5 out of 5 eggs900d

Pros: Lots of space, wide case also beautiful large side window!
Great air flow!!

Cons: The io, we're video cards stii, that aluminum to week, it bends! !! I'm running 3 gigabyte 980s gtx and I'm noticing some sagging on the video cards!

Other Thoughts: That whole are on the back were video card screw in should be all steel , I'm I can literally bend with my hand . Other than that, great PC case!

5 out of 5 eggslast case I'll ever need.

Pros: This thing IS the beast. The single largest and best looking case that money can buy. It's big, perhaps unnecessarily so for many, and heavy to boot. You have a lot to work with inside, though. It can fit practically any variety of system inside and still give you the room to stuff your cat inside while still providing good air flow.

Cons: Mine has a tendency to resist pulling off the windowed case panel, and my fingers cry out in painful pleasure every time.

Other Thoughts: This is a kind of case that you pick as the first component and then TRY to do it justice with the machine that gets housed inside. Suitable for nothing short of extreme, massive, powerful builds. Do yourself a favor and snag this if you're looking to build a real monster. Nothing else will suffice.

5 out of 5 eggsBIG

Pros: HUUUUUUUGE .... This thing is the size of most compact sedans.. I think my landlord mistook it as the garage for his smart car. Seriously this thing can fit any Motherboard, that at least I can think of, the corsair H110 looks tiny inside it, I'm thinking of grabbing the Radiator of a 67 Trans Am to shove in there, it'd probably fit (no not really ...) cabling is a dream, there's a large (I didn't measure) space between the motherboard tray and the outside wall that allows for basically any cabling needs, the front mounted drive cages are movable, but the manual isn't overly descriptive about that, but it's basically common sense, oh look, a screw, I think I need to remove that. one thing that I did have issues with was my fan controller. I have the AeroCool Touch 2100, and in this particular case, there are small plastic "guides" on the bezel which I guess are there to ensure alignment and to "support" the 5 1/4" drives, but they get in the way of my fan controller, and needed to be "removed" and I'm not a fan of yanking out the hacksaw so to speak. That doesn't effect my opinion of the case, it's simply something that MIGHT effect some people.

Cons: Not so much a con as a be aware of. Like I said before, the case is gigantic in every way you can think, so Power Supplies with shorter cables, or shorter SATA cables need not apply here, just make sure your cables are long enough, especially the top most 5 1/4" and the location of your 4 or 8 pin CPU header, though Corsair does include an extension for that.

Weight, it's a heavy case, VERY heavy, but that's expected at this size.

Other Thoughts: Excellent case, if space isn't an issue.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Flimsy Parts

Pros: When I initially received this case, I said "wow, will that fit under my desk?". Beautiful packaging, would assume that nothing would get scratched/bent/broken during shipping. It's very big, big enough to accommodate an X99 E-ATX board and still have about 5 inches to the drive cages. Plenty of fan & radiator options so this case is awesome for those that plan on using a liquid-cooling setup, and it will fit a standard thickness radiator in push/pull on the top with no problem. Plenty of cable routing holes and lips on the back of the motherboard tray, bulky/crossing cables don't even stress this case.

Cons: The Q/C on these cases should be better, I got mine with one of the three HDD bays warped, as a result the cages won't stay in place and lock into place all of the way; in addition I managed to break one of the cage's tiny metal pegs by sliding a HDD over it, the hinge on the door also fell out while it was sitting upside down on top the case, takes 3 seconds to fix, but come on. Bottom bay doors are flimsy with weak magnets, mine were bent and the window side have a hard time staying closed. Only four optical bays, but who uses them anymore?

Other Thoughts: I bought this case as my end-all of cases, starting with my X99 build featuring the latest components and a custom liquid-cooling loop. I only knocked off one Egg for the manufacturing defects, it's still a pretty good case and will rock out right alongside my 550D.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plenty of space.
Plenty of storage for HDDs/SSDs.
Huge amounts of radiator room.
Water-cooling capacity is almost unlimited.
Plenty of ways to hide cables.
Quality parts.

Cons: Doesn't come with a mid-plate, which would be really nice.
This is not a case for air-cooling.

Other Thoughts: This case is huge. Knowing the measurements doesn't do justice until you actually see it in person. This is definitely an eye popper when people walk in my room and see this massive thing sitting on my desk. If you are planning on just doing an air-cooling setup, this case isn't for you. This is for the custom loop builders who want a lot of room to put their parts.

1 out of 5 eggspoor quality

Pros: super spacious

Cons: poorly manufactured. the back panel door uses snap in pins that ripped of the metal bar of the rear panel door and bent an internal bar holding the snap in receptacles.
bottom door hinges are flimsy and bend too easily.... after opening and closing the bottom doors, the magnets no longer hold them very well.
finally, the power button does not work at all. great...

Other Thoughts: Manufacturer,
why do you skimp on quality manufacturing? now I will stay away from all corsair product going forward since it's apparent to me that you are cutting corners to cut costs and as a result product quality is suffering. disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a great case

Pros: This case is just fantastic. Plenty of room, an inch of space behind the motherboard tray. The case itself is very sleek and professional. There is so much room to literally do whatever you want, whether it be stack up fans, mount radiators, or install a kitchen sink.

The hard drive bays are all removable and switchable. One thing I like is the stock fans that come i the front of the case are GREAT. They push a lot of air given the small amount of area they have to pull it from.

This is THE ultimate case for any enthusiast or power user.

Cons: The hard drive holders are pretty flimsy, but they work. I guess it costs a lot, but you get what you pay for.

1 out of 5 eggsFLIMSY. Poor packaging

Pros: Im sure its a great case, but after I discovered all the broken and damaged parts I put it back in its box since i know i wont be able to build my system until this is replaced.

Cons: As soon as I opened up the box I noticed things weren't right. The front cover you snap off to gain access to the 3 120mm fans in front was off and tilted up against the inside of the box and the plastic fan cover was pushed in past the point of design, I noticed one of the 4 pegs was broken off on the metal front cover so the bottom corner could be pushed in since it isnt supported by the peg.

All the drive trays have the flimsiest plastic rods known to man holding the front cover on. Of course they were ALL broken or missing as soon as i opened it up.

The metal bar separating the "basement" from the main cavity where the motherboard goes had been twisted or damaged (from shipping?) to the point of visible fatigue on the metal where it connects to the back of the frame.

The basement door on the side with the clear window was already broken off. Two tabs on the bottom connect to two pegs allowing it to swivel open. Both tabs are bent inwards so they dont even line up with the pegs. Could bend them back but the damage has been done. metal gets weaker when its bent so bending them back introduces more metal fatigue and shortens its life.

Other Thoughts: The packaging is horrible. The case is full of flimsy plastic parts, Im sure almost all of this could have been prevented had it been packaged better. Now Ill have to wait who knows how long to put my x99 system together. Ive waited a year to put this together, apparently my wait isnt over.

Im a big fan of corsair, Ive bought 12 of their fans, a Dominator platinum DDR4 kit, the Commander Mini, several corsair SSDs and the 900D was by far the biggest let down. I cant even start the build yet.

Ive had my 800D for several years now and it hasnt failed me once. Somewhere along the line cuts were made, sacrifices were put in place. I cannot believe the packaging is so poor knowing the nature of the frail pieces they put in this case and the way packages are handled by shipping companies.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
