Great gaming systems begin with a great case, and the Carbide Series 300R provides a remarkable number of in-demand features in an attractive, compact chassis. Builder-friendly features include three tool-free optical drive bays and four tool-free hard drive bays with integrated 2.5" SSD compatibility. There's room for high-end GPUs of up to 450mm in length, and the matte black interior incorporates Corsair's innovative cable routing system that helps keep wires and cables out of sight for a clean look and improved airflow. The 300R comes with intake and exhaust fans, with room for five additional fans including dual side-mounted fans for direct GPU cooling.

The Carbide Series 300R hits the mark for an affordable, enthusiast-quality compact PC case. Its innovative features will be appreciated by both seasoned system builders and PC gamers who are taking the leap and building their first system from scratch.

  • newegg Serious cooling potential The 300R is equipped with two fans for intake and exhaust, and the integrated dust filters on the front and bottom intakes are easy removable. There's room for you to install five more fans, including mounting points for two side panel 120mm fans for drawing cool air directly over your GPUs. If you're building a multi-GPU gaming rig, proper graphics ventilation is essential.
  • newegg It's big where it counts Despite its size, the 300R can fit extra-long graphics cards of up to 450mm length, and it has three optical drive bays and four hard drive bays. All the bays all tool-free, and the hard drive bays have integrated support for 2.5" drives, so you won't need to deal with adapters when installing SSDs
  • newegg Build quality The 300R has the smart features that matter. Just like the drive bays, the side panels are tool-free, so you'll spend less quality time with your screwdriver. The black painted interior has a CPU cutout for quick installing or upgrading of CPU heatsinks, and Corsair's innovative cable management system provides a straightforward way to route cables behind the motherboard, not across it where it can interfere with airflow and give your system a cluttered look.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, but the packaging bots need some help.

Pros: Great case overall - lots of ventilation options, cord management is top notch, and it looks great. So many places for fans, it's perfect as an enclosure to keep fingers out of stuff while allowing lots of cool air to flow. Front comes off easily to mount a second fan, and there's nothing in the way of air movement.

Cons: The one and only con is that the packaging only includes one extra standoff, when you need two to mount a Micro-ATX motherboard. They fixed it by sending out a parts pack at no charge, but it's an oversight that wastes time and money for both parties. I totally won't take an egg off for that since it's still a fantastic case.

Other Thoughts: The RMA process is overbearing and shouldn't be required for one tiny standoff. Not only that, but instead of sending out one standoff they sent an entire parts package - I'm not complaining about extra parts but it makes it feel like they're not caring about the product as much as they could. Still, I would totally buy another one of these cases (and a bunch of extra standoffs) since Corsair does make great stuff!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case for the price

Pros: I need a case for a new computer build. As I was using the newest processor and it had multiple usb heads, I wanted a case that had usb3 ports on it. This case a a nice side, not too heavy. Also the middle of the case had spacing between the drive bays that would accommodate an extra long video card.

Cons: I have nothing negative to say about the case. It was easy to put in components and easy to lay out my cabling.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: *Good price when it goes on sale.
*Good airflow
*Lots of fan mounts
*Plenty of room for several radiators
*Fine mesh dust filters on the front intake, and underside PSU intake.
*Plenty of room on the opposite side of motherboard for cable management
*Cables for front panel connectors are all sleeved black, makes for a sleek, consistent look
*Every inch of the interior of the case is powder coated black

Cons: *As far as I can tell, the HDD cage in to bottom of the case is riveted to the case.
*Because of the above con, it makes it necessary to use the provided machine threaded fan screws in order to mount a fan in the bottom half of the front.
*The side panel is really tricky to put back on, this isn't a case that you want to be constantly opening up and closing.
*My case only came with a single motherboard standoff, I don't know if this is how they are shipped of if this is a QA thing...
*I don't know if there is a way to remove and clean the filters on the side of the case on the front panel.

Other Thoughts: The case comes with enough machine screws to mount one more fan, for a case with room for 7 fans, it makes sense to include more screws. They do however include traditional fan screws but just 2 sets of those.
The design of the case looks pretty good, but compared to the obsidian series cases, it is subpar.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of air flow

Pros: This is a great case! It's well built, has nice cable management, and has many places to mounts fans (120mm & 140mm).

Cons: Could have included a magnetic filter for the side intakes, but I knew it wasn't included before hand.

Other Thoughts: I'm a big fan of Corsair cases, and this didn't let me down. It's probably not the flashiest case out there, but it does what I bought it for well (airflow).

1 out of 5 eggsPretty Dissappointed..

Pros: The case would have been very nice.

Cons: The mounting pegs on the front panel were all mostly broke off. The front panel of the case will not stay on at all. I also only received one standoff for motherboard mounting.

Other Thoughts: I think I got a returned case, because of the missing standoffs. Very disappointing!

3 out of 5 eggsDecent case

Pros: - Nice sleek design
- Decent cable management
- Easy to setup
- Overall nice hardware placement and space

Cons: - Hard to plug L-shaped sata or power cable to 2.5"HDD/SDD, the case's mount tray is in the way
- Window panel quality is ok, squeeky
- Basic side panel slots
- Rear fan slot only 120mm
- Power LED light stopped working after 2 days (button still works fine though)
- Not for sound proof

Other Thoughts: Decent case for the price, there are better ones out there for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: This case has been wonderful for me. Like the black all around internals and external finishing. Great amount of room and open area for flow.

Cons: Sadly the hard drive caddies had alot of trouble getting in and out with standard 3.5" drives. I have moved to SSD's entirely so it is not too big of a deal.

Other Thoughts: Excellent case for anyone, it is solid and offers great airflow.
