Want even more outrageous cooling flexibility? Step up to the 500R. It adds a 200mm fan mounted on the side panel’s mesh screen for extra GPU cooling, a multi-channel fan controller, and removable and relocatable hard drive cages. The ability to move and remove hard drive cages not only improves airflow, it also allows you to install graphics cards of up to 452mm in length.

There’s room for eight PCI-E cards for multi-GPU set-ups, and even room for a full 240mm radiator for compatibility with the Hydro Series H100 Liquid CPU Cooler and modular watercooling systems. Superior airflow is a requirement for high-performance components that will be regularly pushed to their limits, so the 500R has ten fan-mounting points for cooling flexibility. Three 120mm fans (two in the front, and one in the rear) and one 200mm side fan are included, so you’re ready to start building right out of the box.

  • newegg Superior Cooling Performance Airflow is a breeze with the Carbide Series. Two front-panel intake fans, one rear exhaust fan, and one 200mm side fan are included, and there are a total of ten mounting points (four 120mm, six 120mm/140mm).
  • newegg Built for Builders High-performance gaming systems need lots of room to work with. With eight expansion slots and up to 452mm in length, and by removing one of the two hard drive cages (316mm if the cage in place), the Carbide 500R has room for triple-GPU installations for high end system set ups.
  • newegg Future-ready Support for USB 3.0 and 2.5" SSDs is built-in. Two USB 3.0 connectors are provided on the front panel and connect directly to motherboards with compatible USB 3.0 headers. Integrated SSD support lets you install 2.5" solid-state drives in any of the hard drive bays, without having to deal with adapters.
  • newegg Multi-channel Fan Controller The multi-channel fan controller allows you to control speed of the fans to regulate the internal temperature and noise level.
  • newegg Easy Access Thumb screws on the side panels, removable hard drive cages, tool-free drive installation and easy-access backplate cutout mean that you’ll spend less quality time with your screwdriver. The integrated dust filters can be quickly removed for easy maintenance.
  • newegg Looking good, Inside and Out. The beauty on the inside goes beyond the black-painted interior. Corsair’s innovative cable management system provides a straightforward way to route cables behind the motherboard, not across it where it can interfere with airflow and give your system a cluttered look. And since looks are an important part of any build, you’ll appreciate the ability to turn the front panel fan white LEDs on or off with the push of a button.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome cooling solution

Pros: Easy install into my Corsair 500R case, quiet, good instructions.

Cons: Not sure what to do with the Corsair Link port.

Other Thoughts: I'm now an instant fan of these sealed water coolers. It was super easy and quick to install in a case that was designed to accommodate it. I pity anyone trying to install this on a smaller case, though.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: -Tons of room for drives
-Widened side panels make room for cabling
-Fans and lights look cool
-Fans are quiet
-Overall an attractive case
-Love the top fan case panel so much

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from a Cooler Master RC-690-KKN1-GP and this case is far superior. Of course it costs $45 more as well, but I believe it was definitely worth it, especially for the fan bay at the top, where I installed a Corsair H100 water cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Case has plenty of room for my LGA 2011 motherboard and 240mm cooling system, with the fans mounted on the outside of the case, pulling instead of pushing. It has a lot of room for additional fans, which can be mounted almost anywhere. Front USB 3.0 ports came with a USB 2.0 adapter, which is good because my new motherboard does not include a USB 3.0 header, I do not have any USB 3.0 devices, and I have plenty of USB 3.0 Ports on the back of the board/box.

Cons: Motherboard screws were too small, just kept turning, had to use my own set, which worked fine. Front and Side Case Fans are all connected together via a manual fan controller and I do not see where it connects to the motherboard at all, which means that cooling is manual. There is only a Molex connector for power. I added 2x additional fans to the internal drive cage mounts, also bottom of case, and hooked these up to the motherboard. I'm hoping that the system will control the fans and turn them up when they need to be. I might be replacing the fans that came with the box and not use the built in fan button for manual adjustments.

5 out of 5 eggsVery well built

Pros: Having owned this case for over a year now, I figured I can post a review. This currently house a a intel setup, with 2 SSD's (was 4 at one point) 3 HDD, a ODD and a 1100w PSU, and an Antec H2O 620 cooler. It runs 24/7 and havn't had any issues with all the mess and clutter I have all around it. Will purchase another soon.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsCase shorted my mobo and everything with it

Pros: It looks nice

Cons: For whatever reason Corsair decided to pre install standoffs in the case. I didn't think much of it so I assembled everything and placing more standoffs where I needed it. I go to boot it up and I get nothing. After reading about this more I found that his has happened to other people also. I've built 20+ computers and none have had pre installed standoffs until this one. Corsair should've left it alone and let the customer put it in themself.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: -The extra space in the case doors make for plenty of room to manage cables.
-White LED's look great against the dark grey of the case.
-Plenty of room for drives and components.
-Front panel cables are plenty long. The HD Audio cable for instance, Can easily reach the far side of ATX sized motherboards.
-Fans are quiet, even when turned up to full speed.
-Front panel and fan wires were pressed together, very nice design feature, cuts down on messiness factor.

