Designed for a fast and straightforward system build, the Corsair Graphite 230T Computer Case is a great choice for building a gaming PC or the replacement of a boring office-grade box. It's constructed with a tool-less design from inside out, and the only time you’ll need a screwdriver is for attaching the motherboard. The simple exterior, with clean lines and superior craftsmanship, presents a sober, refined look, while cable management makes for a neat, clutter-free inner system. Add to that dual front intake LED fans for great cooling potential. The Corsair Graphite 230T is also future-proof, with up-front USB 3.0 connectivity, dedicated SSD bays, and seven expansion slots, making it capable of addressing your growing needs of tomorrow.

  • newegg Leading-edge styling Graphite Series cases meet at the intersection of high performance and dramatic design. The front intake fans are bathed in soft LED light, and the sculpted exterior helps you build a fast system that looks fast, too.
  • newegg Flexible cooling potential The 230T comes with dual 120mm front intake fans with LED lighting, and a rear 120mm exhaust fan. There’s room to add two 120mm or 140mm fans on the top, and a 120mm or 140mm fan on the bottom.
  • newegg Easy system builds, maintenance and upgrades The side panels, PCI-E expansion slots, and drive bays are all tool-free. Cable routing cutouts are provided for clean-looking builds and better airflow, and there’s a CPU cutout to allow for cooling upgrades without removing the motherboard. The intake fan filters help keep dust out of the interior, and they’re easy to remove for cleaning.
  • newegg Dedicated SSD bays The 230T offers four 2.5” drive bays for solid-state storage. That’s in addition to the four 3.5” bays and three 5.25” optical drive bays.
  • newegg Seven PCI-E expansion slots There’s room for multi-GPU setups for powerful gaming systems. The slots are tool-free, so swaps and upgrades are quicker.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Probably my number 1 pro would be a tie between looks and airflow out of the box. I love the understated look to the case. It's a really great simple take on the black monolithic tower look that has been around forever, and steering clear of the awful bright neon tacky "gamer" look that has just started to die out.

The case also is extremely well built. Some reviewers may say that some panels are flimsy, but I disagree. I think the entirety of the case feels sturdy and firm, and cannot see it breaking unless someone approached the case with the intention of breaking it. Like taking a friggen hammer to it or something. Going again to quality, the clear side panel is very nice. I haven't seen any other cases using the same window style as this one, which is cool if you want to have something different within your group of gaming friends or something. It shows just what you'd want it to show, a quick glance over and you get a nice view of your psu, gpu, and part of your mobo. Unless you're pooping money, it takes a lot of time and effort to decide what parts you want to buy, and so it's nice being able to see those things work. I know that isn't something particular to this case or anything, just another perk I'd say.

The front mesh IS plastic, but it does not feel flimsy in the slightest. If you wanted to break it, I'm sure you could find a way without too much trouble, but for the rest of us- no worries.

The case will (length wise) fit any gpu you want to throw in it. And the fans included will pull cool air from the outside right on it. The three fans included work well, and my system stays relatively cool.

I cannot speak to the ability to fit in large air coolers (Noctua, Dark pro 3,) as I am waiting to buy an aftermarket cooler.

Cons: There could be more cable management options, more usb ports on the front, a more solid power button, more cooling options, and more features such as that. But that isn't something that the case did wrong, as much as something that is characteristic of this price range. This case is very high quality in the things that you get, however you need to understand that you won't get the same things as someone shelling out 150+ on a case. Will you be able to run games? Sure. But can you fit in a crazy custom cooling system with crazy large rads and fans behind your mobo? No, but if that's something you want then I would recommend you look to cases more expensive that are built for people with those needs.

Other Thoughts: My buddy and I were building nearly identical builds, and when we got to cases it was between the BitFenix Shinobi and this one. He chose the Shinobi, and I chose the 230t. The shinobi is sleek in a different way, but the cooling just can't compete. This case is engineered to be efficient, clean, and simple. And in my opinion if you're spending this amount of money on a case then that is your best option. Anything trying to be flashier or more stylish even often cuts corners on more vital and essential elements to your case.

