3 out of 5 eggsGreat Case With Some Issues

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011070-WW Black Steel / Plastic MicroATX Mid Tower Air 240 High Airflow MicroATX and Mini-ITX PC Case

Pros: Looks great
Decent HDD / SSD support
Large side panel window
Dual chamber design
All panels removable

Cons: Scratches on the side panel window
Video card compatibility issues

Other Thoughts: It's a great little case. Looks nice, is fairly easy to work in (for a small form factor case), dual chamber design hides cables for easy cable management, 240mm radiator water cooler support, and a decent amount of both HDD's and SSD's support (3 of each). This case is great for LAN parties and tournaments, very small and light weight.

I'm rating this product 3 eggs because:
-1 egg for the scratches on the inside of the side panel window.
-1 egg because of video card support issues
(I know that's not really Corsair's fault, but they should really have the max graphics card height labeled on the product page.)

I was not able to fit my EVGA GTX 770 Classified graphics card into the case. After some modifications to the case however; I was able to get the card installed. I still have yet to mod the side panel so that it will close.
I didn't bother returning the product because I didn't want to go through all the time and trouble. Despite all of the cons, I still really like the case design.

It's a great case, just be cautious of your graphics card height and expect scratches on the side panel window.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsA great case for those wanting something smaller than the average case but still powerful

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011070-WW Black Steel / Plastic MicroATX Mid Tower Air 240 High Airflow MicroATX and Mini-ITX PC Case

Pros: - A slim, form fitting shape that actually feels pretty big regardless of it's small size.

- Great airflow possibilities with this case. There are vents on every single side, though if you're going to be using a Micro-ATX motherboard, you're just not going to be able to install any bottom mounted fans; they're too big and will be stopped by the bottom of the motherboard. OTHERWISE, flawless spacing in this case, and ITX users will especially love it, I promise that.

- Cube shaped. It's a cube, has a lot of metal parts, and looks great. Buy this product!

- The front panel looks GREAT and the material overall feels nice to the touch. There IS a fair bit of plastic, but even the plastic feels high quality.

- The shape along with the centered side panel window looks incredibly aesthetically pleasing. The pictures don't do it justice. 10/10 view.

Cons: - Depending on your motherboard, you may have some trouble having optimal cable management with this case when it comes to the MB PCI cable. In my case, with a gigabyte micro atx sniper board, I've found that I CAN'T use the best cable management slot AND have the hard drive bay installed; There's no cable management hole in the bay so if you were wanting to rout the PCI cable in a way that it would directly reach the MB slot, you won't be able too. It's a shame that there's no hole in the bay but that's me being pretty nit-picky.

- You're out of luck if you were wanting bottom fans while using anything but a Mini-ITX board. There's just not enough space between the bottom fan mounting grids and any Micro-ATX board.

- Your cable management is gonna be pretty tight, there's no getting around that, but it can be done, and when you DO get your cables managed, it looks great!

Other Thoughts: Overall, I can't give this case anything but 5 eggs. I just love it too much. Now, there are problems, and I'm speaking about a case that I've already broken in, but the flaws mentioned are more of just minor annoyances and not anything like poor build quality or massive flaws that would *ruin* a build.

If you're looking for a sleek, small and well built Corsair case, This is the one for you (Or any of Corsair's other Micro ATX/ITX cases because you just can't go wrong with a Corsair brand case.)

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011070-WW Black Steel / Plastic MicroATX Mid Tower Air 240 High Airflow MicroATX and Mini-ITX PC Case

Pros: So much room for a small case! Great fans, and I love the dual chamber design! Great cable management & room for 2 240mm radiators! Great quality, and for the price best case for any build!

Cons: Wasn't free

5 out of 5 eggsAmazed

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011070-WW Black Steel / Plastic MicroATX Mid Tower Air 240 High Airflow MicroATX and Mini-ITX PC Case

Pros: After fully assembling This ITX build inside the case, i realized how spectacular this case is. this is a VERY solidly Built case.

with a FM2-A88X-ITX+ motherboard inside, the connections literally Aligned with the grommet slots, the grommets are also very solid rubber. not flimsy in any way. i have a 1000 watt power supply with 2 SSD's and 2 Hard drives in the case. i have 8 fans in this case, 2 80mm fans mounted on the back, 2 on the bottom For cooling the Mammoth of a 290X. and 2 with the LC in the Front. one on the top, or side. and one in the Storage bay for the drives and powersupply. the Top window or side (depending on orientation of the Case) is a nice Dense and slightly scratch Resistant plastic that has a Slight tint of Blue in it.

This case Dons enough airflow as any full sized ATX case does, only in a more compact manor.

I have been a Firm believer In Corsairs Build Quality, and while they implement a decent amount of plastic, the actual Frame implemented in this case IS Very sturdy.

the plastic casing that literally is like a armored suit, this entire thing can be stripped down to absolutely barebones, without the need of a screwdriver *** thumbs up *** and the frame is accessible even with sausage fingers very swiftly.
GRAPHICS JUNKIES! *ATTENTION*
Considering the purpose of this case, i could not Fit my Lightning Edition card, and the width of the card was literally a inch in a half to tall. this can only accept standard width cards, and there is no exception unless cutting the case up is a option.

secondly, GPU blocks if the fittings are to thick will cause the tinted viewing window to flex or scratch. but considering this case and how awesome it is at airflow. this is a neutral trait that should only detract you if you have cards of too much width.

Cons: i can't Flip the power switch to an upright position, like i can with the corsair Logo. so when i have the case in a position where the Window is upright.
(not a big deal)
the implementation of 2 80mm fans on the back is definitely a strange thought as i know few people that still consider that Fan size worth it. but the thought is what counts, and i am actually glad they considered it an option as it is better than nothing.

Lets say you put this in a position where the power supply and hard drive bay is on bottom, and the PC is on display, the Rubber feet including at only about 3/4 an inch thick, which i can see being a problem if your power supply does need fresh air, as well as your hard drive cage. but i luckily have Pressure fans from corsair which is a serious consideration when running my setup, as airflow fans with only cause the air to ricochet.

My braided GPU 8 pin connectors are literally rubbing against the window of the side panel. (or top panel on orientation) you must Bend your PCIE connectors if your connector is on the left side of the GPU, if it is on the latter half of the card in the back, there will be no problems.

Other Thoughts: This case is spectacular, but mileage may Vary if you are trying to Achieve a monster rig such as mine. i would give this case a 5 out of ten, only considering the other flaws cases have, as it is only fair for me and corsair to be judged accordingly. it still deserves 5 eggs, i would recommend this to any person trying to achieve an absolute blast of a case, as the overall configuration of this case if VERY flexible.

* Hard drive/SDD/PSU and excess cable management is not at all visible through the viewing window and is very pleasing to not see zipties.
** Zipties? you'll run of those before you, use all the available slots for them. on every surface of this case there are at least three.
**Very clean and satisfying paint scheme. matte black was a perfect color for this case, and the viewing panel has a very elegant tint of blue.
***** frame is extremely Rigid.
*** configurations are far more vast with this case, while sacrificing GPU compatibility. such as width.
****every panel comes off in literally two revolutions of the handscrews.
**thin yet durable side panels, they may be thin, but it would take a lot to cause them to be damaged in a bad way.
**** 9 fan positions, as well as them all being on Rails. except for the 80mm and HDD/SDD bay.
other corsair products really show how much compatibility was sought after with corsair. not one of there RAM/Fans/Or LC units will not work in this. Guaranteed to be compatible with all Corsair Products. Including the Upcoming GPU waterblocks)
