3 out of 5 eggsAdequate Mid-range case

Pros: (1) Smaller in size than my previous ATX case, about a full inch shorter in height.
(2) Robust removable PSU filter

Cons: (1) Metal is thinner than my previous cases, to the point that picking it up by a flange bent it. I fixed it by pressing it back into place with my thumb. Case also came with a small dent on the underside, not noticeable but annoying.
(2) The fan controller did not work. Corsair provided a free replacement, albeit, I had to remove my graphics card and motherboard to route the wires through an opening behind it.
(3) Hard drive cage is removable but there is no other place to mount SSD's

Other Thoughts: The Fractal Design 1500 was my first choice, its price caused me to instead purchase this case

4 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: lots of screws, room, and cable ties
seems like a solid case
nothing fancy, just the way I prefer

Cons: the back cover screw came stripped for one of them, had to use source another one. Didn't want to RMA it just because a small screw...

4 out of 5 eggsGood all around case

Pros: Well constructed, comes with 2 fans preinstalled, more than enough room for a micro atx build, dust cover for bottom mounted psu, and doesn't seem flimsy to me.

Cons: I'm knocking an egg off because of the lack of cable management space in this case. There are a decent number of cable routing holes on the sides of motherboard. However, there is no hole up top to route the 8 pin cpu cable, so I had to cross the whole mobo with the cable. With the bulge that Corsair has on the sides of this case, I figured there would be ample room for tying up cables and hiding extras behind mobo, but that is not the case. I couldn't comfortably fit any cables when they were ziptied to the tie down points on back of mobo tray. I'm using an EVGA 500w bronze psu, so cables have a mesh coating that makes them a little harder to give, but they aren't that much thicker than other brands. It almost gave me the impression that the case wanted to look like cable management was possible, but once you start building, you realize that wasn't going to work. Maybe i'm being a little too picky, but i would expect better cable management on a case over $50, especially a case from Corsair. I have built systems in other cases in this price range that utilize their case space much better.

Other Thoughts: Even with the cable management issues, i would still recommend this case. I'd almost go as far as saying a modular psu is a must if you don't want a cluttered looking build. Also, I can't speak for how well the fan controller works, because I removed it so I didn't have to hide more cables. It is very easy to remove (only 2 screws), and the hole it leaves is an inch by half an inch big. The positioning of the controller makes routing the cables to hide them impossible (no top holes where 8 pin would go), so I'd rather have a small hole that's easily hidden vs. more wires to deal with.

2 out of 5 eggsSub-par for the price

Pros: Quiet, Cheap, decent cable management, fits a 970, and has USB 3

Cons: Flimsy thin metal that bends easily and came dented, Front vent filter slows down air, If you add a 3rd fan it will not move air because its mounted on the outside of the case, has a dead zone where air doesn't move in the back.

Other Thoughts: Bought this case on sale and sent in the rebate. Once you send in the rebate there's no returns. You live and you learn, I will not make that mistake again

3 out of 5 eggsNice case with one major exception!

Pros: The case is a realtively decent case. I like the way the 5 1/4 inch devices snap in and it's a very quiet case. It seems to have good cooling with the included fans which do push a good amount of air.

Cons: The hard drive enclosure does NOT have enough clearance for the side panel to slide on easily. When the power and data cables get attached to the hard drives the side panel does not fit properly. Had I known this I would NOT have bought this case. Unfortunately, one only discovers issues like this once you purchase it. It definitely gets an egg removed for this issue.

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice, with some small caveats

Pros: -Excellent looks
-Sufficiently roomy
-Lots of easily accessible filters
-Lots of nice touches in general
-All around pleasant to work inside

Cons: -Be sure you have modern components

Other Thoughts: Overall, I really like this case. It's got a really elegant look. It's also not quite as small as some reviewers seem to indicate- I'm using a full size ATX board and a full length (but not gigantic) video card, and there's plenty of room to work. All interior edges are nicely rolled, the steel is well adonized, and the layout is sensible. There's some little touches that really made things nicer- the standoffs are already installed, but one of them is just a kind of peg. That really wasn't what I wanted, but several other standoffs were included in the bag of parts, so that was trivial to replace. There's extras of every kind of screw that you might need, including the sometimes difficult to find case fan screws. The power supply opening has two sets of holes, so you can mount the power supply right side up or upside down, as you prefer (I've got mine "upside down" (fan up) because it's on a really dusty floor).

The expansion slot cover system seemed a little odd to me, but functional. There's a plate on the back that covers the top of your expansion cards that you remove, then the expansion card tabs actually stick out behind the case, where you screw them into the block, then the panel goes back on top. I'm really not sure why they opted for this kind of a design, but it works fine.

