.0 connector oriented perpendicular to the motherboard will have no issues with case/cable interference.
