5 out of 5 eggsWhat a great little case.

Pros: Nice size for sitting on the desk or entertainment center. I've had this case since 2007 and it has been "modded" at least 3 times. I had to cut the inside to fit a full size vid card (3gig), I cut the cover to accommodate a liquid cooling unit for the CPU as the cooler fan was way too noisy. Some reviews badmouth the carry handle...it's gave me great service for years but I wouldn't swing it by the handle!

Cons: I have no cons for this case

Other Thoughts: Like I said, it's a great little case. I will be getting another one for a new build for my nephew.

3 out of 5 eggsBE CAREFUL when selecting this case

Pros: Compact, generally well crafted, nice features and components for the price

Cons: Not compatible with ATX/EPS 12V 8 pins boards (included power supply). Some screw holes for drives are misaligned. If you plan on putting a PCIe card (video), you'll have a fun time trying to screw the card in its slot as there's a metal plate right over that slot (riveted, can't be moved).

Other Thoughts: Design is generally good, but there are obvious flaws and the included PSU is simply not compatible with some of the more recent boards which makes it not such a good deal in the end...

Would not have bought it if I knew...

1 out of 5 eggsPretty face, but no substance.

Pros: Pretty face. Removable motherboard tray. Lots of storage space.

Cons: It's so lightweight that I'm afraid I'll wad it up just by touching it. For a mini ATX this is a big box and I was truly surprised just how big it is - think small microwave or very big toaster oven. While this would normally be a really good thing in my mind, this case is so big that it feels like it's going to fall apart. You know how a small corrugated box can be super rigid, but if you scale that same box up 20 times, with the same thickness of cardboard it becomes very, very flexible hard to work on with warping something.

I've been building computers since 1986, all sizes and all types and in that time I bought a couple cases that were not outstanding. It happens. But this one is a joke.

Far to many moving parts. That's one of the reason that the case is so flexible. pulling the motherboard tray up, I saw the entire back-plane flexing and bending - and it slid out without a catch.

This is advertised as being a portable computer case that you can pick up by the handle that's spring loaded on the face of the case. If you do, it's my opinion that you'll be rebuilding the computer. That handle is retained with just a couple eclips that were barely hanging on in my case. It is also mounted in the plastic face, not in the metal behind it.

Absolutely plan on changing the power supply. I haven't seen a PS this lightweight since I had a Commodore 64.

Bottom line is this, if you are building a computer that has a lot of pretty parts and lights you want to show off and it's never going to be moved, perhaps you can get by with it, it might be OK.

If they had used this thickness steel instead of aluminum it would have made a nice case. Sadly they didn't do that.

If they had skipped the power supply entirely it could be a bit cheaper. But if they spent $2 on the supply instead.

Other Thoughts: I'm sending it back. It wasn't cheap, and shipping it back won't be cheap due to the size, but I'm not going to use it. I'm afraid it would collapse.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat case

Pros: it looks cool and its small. The mb tray made my first build much more enjoyable. and i dont understand why everyone keeps calling it flimsy. your a moron if you break this case. it was my first build and i didnt break it. and the stock fans are quiet and keep it cool. but im switching them out anyways for some much more powerful fans since i dont run a/c

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: i recommend the scythe big shuriken 2 heatsink and fan because it fits very well in this case and seems to keep the processor cool.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Impressed

Pros: SFF Case, good for a simple build, but hard to fit anything

Cons: Not very durable, screws strip out easily, front mesh is very fragile, and MB tray is flimsy.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't use this case for a gaming build for sure.
If you plan on doing a nice build, and want a cube case, i would look into a different case because IMO this case is not worth it for a quality build, especially for 100 dollars

5 out of 5 eggsThe PERFECT Lanbox

Pros: This thing is fantastic. As soon as I took it out of the box I was hooked. The included fans as well as the power supply are whisper quiet! A nice, relaxing blue light shines through the 3 built in windows from the exhaust fan LEDs. Much more room inside than one might think at first glance. Carrying handle is surprisingly strong and spring loaded. Temperature sensors work great, and the temperature display is nice, bright, and easy to read. Power supply cables are well wrapped, actually much better than even the pictures seem to show.

Cons: Seriously, I can't seem to find a single one!

Other Thoughts: I love this thing! Tossed together a low watt gaming rig consisting of: i5 2500 (@ 3.3GHz, no intention of overclocking), MSI GTX460 Hawk, 8GB G.SKILL Sniper DDR3 1333, and a Biostar H61MGC micro atx mobo, along with my trusty Intel SSD. The included 500w PSU handles things without breaking a sweat. If the thing didn't have lights, I wouldn't know it was on. Its fast, its cool, and a lot more portable than your average tower. Apevia knocked this one out of the park!

5 out of 5 eggsBest Design I Have Seen

Pros: Efficient design, easy access, attractive, quality power supply; perfect.

Cons: Usually quiet.

Other Thoughts: I purchased one with the Blue front, and one with the Red front. They seem identical, but Blue seems to report warmer temperatures and the fans run a little louder. Still quieter than other cases I have tried that fit on my desktop, I would not have noticed it if Red wasn't even cooler & quieter.

3 out of 5 eggsNice small case but look a little bit flimsy

Pros: Look nice, come with a 500w transformer, lightweight

Cons: Cover (steel and plastic too thin, unlike the Smilodon i owned) . The case overall look a little bit fragile.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor power supply

Pros: The case looks good! The carrying handle is nice! Plenty of room!

Cons: The power supply is very cheap! Ever since building this system 18 months ago it has had issues with blue screens, crashes, etc. About a month ago the power supply started making a loud 'squealing' kind of noise and no it wasn't the fan. I replaced the power supply with a Corsair brand and the noise is gone AND the crashes all stopped. And no the power supply wasn't overloaded, the system uses well below the rated power specifications of the power supply.

When the cover is off of the case it's very flimsy, but seems to firm up well enough once assembled.

The Aluminum bracket had to be modified to make room for the PCI-e power connector for the 9800GTX video card. Luckily some tin snips and pliers took care of that problem.

While the front temp display may seem nice, the temp probes are very poor quality and and accuracy is pretty poor. I have mine disconnected altogether.

Other Thoughts: Not the best quality but not bad for the price.. just get the cheaper one with the lower wattage power supply and purchase a better quality power supply to use with it. Don't plan on any kind of reliability with the power supply that comes with it.

4 out of 5 eggsCute, flimsy box

Pros: The case itself is fairly light. The stock fans are all pretty quiet. Has room for 2 double-wide, extra long video cards. I've got quite a bit of equipment stuffed into this box -- not much room left over, but you can definitely fit everything needed into this box. The case itself looks fairly sexy.

