4 out of 5 eggsStill going after 3rd set of guts

Pros: Solid case, cool design. Power button and usb/headphone jacks on top, so easy to reach when it's sitting on the floor next to your desk. Fits fairly large CPU cooling tower. Screw-in drive racks, which I prefer over the newer flimsy screwless designs. Has 120mm fan mount at rear, which should support an all-in-one liquid CPU cooler.

Cons: Front door is flimsy; hinge broke after a few years of use. PSU is dated, no 6-pin PCIe plug or SATA plugs - good only for older low power rigs. Quite noisy with both fans running.
Not deep enough for the longest video cards.

Other Thoughts: Bought in 2004 for my video-gaming kid; upgraded with new guts in 2008 and again in 2012. Gave him the option to get a new case this time around as he heads to college but he still likes the design. Had to replace the PSU with a Rosewill 600W model in 2007 to handle PCIe cards in crossfire (fits fine with the top fan), though I'm still using the now 9 year old PSU in another machine with no issues. Never needed the side fan, so that's unplugged to reduce noise. Just wish I could get a replacement door...

4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice for the price.

Pros: *It looks nice.
*It's flashy. (quite a few lights)
*The lit-up thermometer display is nice.
*Cheap-ish with a PSU.

Cons: *The top fan is indeed too close to the PSU.
*No info about the PSU.
-PSU has 4 molex, 2 floppy drive, 4-pin cpu, and 20+4 main power cords. (Thus, you need adapters to plug up anything but the fans - the fans all have molex in-out plugs.)
*Someone else mentioned the fans being a child hazard, I'd agree with that with the addition of the fan grills possibly being able to cut a finger.
*No filters for fans.
*No documentation.
*Maybe I'm weak, but I simply cannot remove the front panel. I unscrewed it, but I just can't pull it hard enough.
*I unplugged the front lights.. they're too bright in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: I just used this to build my first computer, and I didn't have any problems hooking things up or figuring it all out. I did have to look up how to get the optical drive slots open. Apparently, you just push the first one out really hard.

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggsNice looking case

Pros: Nice looking case, cheap

Cons: Power supply is ANCIENT! No SATA!

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for my first build, a budget build. I kind of liked the way the case looked, and the price for a case with a power supply was pretty nice, I read reviews that nagged only of the front LEDs/top fan placement, so I bought it.

What I didn't notice is that most of the reviews are 2-5 years old, which would have been a red flag, had I paid more attention, so to save anyone else the hassle of buying this case for the bundled PSU, I'll give you what Newegg should have:

The PSU connector specs:

1 x 20/24pin Main Power
1 x 12V (P4)
4 x Peripheral
2 x Floppy

Hopefully this saves someone else a little bit of trouble.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat lasting case

Pros: This has been an excellent case. bought for my very first build back in early 2004, and it is still in use today. Air flow is insanely good; added 2 front fans and a 92mm rear fan. Kept all 4 HDDs cool =) Looks really good all lit up, and I even had a matching USB optical mouse (still works too). Plenty of space to work in, even with full ATX board and wires and such. Door still operates smoothly, and front temp readout still works flawlessly. I have moved several times and this heavy beast hasnt show a lick from it.

Cons: Generates dust at a rate that violates the laws of physics. Dust should not accumulate this quickly. "headlights" are VERY, VERY bright. as There are 2 dots on the wall 15ft away, but nothing some clever tape work didnt calm down. Front panel wires are short, and make it annoying to get the wiring to look proper. PSU died after about 3-4 years, so it was a good one. Unlike others, I DID NOT have to move my top fan after an PSU upgrade, I used a Rosewill 5hundredsomething watt PSU and it fit like a glove.

Other Thoughts: Stared this build with a KV8extreme 939, AMD 3000+, 1GB RAM and 8x AGP 6800 256MB GPU, sweated as I flashed the BIOS to accept the 3800x2, then 2GB RAM and finally an ATI 4650 1GB AGP, and this case was there through it all. I have since parted with the rig (yes I cried) and the niece and nephew use it to play WoW and Farmville, LOL I make an Optimus Prime theme (my hero!) with the autobots logo between the front plastics so the eyes light up, autobot paint, and the transforming sounds when XP boots and closes. the Kids love it.
--> One great and tough case overall, even if I did pay 2O less then what it costs now, 6 years ago!!

3 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: looks pretty cool, plenty of space to work.

Cons: (1) power supply is low on connections, none are sata. (2) installation is a little more involved than other mi-towers i've build. (3) some wires/cables short

4 out of 5 eggsWell lived case

Pros: I've had this case 2004, its still holding up well despite multiple moves over that period. Side panels have held well too, except for some paint scratches
* Good illumination both from the front LED's on the door and the fan's on the top and side-door.
* Digital Temp Indicator on front (connected to probe for case heat only)
* Space for additional fans in front of the HDD bay as well as on the rear panel

Cons: * As mentionned in other review, dust bunnies seem to accumulate rapidly in my case.
* PSU is cheap & can't really accomodate much load
* Top fan placement is poor... any replacement PSU you buy that can handle the load of fans as well as a GPU and a few drives will necessitate mounting the fan to the exterior of the case
* Temp indicator stopped illuminating after 6 mos.
* Wiring for connecting your mobo to the top mounted switch / USB are short and make management difficult

Other Thoughts: For the money, I have been really happy with this case through the years.
I wish there were easily changeable / washable filters to help alleviate some of the dust issues, its difficult to get at the fans in the front of the case w/o removing the plastic faceplate / door assembly.
Door illumination looks best if any optical drives are also black.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case for the price

Pros: I've had the case for over 4 years now and have few qualms with it.
It looks nice (sorta like a BMW)
Has a temp readout
Good size, sorta between full and mid
It can fit large CPU coolers (I have a scythe mugen 2 in mine)
Good airflow
Top fan (Few cases in this price range have this)
Feels solid. And it is. I have moved this back and forth from place to place and no problems.

Cons: After 4 years, the door gets annoying. However it still works just fine even tho I slam it open and shut quite often.
The lights are bright, so if you are sleeping in the same room with it on, throw a shirt over it or something.
The LCD for the temp is flickering now, but I don't mind, it lasted a long time.
The top fan is set a little too far back, so I had to remove it to fit my new PSU in it. My next case I think I will get a bottom mounted PSU case.

Other Thoughts: To fit my CPU heatsink in I had to remove the clear plastic and spin it 180 degrees, then screw it back in. Not too big a problem, still have a side fan, just on the bottom right instead of top left.

All in all, it is a great budget gamer case. I would defiantly recommend it to anyone. (who isn't doing extreme overclocking anyways... however it does have good enough airflow to allow me to get my i7 920 to 3.7ghz, so its still good!)

4 out of 5 eggsGood Over All Case

Pros: The case has a good size but not to big. It has enough room take hard drives in/out with out moving pci or video cards out of the way. Moreover the case is metal. Not some cheap plastic and it good for taking a beating (I know mine has over the years, lol).

There is a top power button that makes life easy.
Air flow is good no over heating here. But I have to 80mm fans added.

Cons: Dust, dust and more dust. Don't get the case if you you don't like doing cleaning or dusting. I have added two 80mm fan in the front (behind the lcd temp screen in front of the HDD). Now it's like a vacuum for dust. Ever 2-3 moth (under heavy use) I have clean the case. No big deal that 5 min and a air can can't solve.

Also you can't switch the way the front case open. Only open to the left.

Other Thoughts: Good case. Just get some fans in the front and you will be ok. I love it and you will two. Well made case just dusty. Also I have a cat who loves the lights so I am blowing out cat hair too.

Just get a can of air and have fun.
