Small in size but big in capability, the Corsair Obsidian 350D case is designed to build a high performance system in a Micro ATX form factor. Oriented for Micro ATX and Mini ITX platforms, the Obsidian 350D's ample interior accommodates dual ODDs, dual hard drives, dual SSDs, dual full-length graphics cards, and a water cooling radiator. Cable management, and tool-free access and drive installation, make the build a more enjoyable experience. Complete with clean design aesthetics accented by a brushed aluminum front panel, the Corsair Obsidian 350D is a great look for any room, whether it is on or off!

  • newegg Compact Size The 350D is smaller than mid-tower cases, so it’s at home on a desktop or tucked away out of sight. The smaller dimensions make it great for building systems for traveling, too.
  • newegg Superior Expandability With the 350D, Micro ATX cases are no longer just for building basic systems. There’s room for a full-size liquid CPU cooler and two dual-length radiators, while the five PCI-E slots allow you to install dual full-length graphics cards without using up all your slots. And with two 3.5-inch hard drive bays, and two dedicated 2.5-inch bays for solid-state drives, storage expansion isn’t a problem.
  • newegg Flexible Cooling Options The 350D comes with a 140mm intake fan and a 120mm exhaust fan, and there are mounts for five total. The front and top mounts are spaced for 240mm radiators for more cooling options.
  • newegg Fast, Neat, and Smart The 350D is designed for fast and neat builds, with features like tool-free access and drive installation, and an innovative cable routing system.
  • newegg Convenient I/O Panel A front panel USB 3.0 connector and audio I/O make 350D-based systems easy to use.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair Obsidian 350D

Pros: Beautiful looking case. Plenty, PLENTY of room for routing cables and making everything inside look super neat.

Cons: No external 3.5" bays for memory card readers, but I knew this going in.

Other Thoughts: Built this for a customer, so I have no opinions on actually using it, but I was jealous.

3 out of 5 eggsNice case, but minor flaw

Pros: The case is very sleek and nice looking. The cable management (routing behind the panel the system board sits on) does a decent job of keeping things tidy inside.

Cons: After 4 months, the audio jack in the front panel has started to fail. When I have my headphones plugged in the sound will randomly cut between headphones and speakers. I installed the latest Realtek audio driver suite for the motherboard. While that didn't fix the problem, it confirmed the issue for me by notifying me every time I supposedly unplugged and replugged the headphones. It occurs even when the headphones are sitting on top of the PC and no cords are being jostled, and occurs with multiple headphones/earbuds.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're sorry to hear that the audio jacks in the front I/O panel is causing you troubles. If you would like a replacement front I/O panel, feel free to contact us by submitting a ticket at corsair.force.com or calling us directly at 888-222-4346 and we'll be more than happy to assist you.

Thank you,

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a very nice case that made it easy to build my PC without too much trouble, especially for cable management.

Cons: The front cover that covers the front USB/audio inputs and the power button has flimsy latches to lock it into place, so one of them broke off when I put the DVD drive into my PC. I didn't notice this right away, so I thought I had messed up the build when the power button didn't work. It was just that latch being broken so that it didn't sit right in there. Tried to RMA this issue to hopefully get a new cover, but their website refuses to progress past the first step to submit a ticket.

4 out of 5 eggsThe not ...quite... Obsidian

Pros: 1. Sturdy.
2. Stylish.
3. Smaller for those who prefer more petite builds.
4. Fan filters for the front case fan and PSU.
5. Excellent cable routing, with plenty of tie down points and rubber lined cable routing holes.
6. Slightly positive pressure (the intake fan brings more air in than the rear pushes out) and this helps with dust build-up.
7. Room for large AIO coolers at the top of the case.
8. 2.5" drive specific mounting brackets.
9. Anti-vibration mount sliding drive trays for 3.5" HDDs.
10. All PCI slot covers are vented and removable; none are break away. All are using thumb screws.
11. White power and HDD LEDs on the front are not too bright and classy.
12. USB 3.0 ports at the front of the case.

Cons: Price for what you get is not...quite...up to Obsidian standards or the Obsidian branding.

1. No fan filters for the top of the case, so you will need to get creative with that. Those with AIO water coolers will NEED to do this since you don't want your radiator clogging with dust too quickly. This is the biggest detractor from the case.
2. Fans supplied are strictly three pin non PWM affairs.
3. Drive mounting trays are somewhat flimsy and need to be treated with extra care.
4. The only aluminum present is the magnetic-release front cover which covers up the front fan filter. Rest is steel and plastic. Again, this is not really up to the Obsidian name branding.