*Favorite Feature* The top fan cover. (see Other Thoughts)

Cons: Minor issues..
The thumb screws seemed to be improperly threaded. Were very difficult to tighten or untighten.
-The rubber grommets for cable management were so soft that they easily pulled off when routing cables through them.
-The rubber feet seemed to fall off rather easily as well.
-The PCI slots were not tool less, although the rest of the case is, HDD cages, Optical drive slots. Would've been nice to see everything tool less.

Other Thoughts: The fan bay on the top of the case is specifically designed for water cooling products. namely, any of the standard 27mm* thickness Radiators. They fit almost perfectly inside, and still allow for the top cover to be attached without taking away from the overall sleek design of the case itself. Some cases, my previous one for example, did not have the correct hole spacing to accommodate the Corsair H100 I recently purchased. (Read my review on the H100) I was concerned about having enough space to mount both the radiator and the fans together. But this case takes care of that by offering an amazing solution. I expect it would fit other radiators of standard thickness as well with little to no issues whatsoever.

3 out of 5 eggsLacks Quality. Over Priced.

Pros: It will accommodate plenty of hardware. Good cooling from fans. The interior is well designed and can be very easy to build in. Can add two more fans up top if necessary.

Cons: This thing feels cheap compared to other Corsair cases. I can't see this thing being worth more than $70. Seriously, It just doesn't scream 'quality' to me that Corsair is known for.

The black steal it refers to seems to be just flimsy aluminum siding that most cheaper cases come with. I was not impressed with this. You breath on the side panel wrong and it's going to get bent out of shape. Then you have a ugly gap to stare at when you put it back on.

The fan controller, like all of Corsair cases that come with one is garbage. So don't think it's going to last long if you like to constantly adjust the fan speeds with it. Because it won't.

The price is to high for such a cheaply made case that has a good number of problems in the quality dept.

Best suited for Micro ATX mobo's. Regular sized ones might give problems with SATA ports depending on the boards layout because of how the case is made. pffft.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case because my girlfriend said it's 'pretty' and she wanted it. She likes it, but in my mind it was in NO way worth $120. I was very shocked to see such shoddy quality from Corsair on this thing.

If feels cheaply made. Inside and out. But it works for her and that's what it really comes down to, I guess. I would never recommend this thing to any of my friends, that's for sure.

The amount of 'ITS AMAZING' reviews really baffles me. I have the 600T, now THAT is quality. This thing is a pile of flimsy aluminum with some plastic here and there that sports the 'Corsair' branding. You can get the same 'quality' from another brand for half the price.

I wouldn't be so harsh on this case if it didn't come from Corsair and it wasn't priced the way it currently is. It really surprised me. And not in a good way.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mid Tower Case Ever Made.

Pros: This was indefinably the best mid tower case I had ever built a rig into.

-The Steel this case is made out of is indistructable
- Very Spacious
-A LOT of space behind the motherboard tray, allows for the
-Best wire management
-Sturdy Rubber Graumets
-Phenomenal Black Powder Coat
-Rubber Feet for power supply
-Dual Bottom Dust Filter
-4 very quiet Corsair fans
-Removable HDD cage
-Great front I/O

All around great case, you'll love it right out of the box...
These other dumb reviewers who give this case 1 egg "because the instructions are horrible", I never even cared to look at the instructions, if you need to look at the instructions for a case, stop building computers.

Cons: The PSU screw holes on the back did not match with my TX 750, but 3 screws is enough...what do you expect to happen to your power supply, it's not like its in mid air, it's sitting on the bottom of the case...

NONE

Other Thoughts: THE BEST MID TOWER CASE

4 out of 5 eggsalmost perfect

Pros: Love the ventilation on this case, it keeps everything very cool. I like that you can turn down or up the three fans, though the computer seems to always stay cool no matter where it is set. I love that you can turn off the dang LED lights on the case fans.
I installed a Corsair H100i water cooler and it fit perfect!!! There is plenty of room for cable management and the hard drives and optical drive mounted very easy. I love the case. It is a big case and can easily fit dual GPUs if you want. I did not think I would care about the little tray on the top front, but that is nice for placing phone/cameras while data is transferred.

Cons: There are two problems with the case.
the first one is minor, and that is when i mounted my corsair power supply, the case has only three of the four holes line up to mount it. odd but it still worked.
Second and a bigger problem. The case has the mother board sit into a small well and this well is just deep enough that it blocks the bottom row on all the SATA ports. I was still able to plug in the optical drive and the two hard drives, but now there is no room for expansion for a third hard drive. It is very annoying to have a great mother board and the case blocks half of the SATA ports. BOOO Corsair! they could have easily made the well a little longer and then the SATA plugs could fit.
Also one of the case screws on the side panel was cross threaded when it was delivered and is a pain to work with when I have to take off or put on the side cover.