Cons: Entire chasis is made out of fairly thin sheet-metal - in fact it's probably the flimsiest case I've ever seen. There is not much reinforcement between the front and the back faces of the machine. The front plastic bezel seems very fragile.

There's not a lot of clearance for the CPU fan, so be very careful with aftermarket coolers I have remove the fan from my heatsink before the mobo-tray will slide in/out. (And I can't get the cpu-fan without remove the gfx card, and I can't remove the gfx card w/o removing the power-supply. Yeah...)

The temperature's on the front lcd are feed from external probes that you have to position. I had hoped it might actually show the BIOS reported temperatures instead.

Other Thoughts: Based on the price, I have a hard time believing the power-supply is of much quality. I would have much rather had the case only, and not have to pay for the power supply. Based on the build-quality, this case could probably have been half the price. I ended up needing a 600W power supply anyway, so I had to upgrade it.

I bought a COOLER MASTER GeminII S RR-CCH-PBU1-GP 120mm fan for the CPU, and it's about 5mm too tall to fit properly in the case. I was able to use a hacksaw to clear a little more space to allow the fan to fit (didn't seem to affect structural strength much).

This was a replacement for an older model barebones-shuttle case. I would say shuttle cases have a much higher level of engineering, design and construction in a much smaller footprint. That said, I don't think I could run gfx card I wanted in any of the shuttle cases, so it's a tradeoff.

4 out of 5 eggsExactly what I wanted

Pros: Great case that is small and portable, but still large enough for some expansion. Great if you need to move the case around as the handle is very convenient.

Cons: Cramped, and has problems getting rid of heat. This case is not designed for extreme components such as SLI or Crossfire.

Other Thoughts: I had the original XQPack and this one is better by far. It uses more standard components that are arranged better, and just generally feels like it is higher quality. However the power supply was totally worthless. It died after less than 2 years and was constantly giving me problems. Factor in the cost of another power supply if you buy this.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: Nice Case... a bit bigger than I expected but its well built and has a strong handle. Temp sensors are a nice touch. Power Supply and fans are pretty quiet. Nice rubber feet on the bottom.

Cons: Power Supply cables could be allot shorter... this is small case to it does not need cables twice the length of the case & it sure don't need two power connectors for Floppy drives.

Other Thoughts: I'm unable to use the sliding drawer feature for the MOBO, but that's not Apevia's fault. My choice of MOBO has the audio header all the way on the rear of the board wedged between the x16 slot and the read audio outputs. So I can only slid the board out enough to make the connection with a long pair of needle nose pliers.

4 out of 5 eggsApevia - X-QPACK2-BL/500

Pros: Great little case. Apevia builds a decent product and NewEgg always excels at price, shipping and customer support.

Cons: Considering the price of this unit, was somewhat disappointed that the 120mm uv blue fan in the ps was not an led fan (one egg off). Also, but not nearly as disappointing, there is an 80mm fan at the front of the case under the 5.25" bays that is also uv blue, but not an led fan. Figured there would be an abundance of bling since it is so convenient for a lan box.

Other Thoughts: Should have a blue led fan in the ps and at the front of the case. Interior should be blue or black anodized, then you'd have an exceptional product.

3 out of 5 eggsLike the trapper keeper of cases

Pros: It's one cool case, not as in hip, but as in temp. 3 fans total, front, rear, and on the power supply, plus a ton of vents. Very light. You can see all the guts! The LEDs on the rear fan are bright, it's also possible to see the LAN led's. Not sure if those are pros... Anyway, the case works, the power supply is good enough, and it definately sticks out. The handle is nice, but feels a bit...weak. The slide out mobo tray is nice. Can fit two HDDs but I would only use one optical drive or your wire management will become impossible. I use the spare optical drive slot to store all the unused power wires, which there are a lot.

Cons: Very thin metal, makes the case lighter, but it's very easy to bend. The top cover was almost impossible to remove the first time, but then it got easier. The clear windows scratch very easily, the case is a lot bigger than it looks. There is only two SATA type power connectors! Not much room for a tall CPU cooler. Check the specs, but I think 100 might be the max.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend for HT, LEDs bright, and the case is huge, but quiet. Once the whole thing is assembled, it feels sturdy enough, but not to the point where I would carry it by the handle alone. Two hands for sure. The temp sensors read about 3 or 4 degrees cooler than actual on the CPU. My wife thinks it's ugly as sin.

Manufacturer Response:

The maximum height for the CPU heatsink/fan is around 3.5-4", which would mean nothing more than 90-100mm will fit.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor

Pros: Nice Looking case and portable looking. Power supply worked ok with a Foxconn mini atx motherboard. Newegg Rocks as always! Fast shipping.

Cons: Pick it up by the front handle and the front cover will rip right off and tear the front wiring right off! No secure attaching of the front cover! Front chrome handle is useless for carrying the unit. Front Fan no leds, cheap! Will never buy one of these again!

Other Thoughts: Why no front cover attaching screws? Poor design for being a portable unit.

Manufacturer Response:

The X-Qpack2 model case uses two screws to hold the front panel to the case body.

3 out of 5 eggsPower Supply Worthless

Pros: Nice Case for HTPC, but......

Cons: Apevia needs to either produce these cases without the Power Supply or put an updated Power Supply in it. Most good mATX Motherboards nowadays require an 8 pin (P8) connector for CPU Power. The Power Supply in it now is basically useless.

Other Thoughts: I believe it should come with at least a 550 or 650 watt that has a P4/8 connector for CPU.

Manufacturer Response:

There are a lot of motherboards (standard as well as Micro ATX) that require only a 4-pin connector. Also, you should be able to power a motherboard with an 8-pin connector using the included power supply and purchasing a 4pin-8pin adapter cable is another way that can power your system.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: Looks great, fits where I want it, cools efficiently, easy set up and just enough space.

Cons: Wiring could have some way to hide/route it better to make the insides look better. Other than that I don't have anything bad to say.

Other Thoughts: Didn't have any fitment issues as some mentioned. PNY Nvidia 9800 GT+ fit perfectly amd I don't have any issues with heat at all but I'm using a low power Chip and Board combo.

3 out of 5 eggsOverall good

Pros: Nice case, Been useing these for all media center builds.
Good power supplys.

Cons: Several of the cases have come shipped with the rear fan itself laying at bottom of case detached from its houseing. Someone obviously asleep instead of correctly installing the C clip.
While I enjoy the lighted fan, it was not cost effective to RMA for a 10 part.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good case, QC should be done more throughly.

5 out of 5 eggsWon't stop staring at me!