Other Thoughts: To be clear, this is a very nice case and I am happy with it. Hence the four eggs. I am just a bit disappointed Corsair decided to brand it with the Obsidian name where you expect them to throw everything including the kitchen sink. With this case you really get no extras, and quite frankly for the price you are getting the level of quality present in the lower tier Graphite series and Carbide series.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case, but it's anything but 'mini'

Pros: Very nice, clean, sleek look. 2 front USB 3.0 ports, loads of room for various water cooled solutions, sweet screwless drive trays! Nice fans that come with the unit. Lots of thumb screws, more than ample room to execute a nice cabling job.

Cons: The power button feels flimsy. The optical drive in the external 5.25" bay is slightly recessed. Personally I'd much prefer that it was flush with the face of the case to give it more of a finished look.

Other Thoughts: Corsair dubs this case as a "mini microATX'. In fact, the description on NewEgg's page reads "The 350D is smaller than mid-tower cases, so it’s at home on a desktop or tucked away out of sight." That just simply isn't true. Despite not supporting a full ATX case, this case is pretty much the same size as any ATX case I've ever used. It works great, but the claims of its size are simply untrue, and that's bad form. Also, I slapped a Corsair H110 in this to cool my 3770k, which fit wonderfully, but after doing so, I could no longer use a 120mm closed loop solution where the 120mm rear exhaust fan would go because there isn't enough clearance above it for the 120mm radiator. That was disappointing because I'd like to have water cooled my GPU, but I suppose I should be happy to get a monster like the H110 to fit in a "mini microATX case" such as this ;) Overall, this is really a great case. I'm only sorry that I didn't pony up the extra $10 for the windowed case. One last thing...you can't fit an H105 in this thing, but the H100 and H110 fit just fine for me.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive Nice Looking

Cons: Poor fit and Finish

Other Thoughts: Bought it when Newegg had the $10 rebate sent it in to Corsair and of course it was denied go think , spent a lot of money on Corsair products just lately the 350D, a AX760i , H100i ,and new fans but they can't pony up the lousy $10 rebate next time it's Fractal Design better quality

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, Great Design, Great cabling options and routing

Cons: poor build quality, Cheap.

Other Thoughts: I've recieved two of these in a row with scratched paneling and interior's from the factory, the paint is so thin or so poor in mfg that it really shows,

Scratches on chasis by feet base on two cases in a row... what more can I say?

I am losing $ on rma return shipping and not recieving products in any better condition.

A Corsair rep has ackowledged this flaw and I hope corsair starts using better quality finishing on their new products,

the 650d I owned last year had very durable paint and was flawless from the factory

the newer models have cheaper / thinner paint and it really shows.

4 out of 5 eggsOkay Case

Pros: This is a nice looking case. There are many cutouts for you to route your wiring to achieve a clean look inside the case. The front fan is nice with room a add another; there is also a air filter for the front intake fan. The bottom mounted power supply intake has a easy to remove air filter as well. The case has a nice weight to it and the side panels are sufficiently rigid.

Cons: If you plan to install a SSD and optical drive and then run them off one line (one of those power lines with two sata power connectors on it) then you might find that it is a tight squeeze to plug both of them in depending on the length of your line. it is too tight for comfort for me with the CX430 powersupply so I am planning to get either a sata extension or a molex to sata adapter.

Other Thoughts: Nice overall case. Clean looking lines make this case aesthetically pleasing to look at.

3 out of 5 eggsarrived damaged

Pros: nice design
well made and sturdy
silent (but fans move little air???)
like the brushed aluminum front

Cons: upon opening box, front aluminum panel was unattached from case, the tape corsair puts on to hold it down is way to inadequate
so one of the clips is broken to hold the front panel on....(just like another review here!!!!)

Other Thoughts: come on corsair
you make a nice case then you don't tape up the front panel (good enough) the panel moves around in shipping and scuffs up the front of the case = not good

maybe its the shoddy shipping company you use ONTRAC... don't get me started on them!

Pros: This case is just as sleek and cool looking in real life as it is in pictures. I had no problems with installing all the components in it.

Cons: none