4 out of 5 eggs230T a nice choice in mid-ATX

Pros: Very impressed with the metalworking accuracy and solidity of this case. Fine accessibility from both case sides and L and R sides have an easy removal and reattachment, not prone to getting in the wrong track. Front switches and audio jacks are the opposite of flimsy, they're tough and will last. Fan mounting options are nice. PSU mounting is positive and accurate.

Cons: Not a lot of cable management features.

Other Thoughts: I doubt there is any competition in cable management around this price, so not much of a con.

3 out of 5 eggsCORSAIR 230T

Pros: Looks

Cons: Flimsy top and bottom panels. Power switch is a joke. I really cannot believe that Corsair put their name on this case. Ihad tov add another standoff for mobo.

Other Thoughts: The quality of this case is marginal. I have used Corsair cases in the past and been impressed with their quality.
I would not buy again.

4 out of 5 eggsbest case I have owned but I am cheap.

Pros: seems to have most of the modern conveniences for a case at this price point, easy to work with, some what aggressive look. the mix of plastic and metal parts seems to have been well thought out and should hold up well.

Cons: The dual 120mm water cooling from corsair may not clear the top edge of all mother boards, I had that issue and am not thrilled with having to mount the fans external to the top of the case, but at least they provide holes to route the fan power cables if one has to go that route, likely a rare mix of hard ware situation. over all it is well laid out for a case this size.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Everything about this case is perfect, sleek, everything inside is black including all of the front panel connectors.

Cons: The only con I have about this case is with the condition I received it in. At first looking at the box It had 3 huge dents in it, and preparing for the worst I took pictures of it. I'm quite short, 5'6, so I couldn't see the top of the case whilst having it on my kitchen table. To no avail after about an hour of cable management and getting everything final I was looking at the top to see how to install a radiator or fans, when I noticed a huge dent. When I say huge, it's about 2 inches long, and goes quite deep. The metal isn't rigid or pierced, and after putting everything in the case, there's no point of taking it back out and sending the case back and waiting 3 weeks to get another. All in all, I wish it didn't have the dent because this case is so sleek, but I'll just fasten something to the top so it won't be noticeable.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: Plenty of places to mount a fan. Provided fans work well and look good. Standoffs were all in the perfect position, provides a stable base for the motherboard. Installing an optical drive or hard drive is almost instant, just slide it in and it clicks secure. Cable routing is a breeze. Grill at the top lets heat escape easily.

Cons: Bulky, but I like my cases roomy. Easier to work on.

Other Thoughts: First build I have done in a while for myself. This case made it painless.

4 out of 5 eggsbroken bits

Pros: Big
Looks attractive
Led's are nothin short of awesome
Just awesome

Cons: Upon arrival, I found that one of the the clamps that hold on the front plastic panel to the case was snapped of upon arrival, cant find the broken piece. This makes it shake and is fairly annoying. Also, the drive bay holding the screw box is not as tight as the others, manageable though.

Other Thoughts: Rather not waste my money getting an RMA or replacement for the front. No matter how annoying the cheap plastic cover is I don't want to bother with Corsair's/Newegg's RMA that costs too much for shipping.

4 out of 5 eggsAppearance/Function

Pros: The 230T is a case that is a great budget gaming/enthusiast computer housing for the price, design, functionality, and value.

The 230T can be found in a variety of colors +definitely a plus!
If you are not a person who continuously fiddles around inside the case -this one is for you. And if you are PC enthusiast who does move/change parts continuously consider my cons regarding the side panel removal.

Cons: In consideration of the price point of the 230T the only two cons I found were:

- The design and functionality of the side panel metal hinges/hooks are cheap/too thin and bend way too easily(by a touch of a finger). I understand the design and functionality of the hooks on the side panels, but the hooks need to be made better. Possibly add more width to the hooks and make them double layered with the same gauge of metal.
- Should come with or have an option to purchase rubber grommets for the cable management holes around the motherboard tray. Corsair normally includes rubber grommet with their line of computer cases.

Other Thoughts: It's a purrrrty and beastly sight. Good job on the appearance Corsair.

Yes, I am a Corsair fan.