Pros: Holds every thing you need and fits in places that a tower won't. 6 months and not a single problem! Love the seperate motherboard tray. I've spent this much for a power supply and the one that was included tested out better than any that I've paid for! Three clear sides! Add a few black lites, some floresent cables, a few led fans and it will look like a ride at Disneyland!

Cons: My "Butterfly"cpu cooler wouldn't fit w/o cutting a rail. Power supply has been too good to replace, (have an old PowMax 580 Demon that didn't self-destruct, would look good in there and would fit too). No fan speed controler or backlit logo on front like other apiva cases (I like flashy). Wish I had gotten a red one instead (not flashey enough).

Other Thoughts: Put a Sytrin harddrive cooler/case in the top slot and a couple of Cooler Master SLC-S41-U1 chipset fans on the MB, looks like Walley in the dark. You'd be surprised what you can squeeze into one of these. Wish they made something like this for an atx.

4 out of 5 eggsQpack2

Pros: Small, looks good

Cons: The front panel isn't grounded properly and it shocks you when you touch the case most of the time. Very flimsy metal used on the motherboard tray. Price is a bit much

Other Thoughts: It was pretty difficult fitting everything inside, but I've got it all now.

5 out of 5 eggsSo queit its hard to tell when its on

Pros: This is a well designed case. Looks incredible and its so quiet!!! I build PCs for a living and this is one of the quietest cases Ive ever bought.

Cons: The noise level alone makes up for any other shortcomings this case may have.

Other Thoughts: If you have all SATA disk-drives there will be no problem with the power supply placement.

5 out of 5 eggsGood upgrade from X-Qpack (1)

Pros: These are the primary differences I see between X-Qpack and X-Qpack2:
- Takes standard ATX power supply (the original used a proprietary form factor), so you can upgrade to a larger one, if needed.
- Metal carry-handle instead of the old plastic one. The old one never had any problems, I was just always more concerned about it.
- Sleeker look and better color (I had the blue of the original and the blue of the X-QPack2)

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: I'd really like a smaller version of this case make for miniITX.

Pros: Good looking case. Very easy to set up and work with.

Cons: Front fan came defective (had to spend an extra 10 for a replacement. Front audio jacks did not work either. also the front usb ports (wich are said to be 2.0 are not) are useless.

Pros: small/three side window, supplied psuw/2 rails/temp monitor mobo tray aesthetically pleasing. handles atx psu/the handle is solid and makes transport easy. most of the case is aluminum. vents all over the place so a single high volume exhaut fan can really haul/my cooler master cpu sink fit no problem@75 mm.

Cons: no way you can use 6 molex and two floppy connectors from the psu. front header connectors are too short to install them while the tray is out. tray is a touch on the flimsy side. For the mentioned reasons cable management is difficult. audio connector doesn't specify ac97 or high def(it's ac 97)supplied fans are ummm....pretty? the cable problems would have been been avoided by going 3 molex 4 sata. that is what cost them an egg.

Other Thoughts: dumped the stock 120 for a Scythe 125 cfm 38 mm.sound for me is not a problem. I'll upgrade the psu as funds permit. the flimsy tray feels pretty solid after install and the cable management will have to wait until then. got this delivered for 90$ sorry egg you don't price match. Do your homework if your a drive junkie or a serious overclocker this is not your case.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Little Case

Pros: Lightweight, portable, can accommodate 3 HDD's, mobo tray makes build easier, 80mm front and 120mm rear case fans, LCD temp display on front of case, fingerprint-resistant finish on aluminum.

Cons: Low wattage/current power supply and low-speed fans not suitable for some CPU/build combos, may be difficult to use longer modular PSU's, thin metal, handle is attached to the plastic faceplate and not to the metal frame, sharp burrs on thumbscrews need to be filed down. Plastic rivets securing windows sometimes aren't flush but can be pushed back in.

Other Thoughts: Accommodating 3 HDD's was important for me, and having an empty 5" bay under my DVD drive was really useful for stowing excess PSU cabling.

I needed a bigger PSU and found that the 700W OCZ ModXstream, while longer than the stock PSU, is just short enough to clear the rear of the DVD drive. Be careful with longer modular PSUs.

I replaced the stock case fans to keep the Core I7 920 cool. My rig weighed in at 18 pounds. Be careful using the handle, its steel but supports all the weight by hanging on to the plastic faceplate. The faceplate in turn is attached to the metal frame using 4 plastic clips and two small screws.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Case

Pros: Perfect case for my uses. As a college student, I tend to be on the move often, so a case that can transport easily is great. The handle is nice, though I don't fully trust it.

It looks FANTASTIC!

Cons: Short wires. There's only one power connector for a graphics card, but at the same time, there really isn't room for a new big graphics card.

I'm considering upgrading my PSU anyway, so these concerns may not even affect me at all.

Other Thoughts: Stuck a GA-EG41M-US2H in this case. Went in great. Works great. Any complaints that I have aren't really big concerns for me. Make sure you look at the specs before you buy. I picked this case because it was the one for me. It may not be for everyone.

5 out of 5 eggsBest of the small.

Pros: Had this thing about 15 months now, no problems. Lightweight aluminum helps with heat. Quiet fans. Fits a large Zalman heatsink on my processor, and an ATI 4670 no problem. I recently squeezed a PCI cooler in it as well (see below). It is NOT flimsy, as I have rebuilt my rig at least 5 times in it already, no problems. Everyone loves the way this thing looks.

Cons: I would buy another but the price is quite a bit higher than what I paid here back in March of '08. Could use one more intake fan in the front. Clear plastic scratches easily. The power supply would be better if it had a neater cabling solution.

Other Thoughts: Fans were keeping it cool enough until I started overclocking my Kuma and ATI 4670 under full load. My simple solution was that I added a PCI exhaust fan, and it sucks the heat right out. The temperature sensors are nice, but not very easy to secure to your heatsinks. Not sure why anyone would want to put one on a hard drive. I put that one either on my northbridge or my gpu heatsink.

3 out of 5 eggsbad psu

Pros: great case love the features and the look

Cons: psu died about a week into use and same happened to a friend that ordered the same case. for the price i fiqured the psu would not last more than a year but a week is just ridiculous.

Other Thoughts: great space fit my ati radeon 4850 fine. also the tray sliding out for instalation is awsome

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the power supply to get an exchange on the PSU if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice case

Pros: Looks sharp, reasonably well built. Very cool CPU/HDD temp monitor built in to the front of the case. Fans are quiet and the temps (Core i7 920)are very low. Case is laid out well. Nice color blue on front panel. Power supply is nearly silent and has all its cables nicely wrapped in black sheathing. Cable lengths are good for front panel stuff, p/s cables might even be a little too long for a matx case. Comes with 2 temp probes that can be mounted anywhere.

