4 out of 5 eggsI like it.

Pros: good design, good airflow, easy i/o panel instillation, everything fit nicely

Cons: not great cable organization, metal bent when installing video cards, CPU fan didnt line up with the air duct, had to super glue the 2 lights on the top of the front of the case because they were wobbly

4 out of 5 eggsHave had this for 3 years

Pros: Beautiful
Tons of features
Long-lasting

Cons: Top power supply
Design makes it extremely difficult to upgrade power supplies
Screws can get easily trapped in creases
USB and LED cables are invidiual pins
Paint can scratch off

Other Thoughts: I've had this for three years. It was a starter case for me. It's nice looking, works great, got many compliments. But the fan placement made it impossible for me to upgrade to larger power supplies. Other quriks made us have to saw off tube on a vent, and now I have to remove the top fan. Finally gonna upgrade. Also got heavily scratched off paint went I moved. Durable enough case, but I'm ready to move on to one that fits my needs as I upgrade. It's served as a moderate "gaming" rig all these years.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Case

Pros: Good setup, good airflow. Used AMD 64/dual core, Asus mobo. Everything fit well, no problems with drive cables reaching, etc. Excellent temperature readout, a really nice case. Well worth the money.

Cons: nothing

Other Thoughts: I pretty much use Apevia cases, usually the X-dreamer2. For the money, you really can't beat them. I usually work on these older retail boxes that have me shaking my head and muttering to myself. Snap-together plastic, most of them, one bad move and something breaks. I appreciate building with excellent cases like Apevia, especially for the money. Oh-just a thought-you can order spare bulbs and temp readouts from Apevia inexpensively, just call them and they are very helpful. I had a couple go out, took me 10 minutes to replace. Easy.

5 out of 5 eggsCould be worse...

Pros: Very stylish and good placement of lights and design. Comes w/2 fans and plenty of space in the bays to place hardware. Very Easy to assemble. If you need instructions someone posted early a link that maybe useful.

Cons: Poor design for wire connectors. The Power Switch, HDD LED, Reset Switch, etc are not a large block but small pin connectors. Luckily most Mobo's come w/adapters where you can simply connect all of them into and you don't have to attempt to place tiny connectors on pins if your like me and not very graceful with that stuff. Also the 12v Output Fan controller wire has a Male end vs. a typical female end or male/female end which ultimately left me one connector short and I could not plug it in. It could be partially the Power supply's fault (Roswell 650w) so I won't take any eggs off of this.

Other Thoughts: Overall it could be better designed. But There is not enough wrong to consider this a poor case. For the price, the design/color, and functionality this is defiantly a case to get.

Also I see no place to comment on Delivery service but a company "Brown" was exceptional at delivering it very quickly even at the standard 3 day delivery.

5 out of 5 eggsGenerally a good case

Pros: I have purchased four X-DreamerII and this X-Plorer case. All are fine, have lasted several years. I have never cut myself once on any Apevia case. These cases are not for a single computer family with rough kids - you get the picture. They can't be slammed around. If you take care of them they will last forever. Replacement lights and LED thermal readouts are available for reasonable cost from Apevia. Just call them and tell them what you want and no problems. I have never had a LED readout fail, except for the backlight once. Had to replace the blue lights on 1 X-DreamerII after 3 years. Took me 1/2 hour, very easy. Plug & unplug, done. The X-Plorer is easy. Remove 4 tiny screws, 2 on each side. Pull out on the bottom of the front panel and it easily pops open and everything is right there. Simple. 45 seconds. Lots of room in the case, plenty of drive bays. If you have probs with installing standoffs on the mobo tray, just use tooth washers and nuts reverse-side & screw them in. Done

Cons: For the money? None

Other Thoughts: What do you want for that kind of money?? Come on, folks, be reasonable. Every Apevia case I used to build is still in good shape when my clients bring it back in for computer service. I have upgraded several. Great value for the money, and they really look cool. My X-Plorer case build was an AMD 2Xcore/Asus mobo, 4gig 1066 RAM. Overclocked to 3.0 GHz. Runs 32°C with my burn-in utility stressing the bejabberrs out of it using the Apevia stock fans that came with the case. What more do you want?

5 out of 5 eggslooks good, holds good.

Pros: 80mm, and 2 120mm fans i bought seperately lights the inside of the case up nicely, aswell with the four front corners lit up well. The lcd temp display is nice, aswell with the fan controller beside it. quite good airflow inside of it also. the small bracket mobo screws are easily installable. stable design.

Cons: 80mm fans........badd. thats the only thing i didn't like reading before buying this case, but they did light up a bit.

Other Thoughts: the smal lair chamber that came off the transparent door seemed off. But i bought a horizontal cooler for my cpu, rather than a verticle one.

2 out of 5 eggsEh, Not So Good

Pros: Looks good, lights up, clear side panel and a temp sensor that works in both celcious and feronheight, has good airflow and cools well.

Cons: Cheap, pieces fall off, sensor may burn out.

Other Thoughts: I have had this for 4 months now and its already an absolute wreck, all 4 corner pieces have broken off and I barely touch them, I have taken the best care of this case that I could but its still falling apart. The temp sensor no longer works and the numbers no longer show up however the case performs fairly well, lots of room and it cools very well without a side panel fan, the fan at the top does wonders so I would only recommend this case if you are willing to deal with the above problems.

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the temperature gauge to get an exchange on it if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

4 out of 5 eggsOk

Pros: Looks cool! Has an LCD display for temperature. Has a knob for controlling front fans. Cool blue lights.

Cons: motherboard tray was IMPOSSIBLE to put screws in without applying pressure equal to an elephant. never able to start front 2 fans, however I did get the LCD working. Ended up replacing the other fans for stronger ones since my motherboard kept overheating.

Other Thoughts: Have someone else go through the trouble of putting your computer together, and this case is worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for the price!

Pros: I have bought 10 of these and all worked flawlessly! Cheap plastic cases, but comes with an average sized PSU. Great for that $350 computer build. Clear case, and fans included. The handle on top makes for easy industrial moving around. Not the best for a home computer case.

Cons: Cheap plastic. Sometimes tough to get ROMs into their bays.

1 out of 5 eggsApevia Support Is Worthless

Pros: None

Cons: Received the case, however the holes in the motherboard mounting tray were drilled and not threaded, therefore standoffs couldn't be screw/ed in. Called Apevia expecting them to send us a replacement slide in panel and got a run around about having to send the old part in and wait 1-2 weeks for the new part. The REFUSED to just send me just the part I needed even though it was THEIR FAULT.... my first experience with them was my last. GO WITH ANTEC INSTEAD!

Manufacturer Response:

We try to help our customers with their problems. However, we do have our policies and ask that the end-user provide us with the necessary information so that we can process their requests.
