4 out of 5 eggsCorsair Graphite Series 230T Black

Pros: Feels pretty sturdy, all black in and out. Comes with three, three pin fans. Can hold huge graphic cards. PSU filter. Front intake has mesh for dust. Nice cut outs for CPU cooler / cable management. I have 5 fans and a CPU cooler stays whisper quite. Slightly raised rubber feet for airflow. Looks nice with the lights off the front leds make a red cyclone design.

Cons: Could have taller feet. Front mesh is not removable have to take the face off and clean it. I'd like to see more dust filter, but at this price cant have it all. Didn't put itself together..

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I'm a first time builder and I love this case. Good air flow with the included fans the LED fans on the front have a nice subtle but cool look. Lots of room for modding, possibly water cooling. Just an overall great case for the price.

Cons: Wish it came with rubber grommets for a little better cable management but no need to dock an egg, just personal preference.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This case looks great. The lights on the front make a cool vortex shape, and the color is a nice solid black. USB ports work fine. Good placement of the 2.5" drive bays. Plenty of space, 3 good fans.

Cons: Didn't come with much, the manual is nothing more than a single piece of paper showing the screw count and a basic diagram of the case. No extra bells and whistles like my CM Storm Enforcer came with. Also, no window, so if you want to see the inside of your fancy new build, look elsewhere, or buy a clear panel for this case.

Other Thoughts: Picked this up for my hackintosh, and it works great. Not much else to say, other than it's a solid case worth the $$.

5 out of 5 eggsLooked great until I put the HDD in...

Pros: Great cable management.

The center mounting bolt has a stud on it! This was a great help in getting the motherboard lined up and held in place while securing it to the rest of the mounts.

Front panel buttons, lights, and ports are not attached directly so the front panel can actually be removed without yanking out all those connections. Great for installing or swapping out drives in the 5.25 inch bays, which I always forget to do until the end of the build.

Nice looking case all around.

Cons: Newbies may short out their boards because ALL of the mounting bolts are pre-installed. Most motherboards will not use all of the installed mount bolts, make sure to take out the bolts your board doesn't need.

Do a test insert and check for extra bolts. If your motherboard covers a bolt and there isn't a matching hole in your motherboard then the bolt needs to come out.

This shouldn't need to be said but I've seen it done so, DO NOT drill holes in your motherboard! You may need a small socket driver to remove the mounting bolts, but they do come out.

Other Thoughts: The HDD cage... I had a rant typed up in the Cons section about how drives don't fit in it properly, then I thought to turn the drive around. Apparently they've decided to turn the HDDs around so the connections face the motherboard side of the case.
The choice to do this makes sense as it makes better use of the cable management space. However, it was confusing at first and will require both sides of the case to come off when adding or removing HDDs.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Great solid case, nothing fancy, the Red LED fans in the front where a nice touch.

Cons: To small to install a Corsair H90 liquid cooling system. Ended up having to put the fan on the outside of the case, not that attractive but it works. The built in fans had pretty short power cables, made it unable to route the cables behind the MOBO

4 out of 5 eggsCorsair 230T

Pros: I used this case for building my first gaming rig and and I did not make a mistake choosing this very attractive looking and yet very functional.

Cons: Would have been nice if the case was raised a little more for better air intake in the bottom for PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet and Simple

Pros: Price - After rebate, this cost just $39.99!!!

Looks - Nice simple, understated looks. Driven to build my son a gaming PC's because we both thought gaming desktops like Alienware are so tacky and ugly. The 230T is a nice looking mid-tower that looks fine for an adult, even with the LEDs on the front fans that we could do without.

Interior design: Clean, open design. E.g., no HDD cage behind top fan on front grille. Who needs so many HDD's anyway. Allows for better airflow.

Easy open side panels.

Easy tool free drive bays.

Easy cable management: Plenty of room for cables. behind mother board.

Front USB 3.0 ports that connect directly to Motherboard. Be careful of models that are "pass through" and only connect to rear ports.

Everything works! Once loaded with components, very solid feel and quite stable on its rubber feel.

Cons: Small feet: Would have like taller feet for more room for airflow into PSU (intake fan is on bottom). However, inside the case the PSU sits on small bumps that provide more clearance and airflow so probably fine.

Rebate: As complex as filling out taxes. If you do something wrong you lose out. And takes 8-10 weeks after submitting to get a response. And you need to give up your option to return to retailer to submit the rebate (you cut UPC label off box). But this was a good deal even without the rebate. 3 months from now the $20 will be a nice surprise.

Other Thoughts: First timer, and my build in this was a breeze. Here is the build:
Corsair Graphite Series 230T Case,
CORSAIR RM750 Power Supply,
ASUS Z87-PRO Motherboard,
Intel Core i7-4771 Processor,
Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 32GB (4 x 8GB) Memory,
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card (Superclocked, ACX Cooler, 03G-P4-2784-KR),
Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB Solid State Drive,
Windows 8.1 - Full version,
AmazonBasics Wired Keyboard and Wired Mouse

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Aside from the great styling and external usability of this case, it is just a pleasure to work with. There is plenty of room for cable routing under the motherboard and the cut-outs are rounded so you don't gouge the cables or your hands. There is also a cut out under the CPU so you can swap coolers without having to unmount the board.

Installing the optical drive was really simple and took less time than getting the drive out of its packaging. As noted below, figuring out the SSD slots took a bit of time, but once I learned how to use them, it is very simple to install and remove a drive.

The motherboard standoffs are built into the case along with a plastic nub for one of the center holes. This was VERY useful in getting everything lined up as the back port plate tries to push the board forward. It was a bit tough to get some of the screws in, but my driver is fat, so it's probably just a tool issue.

The slot covers are held in with thumb screws and are not sharp. I would have liked to have had a place in the case to store the extras since I'm always needing to replace them after a few years of swapping components, but you can't have everything.

There is TONS of ventilation. There are two LED illuminated fans on the front grill and 1 on the back, room for another on the bottom in front of the PSU and almost the entire top of the case is a grill that you can mount a radiator to. The slot covers are also ventilated. Only the sides of the case are solid.

Cons: It doesn't come with a manual and the SSD slots aren't extremely intuitive. Once you know to start the drive in, they are easy to install/remove, but it would have been nice to have some instructions.

The HDD LED plug doesn't have + or - on it, so I had to flip it around after I got everything put together because I got the wrong polarity.

The side panel screw hole (that's used to hold the panel on) doesn't line up well on the case. It is minor, but considering how well the rest of the case was built, it's a bit disappointing

Other Thoughts: I've been building PCs for 20 years and this is my favorite case by far. I will be buying another when it comes time to upgrade my other PC. Considering the price point, I would only recommend another case if you have little kids who might want to see what happens if they drop stuff into the holes or decide to dispose of their juice into the top of the tower.