Cons: Not much here, but to pick a few nits; Some sharp edges on the aluminum. Some items must be disassembled/reassembled in order due to form factor. Biggest thing I don't like are the chassis fan connectors, which have the large 4 pin molex plugs. C'mon Apevia, all the rigs I have built in the last 5+ year have all had the small chassis fan connectors built into the motherboard for fan monitoring and software based speed control. The large 4 pin must plug into the power supply cables, bypassing any MOBO control. Then you have a LONG daisy chained tangle of dissimilar wires and plugs to stuff/hide in the case.

Other Thoughts: I really like this case. It arrived nicely packed, well laid out and looking sharp. With 3 clear plex windows on the top and each side, you will probably want to spend a little extra time tidying up the cables a little. A REALLY nice touch would have been for the power supply to come with removable cables so you wouldn't have to stash the extras away because this is a small box. While everything fit, Apevia didn't go out of their way to slot the drive mounting holes, so some components might be a tight fit or even an issue. Case feels a tad wobbly until you put the outer housing on. Cool chrome carrying handle on front that's spring loaded.

4 out of 5 eggsSome to be desired

Pros: Looks amazing
Solid Power Supply
Aluminum Construction
Great cooling
Very solid handle

Cons: APEVIA has a few minor quality control problems. one of the two screw mounts to hold the motherboard tray was stripped on arrival so i cant carry my case around by the handle, not that its leaving my desk anyways. Also the LED's in the 80mm fan stopped working 3 hours after i turned my new machine on... $6 replacement fan was easier than RMA

Other Thoughts: For what i paid and the looks/performance of the case i would absolutely buy more cases from this series. It would be nice if it was perfect but i feel the great features outweigh the minor imperfections.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Case

Pros: Beautiful Desktop Case; Small fits easly on my desk; Comes with adequate power supply; HD & CPU temp monitor; fairly easly assembly; Blue LED rear fan; More than enough cooling for me. My Corsair 550watt psu will fit although I did not use it.

Cons: The only real con is the rear fan is a little loud but it pulls a lot of air. Wish it had 2 front fans; Front fan is mounted on right side and does not blow directly on south bridge and GPU although this does not seem to be a problem as the PSU is mounted above the GPU and helps cool it. Mounting screws for HD cage stripped out and had to put nuts and bolts on it. Front panel is hard to get off, 2 small screws are located under the floppy drive bay. If you need to take the front panel off you have to completly disassembly the PC.

Other Thoughts: The first time I put it together I could not get it to come on No Power. Thought PSU was bad and tryed my Corsair and still nothing. Dissasmebled and started all over agin and found I had missed pluged the USB connector for my Card Reader. Up and running now. Added an OCZ Ram Cooler I had laying around just for show. Have 2 DVD burners, Card Reader and 2 HD mounted and works great. Had a few assembly problems that were my own fault. Still think this is a great case. Will probably buy another soon as my family sees it.

3 out of 5 eggsok

Pros: looks cool will save on room, can put on my tv stand. easy set up. like the temp gage

Cons: the power suply is junk. Wy did it require a sigature for ups deliv, they came three times wile i was at work. had to go pic it up. paid 20 to have it shiped. I have had 400$ lcds left in the drive way.

Other Thoughts: waiting on new power suply. this will be my 3rd one in 2 weeks. think it might be better to buy them at the store so you can take them back tell you get agood one

5 out of 5 eggsReally Nice Case

Pros: Very attractive case. Nice layout. This was my first SFF case and I was pleased. As everyone is saying, it's a little thin but tread with care and no problems. The looks are a definite plus and the slide out m/b tray is a must. Install your optical while the HDD tray is out. It held a 9600GSO no problem. The PSU will handle one high end card plus standard equipment and is solid. The blue fan on back is a nice aesthetic touch. The triple see through sides are cool. It seems to cool well. An 80 in the front and 120 in the back with the PSU fan, its seems to move plenty of air. I haven't seen a heating problem yet. The carry handle is a lot more solid than some reviews suggest. I had no reservations about carrying it by the handle once it was assembled.

Cons: It's not really a con for me but it is a little thin. You have to support with one hand while you move with the other. Once the case is assembled then it isn't an issue. Only during the build will you notice the thin. Being since it's aluminum, it moves heat away from the source so it's a con I can live with. Don't depend on the temp sensors. They make for a nice display up front but I'm not convinced of their accuracy.

Other Thoughts: This was a simple build. It consists of a Gigabyte G41 Intel board, an E5200 processor, 2gb of OCZ Gold RAM and an EVGA 9600GSO GPU. The optical is a Samsung and the HDD is a WD Caviar 320gb. It has been an easy build with little problems and the wife loves it. The thing scores easily in the mid 9's with 3D'06. Nothing crazy but it looks nice and she likes it and that scores points for me.

3 out of 5 eggsA good looking case.

Pros: The case looks really nice. Power supply and case fans are quiet. Front handle is fairly sturdy. The case feels solid when it is assembled.

Cons: The cover is very flimsy when removed. For the price they could have used better material. Some of the screw holes look like they were hand drilled and tapped. The temp lcd on mine doesn't light up (haven't really taken the time to figure out why). To slide out the motherboard tray, almost lead from the front panel needs to be unplugged.

Other Thoughts: Once it is all put together and running, it looks nice. If you are the kind of person that can not leave "good enough" alone, this case is not for you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Nice small compact size just what I was looking for. The 500 Watt psu works great. The 2 fans provided with case work great air flow that helps keep everything cool. The front usb, Fire wire, and audio ports worked like a charm.

Would I buy another case like this "YES"

Cons: The screws provided for the hard drive "Toss them" buy new ones. the screws provided are self taping and have a triangle shape and tend to strip out the threads.

Replace the screws for the motherboard tray, and the cover they tend to strip out also. I bought the big thumb screws.

If you plan on opening the case over and over again, don`t buy it put the case together and leave it alone and it will be great.

A little compact wile trying to put the psu wires on the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Its a great case, its not made for some one that cant make up there mind and keep playing around with it. put it together once tie up the wires, get everything going and then close it up, and then leave it alone...

5 out of 5 eggsFunctionable

Pros: I like the color.
Holds an ATI HD3870 graphic card no problem
Seems quite sturdy after filling up all the bays.

Cons: HDD bracket screws stripped.
Required to extract tapped rivets and install with nuts & bolts.

Other Thoughts: This is my third one of this kind of case.
All aluminum, ideal for transporting wherever.
Don't expect it to be as solid as a 0.8mm steel case.
I feel there is no need to have a window on the top. If you
decide to place objects on the top, after time, would scratch the clear plastic.

