4 out of 5 eggsSpacious!

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: Lovely large case. PLENTY of room. Nice separation of the PSU to the Motherboard. Great airflow, comes with plenty of case fans.

Cons: My case didn't come with mesh screens/dust covers.

Other Thoughts: A little larger than I expected. Anyways, I am happy with my purchase and if you need a large case with plenty of space, this is the winner.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case I've owned or built in.

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: Airflow from the stock af140 fans are immaculate especially since the design of the case offers a separation of the mobo , gpu etc. from the airflow impeding parts found in your typical tower.

Cons: More ssd cages!!!

Other Thoughts: This isn't the first 540 I have purchased and/or built in. I have built three x99 systems in these cases for a friends internet cafe and they are fantastic. With just stock fans and H100i aio coolers, temps never reach 35c even in a moderately heated environment.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Impressed

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: Black

Cons: I have a p.hd in Physics so believe me when i tell you this case has poor airflow. i have seen bricks with better airflow than this case. You're better off mounting everything in a cardboard box with no fans than using this case. this case also represses the carbohydrates which causes extreme heat.

Other Thoughts: its an okay case overall

4 out of 5 eggsWow!

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: Huge!.. In a good way! Gives lots of room for all the main components.

Keeps all the heat producing parts separated from the non heat producing stuff. Motherboard, CPU, GPU, HDD Etc in the front as the SSD and disk drive in the back. PSU as well but it has its own fan to keep its self cool.

HUGE side window. I added some white LED's around the window and it makes for a very beautiful looking inside as long as its kept dust free.

Amazing cable managemnt! All the cables are kept in the back and only needed ones poke through one of many rubber grommited holes.

The watercooling options in this case is unbelievable. A double 120mm or 140mm on the top, a triple 120mm or 140mm on the front, a single 140mm on the back, the options literally never end.

Amazing airflow and comes with its own amazing fans. the fans at low RPM are super quite and at higher RPM are loud but they don't make a annoying noise just the sound of wind moving quickly.

Cons: The only thing i am not a big fan of on this case is the fact it only has 2 3.5" HDD mounts. There are times where i would much prefer one or two more. And its a big enough issue for me that i docked an egg for it. I like to keep everything separated between hard drives. An example is i have 1 1tb for my storage and a 500gb for a Hackintosh installation and a 120gb ssd in the back for windows. Now that the 1tb HDD is filling up i don't have room for another 3.5" HDD so i'm now going to have to find a way around this.

Other Thoughts: Besides the case only having 2 3.5" mount this case is perfect! Has amazing air flow, CRAZY amount of water cooling mounts and lots and lots of room. And will all the cables in the back it's very easy to make the inside looks amazing.

5 out of 5 eggsIts a Keeper

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: Plenty of space. I like the matte black plastic finish, it does not leave finger prints. Doesn't look as dorky as other cases do in person. All Black is nice. It fits a H110, as long as the hoses are mounted towards the front, which looks sleek in my opinion. I switched to this case from a Corsair 550D. Wiring is really easy to get a clean looking case. Air movement is much better now, and temps dropped. Dust is not an issue in this case with "logical" fan layout. I have five 140mm fans running at full speed (3 stock, 2 Quiet Ed) and it is pretty quiet in my opinion. Just as quiet at my old 550D, but with much better cooling. With my bios i can get it pretty close to a whisper.

Cons: I get some vibration noise from the two HDD hot swaps. I wish the front fit three 140mm fans. I intended to use different fans, but after using the stock 140mm fans for a while they are not that bad. I notice an rpm flutter when I tweak them in my bois, which I don't get from the Corsair 140 Quiet Editions I have on my H110. They sometimes show a zero rpm reading, where the others run pretty dead on. I feel cases should just stop including fans. I do not like the SSD holder, but it does work as intended. I just feel they could do something to increase the storage capacity in the PSU compartment. The hot swap cables under the PSU are a bit of a missed detail, but it all works. I don't like how the SSD and 5" bays are too far apart for me to use a single power cable. I think this could all become one piece in the next go-a-round. They could make the case a smig thinner if they wanted to. Why do they not include a cover for the opening at the bottom? Maybe ventilation? Wish they included an optional cover for that one, or at least made it smaller holes to not show so much of the PSU compartment.

Other Thoughts: You will need an extension cable for your audio cable if you have an MSI Z77 Mpower board. The front panel cable included is a bit too short if you have to reach the far left corner of the board. The Bitfenix Alchemy Cables worked great for me.

I switched to all SSDs and got rid of the vibration issue.

Check the dimensions, its a bit blocky, but nice to look at.

I do highly recommend this case even though I have some small issues with it. I think the all black version is much better looking than the other colors. Very sleek looking.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case!

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: The case is huge, it was able to fit my old video card in it which was 11 1/4 inches long with no problem. Awesome cable management and airflow capabilities! I have had NO space problems like ive had with other cases. Bottom mounting HDD with built in Sata connectors for very easy installation. Bottom mounted PSU with SDD mounts directly above which saves space also. 5.25 drives are vertical (I dont prefer it, but i guess it hasnt really bothered me) so it saves space and everything that needs power is right next to each other, easy to plug everything in and lots of areas to string cables through to anywhere you need without creating clutter or a spiderweb of cables! All around amazing case!

Cons: Again the only con is the vertical 5.25 drive bays. But thats just preference for me but i havent really noticed them as i dont use them that often.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: Everything works great. The access doors are easily removed and put back in place. Nothing was chipped, stripped, or damaged upon arrival, although the box had slight damage.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Knowing this is not a standard size case and will not fit in a standard box store press board desk is important.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: This case has amazing airflow and helps keep my GPU and CPU very cool. It also makes cable management almost too easy--it feels like cheating. I feel like every aspect of this case as extensively thought out to make the most install-friendly, feature-rich case and it just plain looks amazing (especially the internals after install; there's barely any wires visible!)

It has two HD "trays" on the bottom that you can literally plug and play hard drives with. As in, there are ports built into the case. I was not expecting this, and thought it was brilliant.

I love this case and look forward to using it for as long as time permits.

Cons: bigger than I expected, but I'm not complaining

4 out of 5 eggsNice case, needs better packaging.

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 (CC-9011030-WW) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Cube High Airflow Cube Case

Pros: Great cable management, plenty of space to work in, nice airflow.

Cons: Only one front usb port worked at first, it no longer does.

Audio ports in the front dont work, back audio ports went out within a week. Mobo worked fine in the old case. So I think it's the case cables, but have no way to test it.

One of the clips to hold the front panel broke in shipping, ssd cage was rattling around in the main side of the case, side window kinda scuffed up and cant be cleaned.
