Remember when every computer case looked the same and was a color charitably called “putty”? Well, they're still available if you want them, but you can also get a gleaming mid-sized ATX-compatible tower with LED highlights and a plastic viewport into the guts. A 420 watt power supply provides enough power to do more than just light the pretty lights, too.

Ten drive bays and seven I/O slots give room for expansion, and a front panel LCD display tracks the internal temperature. Two fans with LEDs keep everything cool while illuminating the interior, and if they're not quite enough, you can add up to three more fans. You can also access your audio and your USB 2.0 from the front panel.

If you want a computer that is as much show piece as it is working tool, then perhaps this is just what you're looking for. Check it out and decide for yourself.

  • newegg Transparent Side Panel Window The Apevia X-Dreamer II’s fantastic transparent side panel window provides a direct view of the inner system. An 80mm UV blue LED side fan improves interior airflow and looks simply amazing too.
  • newegg Excellent Expandability with 10 Drive Bays Featuring four 5.25" external drive bays, and six 3.5” drive bays (two external and four internal), the Apevia X-Dreamer II provides excellent expandability.
  • newegg Front LCD Temperature Indicator The front LCD temperature indicator provides instant readouts, safeguarding your system and components from overheating.
  • newegg Built-in 420W PSU The Apevia X-Dreamer II is equipped with a powerful 420W power supply unit that delivers strong power to all system components and provides a high level of system reliability.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent tower

Pros: It's a good looking case. The 80m fan covers on the top and side fans are very cool. Relatively sturdy.

Cons: Side panel become somewhat warped a year or 2 after I got it. It really doesn't slot into the tower properly anymore but the thumbscrews still reach even though it's really not completely mounted so it stays on. I've had it for 8 years though; I've put it through a lot of moving/opening/closing, more than most ever will.

The glossy black portions of the case tend to show dirt and dust easily as well as dents. Paint never chipped in 8 years. When it's clean it looks great still.

Front LED connector wires were incredibly short. These same LEDs on the front went out about 2 years after I bought it.

Other Thoughts: Overall still a pretty decent tower. Great looking if you keep the exterior clean. If I replace it soon, it'd probably be with something a little more sturdy considering how much I move mine to and from school, and a little less flashy. Maybe I'm getting boring in my age.

1 out of 5 eggsneed 15 cases but out of stock

Pros: wanted this case for our gaming room since i all ready have one of theses cases and works great! going set up 15 new computers and play local lane! but new-egg doesn't stock this case anymore .... what a shame looks like ill have to buy else where... one egg for discounting a great case

Cons: one egg for discounting a great case. spending 30k on parts but will shop else where on parts cause ill like to order them all from the same online store to make things easier.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat looking case

Pros: LED lights are nice (although pretty bright). Front LED display is great, power and reset button work well. Ample space inside, nice airflow.

Cons: The 5.25" bays have a little piece of metal sticking out, that when I installed my Blueray drive scratched the face of it (had to push it through). The stock fans that came with are a nice touch (blue LEDs are cool), but they don't push around a lot of air.

Other Thoughts: The 420W PSU that came with was an added bonus. Although I don't intend on using it, I stashed it away and ended up giving to a friend when her PSU died about a month ago.

2 out of 5 eggsBeware: Very Minimal Power Supply

Pros: It looks pretty BA, the LED's are super bright (not good for a dorm room), and it appears the fans cool the case effectively. Temperature Display is handy when Troubleshooting or testing out demanding programs etc.

Cons: The included power supply is near worthless, especially if you want to have a decent Video Card (Mine is a ATI5770) which recommends atleast 450W, where as this one only puts out 420W.

ALSO: The power supply only includes 1, I repeat, ONE, SATA power cable. If you have both an optical drive and a hard drive that requires one sata power cable each, then you MUST have a power adapter cable to go to your sata hardware(NOT INCLUDED) This could've been a huge hassle, as none of the electronic stores in my area had them in stock (even best buy)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for price point!

Pros: 10 Drive bays in a mid tower, Front LCD panel is a great asset, Ventilation as stated is great in this case.

Cons: Transparent side window, there was a time when this was a must, blinking LED's visible inter workings. But really who looks at the tower, all the action is on the screen. And it just shows the dirt I'm to lazy to clean constantly...

Front LED's began to burn out after 2 years.

PSU isn't modular, nor does it contain SATA connectors.

Other Thoughts: I bought this 6 years ago for my first DIY build, I've built a handful since then and this case was recycled into a number of machines. It only meet the big shredder at the recycling plant because all the LED's burned out and I was tired of the dirty window. Many of it's components were re-utilized and adopted into other machines, only it's power supply, archaic and dated has yet to find a home.

Pros: looks great. excellent construction. lots of room. durable power supply.

Other Thoughts: I have owned this case for several years. Great power supply. Overclocked system runs great. If you like the looks of this case, and it is in your price range, buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsAvia Tower...

Pros: Volume is good for cooling.
Enough bays to suit most anyone.
420 Watt PSU ok.
Nice paint finish.
LED/POWER/AUDIO etc wiring ok.

Cons: Not enough/wrong screws/Standoffs for mounting MainBoard...

Other Thoughts: All on all not a bad choice but mounting hardware with perhaps a simple manual would be nice...
Better even if more expensive to be made in the U.S. not CHINA...

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: nice design, nice finish

Cons: a little flimsy, LEDs are very bright. At this price i wish I would have gotten another case. Not very many options on this and for a few dollars more you can get tool less design. Power supply does not support 8 pin motherboards

Other Thoughts: Do some more research and you will find better cases.

Pros: Well build, solid construction.

Cons: A little too heavy.

Other Thoughts: Just make sure you are not sleeping in the same room, it does illuminates the room.