4 out of 5 eggsThin but Sufficiant

Pros: The case is compact and easily carried, as I wanted. I also wanted to have 2 front 5.25 bays, which was the deciding factor in this case. The power supply has a nice cable assortment, not too long for the size of the case. The internal bracing as well as the shroud help to stiffen the case once fully assembled. The case has very nice venting on the front and sides, allowing for a very uniform air flow though the case. I took the temperature sensors and stuck them into the heat sinks of my Video card and power regulators, because the rest of the case was too cold to worry about.

Cons: The metal does indeed feel "flimsy" but that is mostly due to the very thin metal used (mostly for weight purposes). There are several key areas that I would have either welded or riveted together to provide a stiffer case, namely the four bottom corners. The Motherboard tray only uses two screws to fasten in, using the overlapping shroud for the rest of it. The position of the power supply makes it necessary to either remove the PSU or slide the motherboard tray out entirely to get the expansion cards out. I found the more cramped area was in the front when I was hooking up Floppy, CDROM and Audigy Drive. It would be nice if the fans had connectors for the onboard controllers, with adapters for the Molex. The front panel Audio cable is almost too short, seems how most Mobos have the audio connector in the back, not the front. Same with the Firewire, but my mobo doesn't have Firewire. PSU is insufficient to power a Quad core as well as a Higher end video card.. even a 7950GX2

Other Thoughts: Half tempted to add another screw to the bottom near the front of the mobo Tray to secure it better.. Will need a shorter CD-Rom for a full size PSU. If you want somthing built like a tank at the expense of a 5.25 bay and ease of HDD replacement and maybe another hundred bucks, go with a Fragbox, other than that, this case has all I could ask for. Oh.. They /really/ should make the Audio with an HD Audio plug as well.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case, with slight issues.

Pros: These cases are nice. I just purchased this one to replace my older version of the similar model. There is quite a bit of space, especially for a micro ATX case. The layout gives you a lot of different options for system set ups. There is also enough room from front to back to easily accommodate large graphics cards.

Cons: One issue I had with this case was that the CPU and HDD temperature readout was dead, but since that wasn't really that important to me it really wasn't a big deal. Another issue pertains to graphics cards. It has enough space to accommodate almost any card, my 9800gt fit without any trouble in my old case and this one. The issue is that I upgraded to a GTX 280. With a lot of the GTX cards the power connectors are on the top of the card, and with this case you will not have room to plug the power in because of how close it comes to the drive bay on top. I had to cut a hole in the bottom of the drive bay to feed the power cord through in order to power my graphics card.

Other Thoughts: Despite the issues I enjoy this case. It looks sleek, it is easily transportable, and it accommodates most hardware.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

Pros: This case has a good amount of space for airflow for being a "cube case" computer. For a space saver build this is perfect. Nice to have 3 windows. Power supply has 2 sata plugs and plenty of 4 pin plugs which is nice. The case is sturdy and solid when it is together. Cpu and Hard drive temperature gauge. Motherboard tray slides out to make assembly a breeze.

Cons: The outer panel feels really flimsy when it is off the case. The space is pretty tight to work on while the motherboard is inside the case. This case pretty much requires a loom job for the wires, which can take its tolls on your hands. Not a whole lot of room for cold cathode tubes. I recommend either a 10" or smaller. While a 12" logisys can fit it is a tight fit and you will have to either have them on the same side or find a way to glue one to the left side support bar (clear rtv works wonders).

Other Thoughts: I read that other owners were having issues with the cooling so I got the highest flowing 80mm and 120 mm for my case. If you go that route get a fan speed controller, because it will scream at full speed.

1 out of 5 eggsPEICE OF JUNK!!!

Pros: IT HOLDS MY HARDWARE. FRONT LOOKS NICE.

Cons: THIS THING IS THE FLIMSIEST PIECE OF JUNK I EVER LAID EYES ON. YOU DONT WANT THE WIND TO BLOW WHEN YOU TAKE THE COVER OFF CAUSE IT WILL FOLD LIKE PAPER! AND THE MAJORITY OF "ALUMINUM" IN IT IS THE LOWEST GRADE IM SURE YOU CAN MIX AND THEN IM SURE THEY THREW SOME PLASTIC INTO THE ALLOY WHEN MAKING THE SLURRY. MINE CAME WITH A BENT MOTHERBOARD TRAY THAT WOULDNT HOLD A IO PLATE SO NEEDED TO EXTREMELY CAREFULLY MOVE IT BACK TO SHAPE. AND PAINT HERE AND THERE HAS COME OFF, IT IS THINNER THAN THE THINNIST OF PAINT MEMBRANES, WHEN THE WIND BLOWS THE COVER IN HALF IM SURE IT WILL TAKE HALF THE PAINT TOO!!

Other Thoughts: I HAVE PLENTY OF THEM BUT HAVE ALREADY WASTED ENOUGH TIME ON THIS REVIEW. FOR THE PRICE YOU WOULD EXPECT BETTER, SO KEEP LOOKING. AND THE PROBLEMS I ENCOUNTERED, WHAT AM I GONNA DO.....SCREW MY HARDWARE TO A WALL WHILE I WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR AN RMA TO EVENTUATE. WOULD HAVE DONE SO IF THERE WERE ANY MORE ISSUES BUT FORTUNATELY I CAN FIX & DEAL WITH IT. AS I SAID "PIECE OF JUNK".....NEXT!

5 out of 5 eggs"Boxie"

Pros: Nice cool setup, easy to install, very easy. Easiest of the 8 computers I have ever built for my family. Son named it "Boxie"

Cons: Thiner than I thought, and felt flimsiers when apart, but together it is very solid

Other Thoughts: This was sold locally for 30 dollars more, and I sat in the store for 25 mins before I left, having talked to NO ONE who even cared if I wanted to buy. This business is going to go out of business due to poor customer service. not even a 'hello, be right with you, despite glances of all 5 who worked there. The look was, "hope this guy leaves'...

@ Newegg, I was able to read comments, check specs, link to websites, check other products, all from the comfort of my home. Sure Shipping cost me a bit more, but still saved money using Newegg...

Thanks

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Small form factor, Mother Board Tray (see cons)

Cons: Mother Board tray is easy to bend it's thin aluminum. I order this in the BLUE version. When I received it it was Marked as being Blue on the Box, However when opening the box, It turns out to be a dark Purplish color. My wife actually liked it better than the blue she thought she was getting.

Other Thoughts: Its a great case considering the price and what you get.

5 out of 5 eggsLove It!!!