My biggest frustrations stemmed from the fact that I'm not using terribly modern hardware. The drive cage is mounted sideways (I guess people constantly swap hard drives?), which I suppose is fine, although the connectors face towards the "wrong" side of the case, so you'd have to take both panels off. My problem is that this kind of configuration requires right-angle plugs on both your SATA and power cables, of else they're far too long. My power supply doesn't have angled plugs, and I don't seem to have any kind of an adapter. Luckily I still had a 5.25" adapter kit so I stuck the hard drive in one of the drive bays, but that's kind of dumb. The drive cage is technically removable, by the way- it's held in by about a dozen screws. I ended up taking mine out so I had a place to put the giant wad of cables that you get with a non-modular power supply. That was frustrating as well, because the case assembler stripped the heck out of a couple screws, so I had to cut them off with a Dremel.

Also, the front USB 3 ports have a different motherboard plug than USB 2, and that was a surprise to me. If you don't have a 19 pin USB 3 header on your board (it's giant and blue), you'll need to pick up an adapter so you can attach the ports to the header on your motherboard. Newegg sells them for like $4, just make sure you get one if you need it.

The fan control is kind of a cute feature, I guess, but I opted not to use it. The switch and associated cables come out with two screws, and the included fans are standard 3-wire case fans. I just plugged them into the headers on my motherboard. There really isn't much space for cable routing, so plan ahead!

4 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet Case, Room for everything but a little hard to put a double slot video card in.

Pros: Very Quiet, Sound Dampened. Cannot hear the machine when it's on.
Small Footprint, fits in my entertainment center
good quality I've come to expect from Corsair

Cons: felt a little light and plasticy, feels solid enough with everything in it but the plastic panels and feet feel a little cheap
The PCI fastening area is a little tight, you have about 3/4 an inch where you can slide the L bracket on the card in, makes it hard to get a double width video card like the EVGA GTX950 SSC I used. It fit but it took about 5 minutes to get it in there, not for quick card swaps.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm satisfied but if I'd known the Con ahead of time I would have ordered a different case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat looks. Good size.

Pros: Excellent good looks, excellent size for a micro-ATX build, light weight. I bought it on sale and got a Corsair rebate to boot. I got the rebate from Corsair in 4 weeks.

Cons: Don't count on removing the front fascia often and the instructions for doing so are a joke. The fascia is plastic and is held on by 6 plastic push pins. Those pins are thick and split in the middle to apply the holding power as they squeeze in then spread once in place. I had to pinch them in from the back to get them out because I feared just pulling on the fascia might break it.

There is plenty of room for your cabling inside but no help for cable routing. It's a narrow case with no cable room behind the side panels and there are no hooks or tie-downs.

Other Thoughts: I paired this case with a micro-ATX mobo and a Corsair RM650x power supply. A modular PSU is a very good idea so that you can install only the cables you need to save cabling room. There is room for an ATX mobo but I would prefer a roomier case for the bigger mobo, especially if planning to use expansion cards and definitely if planning dual video cards.

I decided not to use the included fan controller so I simply removed it altogether which eliminated a bundle of wires. In the front I swapped the included fan for a Corsair AF120 I had on hand. The included fan then was moved down to the lower front spot. That lower fan location is inside the fascia but mounts on the outside of the front case wall, not inside the case itself. I left the third fan unconnected until it is needed. So far I do not need it. My mobo has two case-fan headers and ASUS AI Suite 3 seems to control them nicely.

I have a full sized video card and a Core i3 (Skylake) CPU with stock cooler. This system runs whisper quiet and every time I check the temperatures they are under 40 C. The i3 will idle down just below 30 C at rest so the case's ventilation seems very good. That might change if you were using a more powerful CPU and gaming a lot.

Other than to install a third fan there is no reason to remove the front fascia. There is a minimal air filter built in to the fascia and it can be cleaned from the outside. Beneath the power supply is a better (finer mesh) filter that is removable for cleaning.

This case is quite light and is noticeably lighter, fully built, than a Dell Optiplex 760 Small-Form Factor machine.

The power button does not inspire confidence but I'm sure it will be fine. It does not have a positive "click" when you push it but oddly, the Reset button right next to it does have a decent "click" to it, and they seem to be exact twins otherwise.

I really like this case. I would buy it again for a Micro-ATX build and I recommend it for that purpose.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair 100R Silent Edition Performs as Advertised

Pros: Cable routing is very clean with Corsair RM650x Modular PSU
All built in IO connections function properly
Included fans are sufficient and quiet, reconfiguration within case was simple
Fan controller functions properly

Cons: Fan controller location on rear of case is unusual
Fan controller cable routing required adhesive zip tie mounts to roof of case, no routing channels readily available
No sound dampening material on Motherboard side panel

Other Thoughts: Solid case. System runs very quietly with SSDs, liquid cooling, and the included fans.

Pros: It's a Corsair, delivered as advertised.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you mess up a case that's your problem.
