4 out of 5 eggsVery Usable with Options

Pros: Expandable, this case has mounting for fans everywhere.

300R has all the features we have become so used to. Removable drive bays, space for thick non-ribbon PSU cables, mounting room for hydros.

Good case, great price, white power LED looks slick.

Cons: Light weight, front panel wiring feels cheap, lots of holes for fans can make case loud if many cooling options are used.

Other Thoughts: Nice case.

Easy on the wallet.

Sweet style.

Many options.

I am happy with my choice, though for my main computer I would choose something with a bit more refinement.

4 out of 5 eggsMinimalist but not functionless

Pros: Excellent case for the value. All black interior, good quality feet, stylish design, great airflow and cooling arrangements for the most part. Can mount six 140mm fans (+ one 120mm exhaust) that'll move a ton of air without a ton of noise. Ample room inside the case to work on installing parts, even with large graphics cards and CPU coolers. Plenty of space to run cables behind the motherboard for a tidy appearance. Tool-less drive assembly feels very solid - can't say the same for comparable offerings from Antec or Cooler Master. Build quality seems good, the plastic front bezel has a texturing effect that makes it look like brushed aluminum, which is neat I suppose.

Cons: The front intake fans' main filter is permanently attached to the front plastic bezel. To clean it, you need to remove the bezel, then painstakingly pop the metal mesh screen out by bending these little tabs 90 degrees until they slide out of their brackets. What moron designed it this way? The little side filters on either side of the front bezel just slide right out. DEMCIflex makes magnetic filters that stick onto the outside of the case and they have a set specifically for this 300R, do yourself a favor and get some. As other reviewers have indicated, if you install a 140mm fan in both of the top positions, you may not be able to install an optical drive in the top 5.25" bay. I don't know who actually needs more than one optical drive in this day and age, but some people like to keep them in the top and if yours isn't a very short one it'll need to be moved down to the middle or bottom bay. Cable routing slots aren't grommeted. Blindingly bright white LED behind the power button.

Other Thoughts: This is a great case that has a few minor problems which could be overlooked by many builders. Corsair sells a grommet kit for the 350D that will also fit this case perfectly, go spend a few extra bucks and make your cable management look nice.

It's not as nice or well-equipped as the Vengeance C70, but it is significantly smaller without being overly cramped when you're installing parts or doing upgrades, which can be very nice in its own right. If size isn't a factor, however, I would compare this 300R to the C70 carefully and see if the price difference is something you can stomach.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case With Great Ventilation

Pros: This case has been great for my build. I bought a major brand PC on sale then moved most components to the new case. The case has great ventilation and is very quiet, I have 4 - 140mm fans top and front and run them at 40%. It has plenty of room for hard drives and SSD's. The blue LED fans show through the mesh and looks great.

Cons: As one reviewer stated, if you mount a 140mm fan in the top front location, you can't mount a standard optical drive in the top slot. I just put the optical drive in the second slot and installed the much shorter fan controller in the top slot.
The other issue I had was that the USB3 slot in front would not work. Sent a ticket to Corsair and they quickly sent a new front panel. The USB3 still would not work. I called Corsair and upon my request they agreed to send a USB3 to USB2 adapter and now the front USB ports work, but as USB2. That's OK because I don't have any USB3 devices and if I do get one, the back USB3 ports work fine. I am not taking any eggs away because I believe that it may be a problem with the MoBo not the case. Although the USB3 worked on the other PC, its USB3 header cable was 16" long and the USB3 cable on the Corsair is 27" long. One of Intel's docs states that the USB3 header cable should not exceed 18". No other reviews seem to describe this issue.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is an excellent case. I would like to have rubber grommets, but if that is really important I could have just bought a more expensive case. I am not a gamer and don't use a lot of mega-watt components, so this case exceeds my expectations. I am very happy with the service I got from Corsair.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case with no frills

Pros: Very good build quality
Spacious
Room for many fans

Cons: No frills- no rubber grommets on cable management, no sound deadening or fan/LED control
Could use a bit more room behind mobo for cable management

Other Thoughts: Very well built, lots of room, very good layout. Surprisingly light too.

At $50 bucks, I can't recommend it enough. Just be aware it has just about no frills, as mentioned in cons. It comes with 2 fans and filters for front/bottom fan spots, but allows space for a whole bunch more fans or a top mounted 240mm radiator.

2 out of 5 eggsGet a vengeance c70

Pros: You get fans and a front filter.

Cons: The side panels don't fit right and there is not enough room for upper Liquid cooling fans without hitting the ram. Get a vengeance c70. I owned this case since the i5 3570k came out and just got a c70 and it's way worth the extra $. If your a gamer don't get this case.

4 out of 5 eggsneat case

Pros: need more room for those graphics cards? hard drives getting in the way? this is the case for that.

i really like the two vents on the side because they were placed right in that sweet spot so in case you have crossfire or SLI, you have the option to put two fans on the side and cool those cards.

the hard drives are also switched sideways so you can swap out drives a little easier

has two usb three ports on the front, and dust filters under power supply area and front

Cons: the hard drives install only one way which means the ports are always going to be on the other side of the case.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair 300R Review - Excellent case by Corsair!

Pros: Case offers a solid foundation to build a system. I love the solid construction provided, along with great cable management options. Plenty of room for a full-sized ATX motherboard and video card. Excellent air flow with many options for fans, along with a lot of expansion space for many drives or multiple video cards.

Cons: No dust covers for top or front. Although at this price point it doesn't surprise me that there are no dust covers in these areas, it would have been nice to seem them added. This case is VERY well ventilated, which translates to a lot of dust getting pulled into the case.

Other Thoughts: I've completed many builds in Corsair cases over the years and they never seem to let me down, although some are better than others. For under $60, I think this is a great case. Many will appreciate the simplistic design, solid construction, and great air flow.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb case for it's price!

Pros: -Inexpensive
-Plenty of room for even the biggest of graphics cards and aftermarket CPU coolers
-Multiple places to mount fans, and it's very well ventilated; heat has not been an issue at all, even with just two case fans installed.
-Removable dust filters in all the right places!

Cons: -The cut out space for cable management could be a tad bit deeper.
-Although you can use water cooling with this case, you may want to consider a different case if you plan on water cooling.

Other Thoughts: This is a great case, if you're looking for something that is inexpensive yet still really well built.