Pros: Love the size of this thing, small, compact, portable. I like the style of the case, fits my personality per-se. Very very good ventalation, haven't had any heat problems so far since installation. Also I was afraid of the case scrubbing across the top of my vid card or hitting my CPU fan that came with the processor, but to tell you the truth, it clears it like butter. Has enough space to slide right under the edges. Now however I will say this, whoever is planning on using an aftermarket jumbo CPU cooler, forget it, doesn't have enough space for it.

Cons: As far as this goes, was a little bugged that I was able to see that the temperature display on the front was changeable from centigrade to fahrenheit but didn't know how to do that. Found out that if you do go to their website they give you detailed instructions on how to switch it. I managed to do it in 2 steps without removing the front panel. If you look right in the area of the display behind it, there is a circle opening there. Just find a screwdriver and flip the switch from there.

1 out of 5 eggsBAD!!

Pros: Good look.

Cons: The Thumb screw came stripped out, Very thin metal, the case panel wouldnt side into place so i had to slide it up were it went and put thumb screws in to hold the sides in. Also had a grounding problem and would restart my computer when i touched the front of the case on the blue metal peice.

Other Thoughts: Wouldnt recommend this case at all, i RMAed it and got a antec in its place.

Manufacturer Response:

If you are having problems with a short when touching the metal on the front panel, that can be fixed. There should be a small black wire ending in a metallic loop. You would need to ground the wire to the back of the front panel by screwing it in one of those holes. If you need to have a picture sent for clarification, you can contact service@apevia.com.

4 out of 5 eggsEh...

Pros: The cooling that this case can offer is great! I was seeing temps anywhere from 25c (idle) to 35c (load). It even seemed to do really good with a video card. My Galaxy KFA2 9500GT would run at about 40c (idle) to 45-50c (load). The PSU on the other hand...

Cons: ...I am extremely upset with, for the most part. When it was working, it was great, but just after my one year warranty ran up, the 120mm fan in it died. I'd like to replace the fan, but I'm not sure how much damage the PSU has taken, and this disappoints me to no end. I'm using a spare PSU I have, but would like to use the Apevia PSU again.

Other Thoughts: Other than the 120mm fan, the PSU is really good. I'd love Apevia to replace the PSU for free, with shipping on me, but I'm sure that wouldn't happen. I would definitely recommend at least the case, though. It only comes with a 120mm fan for the back of the case, so you'll have to buy your own 80mm for the front (for intake), but that's no big deal.

Cons: here i am 6 days till christmas and ups smashed the corner to the point it dented the whole back in (see the flimsey reviews) the metal is thin but jeez its a computer case it would be fine if newegg put it in another box besides the retail box give it more protection

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: -case is large enough for a large size graphics adapter.
-construction is sturdy enough to take from place to place.
-standard power supply size.
-case size (small is good in my opinion).
-temperature monitoring on case front.
-handle feels sturdy. I can actually carry it around by it without worrying about it falling off.
-good ventilation (even with included fans).

Cons: -included power supply is just a bit weak for my build. I replaced it with a higher wattage standard size power supply.
-the paint is a little bit rough, and therefore gathers dust and is hard to keep clean looking.
-1 hard drive bay.

Other Thoughts: Excellent case. Probably the best case that you can get in this size. I wouldn't however, buy any case in this size if I didn't have the need for it to be semi-portable.

4 out of 5 eggsGood mini case

Pros: Good case for the price, excellent looks, easy to work in considering the size. Power supply is more than adequate and has all the connectors I needed. Removable motherboard tray an excellent feature; installing the components would have been incredibly difficult without it. Installing in this case was almost as easy as a regular mid-tower. Stock fans are quiet. Enough room to install a full size video card. Excellent case to build a LAN gaming box!

Cons: The stock fans are not able to be connected to a motherboard controller. I would like to have more than 2 SATA power connectors. While I would avoid words like "chintzy", the case material could stand to be a shade thicker. You will want to be a bit cautious as you are installing components to avoid bending the motherboard tray.

Other Thoughts: Some comments have been made regarding the color; the unit I received was pretty much the same color as in the Newegg product photo, which I would describe as electric blue. You'll want to be careful when you pick a CPU fan, as any fan more than 73mm high won't fit. There seems to be a misconception that the front 80mm intake fan is supposed to be lit; it isn't. It's just a blue tinted fan with no LEDs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooling, Excellent Looks

Pros: Before I had built my new computer, I was a bit of a novice when it came to cooling. Let me just say that this case provides GREAT cooling. Yes, the Heatsink/Fan may have a bit to do with cooling your CPU, but I've found with this case that so does what you put the guts into.

I have yet to see my CPU temperatures go near 40*C, and my GPU stays between 40*-50*C (Idle-Active). I tried my parts in a different case, and found out that was a big mistake.

I would highly, highly, highly, highly, highly recommend this case to anyone, as long as you're building a MATX computer. Oh, and some small form optical drives.

Cons: Dust buildup. That's about it. What computer doesn't that happen to, though?

Other Thoughts: The handle is a great feature great if you're a gamer on the go.

4 out of 5 eggsNice.. But tight..

Pros: this case has a feel to it.. I wasn't sure about buying it, BUT once i got it built, it turned out o.k.. Nice blue glow from the fans.. which could be switched out for a different color. The power supply has wrapped power cables which is always nice!

Cons: 1 problem for sure is were the dvd drive goes.. DO NOT GET A IDE drive. get the SATA one or u will fight the drive the whole way in.. there isn't much room for the old school cables..

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for a friend who wanted me to build him a computer with out taking much space... I would not get this for my self.. But if you like small.. This is 1 of the nicer ones I've seen.. OH.. Heat can be a problem with this case.. I would recommend not using this case for gaming...

Pros: excellent little case! perfect for anyone who doesn't have alot of space, or may need to move it around.

Cons: vents on the front push in easy so you need to be careful. Temperature reads off a bit and the probes break easy can not be fixed that I know of.

Other Thoughts: Lost an egg for cons listed

5 out of 5 eggsBlurple?

Pros: It's not blue, it's not purple, I am not sure what you would call it. The color does not clash with the black drives I installed, just a very strange color. The case layout is okay for most matx mobos, with a little room to spare. Insure you get the shortest CPU cooler you can get to clear all the upper level brackets, plates, and drives up on top of this case. The temp display is a nice add to any case, not sure how accurate it is, but it should be fine.

Cons: Be gentle with the cover, especially when it is removed from the case! This thing wil bend or kink with the slightest of ease!

Other Thoughts: Nice light case with a contemporary design that should make most LAN party goers happy. It is unique in appearance, and very functional for the most avid system builders.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: Very good looking, light case. Small and compact.

Cons: Case was shipped from cali. took awhile to get it. When I did get it and hooked it up the cpu temp lcd was broken. Dont feel like taking everything out and waiting another 4 days. I just ate this one.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good case. I will be buying more.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: Great price, easy to work with, very sexy design.
Rear fan really moves a lot of air.

Cons: I can imagine it might be a little tight for certain components. Everything I have fit fine though.

It's a little noisy but not too bad.

Front 80MM Fan LEDs were DOA - not that important to me since the fan itself moves air just no lights.

Other Thoughts: Very pleased with case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case bad shipping

Pros: Looks like a good case, i have some apevia fans and they have been great, so that should be good.(im putting my 120mm server fan in the back tho.) The case if very light weight and ittl b a good case for lan partays!!

Cons: Shipped in "ORIGINAL" packaging! So the case has something in common with my Grand Marquis the back was pushed in, and like my car its aluminum so i just bent it back but thats not good. Wont have any details on it till later when the rest arrives. My other package with the board and hard drives are sitting in NJ still since being shipped on the 1st and its the 7th. Bad shipping!

Other Thoughts: I live in michigan, On the northern border of Wisconsin. I got the package from California faster than the one from New Jersey!!!
Specs:
C2D e6600, ASUS P5E-VM (once i get it currently Gigabyte p965-DS3), 4gb patriot extreme ddr2 800 x4 1gb sticks, 2x 500gb seagates and 1x 160gb western digital, E-POWER 550 watt (THE BEST PSU IVE EVER HAD!), x1950xt 256mb

1 out of 5 eggsShould have bought the Antec

Pros: I was looking for a cube case and this one had an internal floppy drive bay which I needed and the Antec did not. It is well laid out and provides very good ventilation at low fan RPM even in a warm room.

Cons: The construction of this case is very poor and uses very light gauge aluminum for the motherboard tray and the case itself and is easily bent if you are not extremely careful. Also, after only a few months the color began to fade. The case also has a very poor electrical ground - a simple static discharge causes the whole computer to shutdown!!

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome case...as long as you aren't building.

Pros: Case looks FANTASTIC when it is all closed up. The front aluminum panel looks great...some people are complaining about how the blue looks more purple (or "blurple) but I love it...it matches the UV lights that I put in there PERFECTLY.

A LOT of room, considering it is an mATX case. A solid 2-3 inches between the edge of the motherboard tray and the intake fan that sits in the front. You could likely fit one of the larger video cards in here...with some slight dremel work, you could likely put one of the big ones in here.

Only one intake (80mm) and exhaust (120mm) fan, but the way they are positioned in the case makes any other fans unnecessary. The 80mm intake blows directly over where the RAM and CPU is (it's level with the mobo tray), and the exhaust fan sits directly above where the CPU would be (and is right in line with the intake fan, just higher up.) The power supply sits directly over the PCI ports...all together, this case has awesome cooling efficiency.

Cons: Build quality is complete trash. The front aluminum panel is made well, but the same cannot be said for the rest of the case. Everything FEELS cheap (luckily, it doesn't LOOK cheap...just feels like it.) The removable motherboard tray is really easy to slide in and out, but it is quite possibly the flimsiest piece of metal I have EVER seen used in a case. I assure you, there will be blood letting.

Quality control on the case sucks as well. There were multiple holes I had to either make bigger, or "move" over by drilling new holes so that my stuff would line up properly. The worst one was the rectangle hole for the motherboard back plate...I had to dremel about half an inch to get it big enough so I could install the back port plate that my mobo came with in there!

Other Thoughts: Once it is assembled, this case looks awesome and does a great job. Even fully loaded, it is very light and very easy to move (I wouldn't trust the built in handle, though...make sure you use both hands to carry it.)

It may feel cheap when putting your system in, but it only feels that way...once it's done, it looks PHENOMINAL.

Also, if you plan on putting in lights, make sure you get either 4 or 6 inch cold cathode tubes...there is no way to get the full 12 inchers in there without them running across the windows. Plenty of places to hide the mini ones though.

Cable management is also very easy in this case, despite its small stature. As with any mATX case though, a modular power supply makes a HUGE difference...I highly recommend getting one if you are going to buy this case.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this case. It feels cheap and the quality control sucks, but if you have the patience to make the install you will have one slick looking system when done.

4 out of 5 eggsIs it Blue...or Purple :-)

Pros: Great case, very good internal layout for most (but not all) video cards. Firewire is nice for camcorder. Despite comments on flimsy cover (which it is, by itself) once assembled it makes for a very light case with plenty of room for just about everything (except maybe hardcore SLI gaming and chips needing a large fan/heatsink).

Cons: I bought one of these from Cyberpower and returned (not because of the equipment but because of poor service). It was absolutely BLUE. Just got my new one from NewEgg...100% PURPLE.There is apparently variation in different lots or suppliers, and unfortunately NewEgg cannot open boxes to verify the flavor prior to shipping. Bottom line I think you are rolling the dice if you want "blue". I'm returning mine for black, can't go wrong there!

Other Thoughts: Front audio/mic is AC97...if you plan on using with XFi card (which is IntelHD) you will have some issues. Most Mobos can be configured for either so I think the best bet is to use onboard sound for the front panel thru the mobo. All in all though great case!

Manufacturer Response:

Hey there Scott! Actually a previous review refers to it as being "blurple"! :p

I have attached a photo that I took of the front panel for customer reference. Please forgive the glare!

4 out of 5 eggsDecent portable case with some flaws

Pros: Small size, looks pretty cool, removable motherboard tray (makes life easier for sure!), built in carrying handle, like the way you mount the hard drive, and the engineers should be fairly proud. Comes with a decent power supply as well, and the price is good. Fairly quiet too.

Cons: First off, the front temperature display is plugged in to the power supply, but it does not work at all. I have not bothered to take it apart to find out why, but it SHOULD work out of the box. The fans that come with it are very weak, and only the larger of the two (120MM back) glows blue. That means one side is lit up, the other is dark and it does not cool very well. I ordered 2 better fans to fix this problem though. The removable top is very weak to the point where you need to be careful with it, and the glass scratches easily. Finally, the final touches to hook everything up can be tough just because it's a small case, if you cannot see well (or have big, clumsy hands) assembly is not going to be easy. Slowed me just a bit compared to a normal mid tower build. Still, that is the price you pay for the size, so it's not really a con.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for my girlfriend, as she is constantly bringing her computer from her house to mine so carrying a big case is silly. It's far from a perfect case, it would be nice if the fans both glowed and the temperature gauge worked right, and it's not perfect. I do question it's ruggedness, but so far so good. I think Apevia should offer mods for it, such as screens to replace the glass panels and such, I am thinking of doing some kind of mod like that myself, it would cool better and the scratches on the window make it look like an older case than it is. It should be noted the color is not purple, it's like an iridescent blue color. With a little more refinement Apevia will make this even better. (Xpack3 anyone?)

5 out of 5 eggsLight, good-looking case

Pros: It's' small; it's light; it has a matte finish save for the windows and the bezel, so fingerprints don't show as much. The removable motherboard tray gives hope to clumsy, large-fingered people like myself.

Cons: Today's world of insanely huge heatsink/fan combos means you have to be careful in your choices with this case. The case metal is pretty thin, and some edges aren't rounded off. The bezel is gloss, which one wouldn't think from the pictures.

Other Thoughts: The closest color I've seen to the bezel is "electric indigo"; I'm glad I didn't believe those who called it purple--my wife loves purple, and she would _not_ call this purple. I, OTOH, like the color a lot. More attention appears to have paid to details than on the mumble-mumble micro-ATX case I ended up using for my wife's new computer.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Case

Pros: The case is small, low-temp, and the case wires are a perfect length to reach any kind of motherboard which is a problem I have had with some Antec cases, hence my brand switch.

Cons: The handle broke when I picked the case up to put it on my bench with my other components to start the build. It has since eluded all attempts at repair and I gave up when my client told me that he had no use for the handle anyway, so I did my best to make it retract and left it alone.

Manufacturer Response:

Handle broke with nothing installed? Sounds like the case may have been handled by a 'delivery gorilla'. If the customer is ever interested in using the handle have him contact us.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it!

Pros: Very nice little case. Mine is pretty quite, like the blue led fans and seems to be well thought out. Not sure if I got lucky in my choice of MB, but the case seemed to "just work" when it came to running all the the wires and such. I did not find the case material 'flimsy' but I do agree that it could be a little thicker.

Cons: The only thing I can come up with is that the PSU is a little large for the case and the power wires come out right where your DVD ROM is, perhaps my DVD ROM is larger than the average, but I had to squish the power and IDE wires a little to make it fit.

The blue color of the case is very similar to my Linksys hub, if you have one of those, you know what color 'blue' it is. Not sure if that's a con for me.

Other Thoughts: I am using a P4 with an ABIT I-45CV and an x700 video card. Everything fit perfectly. I did buy a new CPU fan (ZeroTherm CF800) and it fit just under the rail (again, I think I got lucky), if you have a large fan, be ware, it may not fit in the case.

2 out of 5 eggsA promising prototype

Pros: A handy size if you want to put more than the minimal peripherals on a uATX motherboard. Light weight. Ventilation pretty good. Fit my ThermalTake Silent 939 CPU cooler (not a beast, but taller than the stock AMD one).

Cons: Power supply was DOA (or at least wouldn't light my motherboard, which is not a hungry one--Athlon X2 4600+ on ECS mobo with integrated video). I put in an old Antec 380W unit that has served me well. Color on aluminum front face scratches easily. Front USB and 1394 ports fit poorly, don't quite line up with face plate. Top cover lip was bent a bit by securing screws. Feels a bit flimsy and unfinished, inside and out.

Other Thoughts: Other than the PS, this thing is not bad but not great. Manufacturer should have removed the power supply from this product and spent those pennies on a better quality execution of a pretty good design. For example, since it has a handle on the front, why not find a way to put small rubber feet on the "back", which would become the bottom when you set the machine down handle-up.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: I have to say I was skeptical while this case was on its way to my house, not being sure that i should have of ordered it. It got here, i opened the box and wow! arrived just fine, no dents dings or scratches. Case is pretty small, looks very nice, and the front colored part is aluminum NOT PLASTIC which is a very nice touch. It is more purple than blue but still looks good. Leads me to beleive that all the colors that this case is available in are slightly off than what is advertised. But this case is nice. The blue led fan looks good especialy at night. decent cooling. My dual core cpu never get over 30 degree's celcius under load. the temperature probes work like they say they do and they are very sensitive to temperature change so your readout is very accurate

Cons: No cons

Other Thoughts: The case fans run very quiet. system stays cool inside depending on what hardware your running i guess, but with my setup is ok. the power supply is very good and has never failed at all.

3 out of 5 eggspretty but painful

Pros: Cute, compact, hard drive bay slides in well, motherboard slide mounts fine. It's definitely very pretty.

Cons: The front fan came DOA. The back cover was bent and it was a struggle to get the cover off. There is about 1" of room between the power supply and the back of an installed DVD-ROM. Don't know if this is the mobo or the case's fault but the HD LED front connector was not standard and I could not get it to work. Incredibly cramped, crowded, hard to work in, and the quality of the product is definitely dubious.

Other Thoughts: Quite honestly, I would've returned this as soon as I finished building it, but the thought of having to go back in there and pull everything back out was exhausting.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Its a nice compact pretty well designed case. I wanted something small that I could put near the big screen and use for games, music, and movies and this was perfect. Have a small Intel ATX MB with a 3G P4 Duo and a 7900GS card. Not generating a ton of heat but havent noticed any cooling issues. Big fan in the back is all I need, included PS is adequate for me and the slide out tray is perfect. Totally satisfied with this case.

Cons: I dont like the thermal sensors provided, one for HD and one for Proc. I was never able to apply them properly and the temp reading they showed was next to useless. Finally just put them to the side but I wish I could zero them out.

Other Thoughts: Silly but I like the see through case and the blue light glow.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Much Purple

Pros: It is spacious, looks cool with side windows. Allowed me to fit my G33 Gigabyte mobo and a 8800 GTX card.

Cons: It is very much purple. I still had to mod the case for my 8800 GTX. The GTX has power connection on the upper left part of the card so I had to cut the drive bay a bit. I would buy again just not this purple one.

Other Thoughts: I am just using my standard intel heatsink fan. The graphics card does get hot. I wish that they made a dual PCI-Express mobo that was micro. I bought a different power supply for my pc as i didn't want to have all these un wanted wires with the 500 watt power supply that they give you. The Ultra power supplies are a godsend with the modular cables. QX6850/XP MCE/8 GB 800 MHZ/BFG 8800 GTX OC2/ Soundblaster X-Fi Fatality

5 out of 5 eggslove it

Pros: Beautifully designed by a color blind Engineer.Great parts layout, plenty of room, nice lite design

Cons: fragile temp probes, not even close to blue(but I and everyone else allready knew that)

Other Thoughts: I dont regret buying this one bit! very nicely thought out design I was alittle concerned from reading the reviews but I would definitely buy this product again, although it does have a handle I would use caution on using this case for frequent moving

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: This case is absolutely fantastic. The other reviews mention heat being a problem, however I am having no issue (Intel 945G motherboard, GeForce 7600, etc). The case is easy to work with and looks impressive sitting on a desk. The 500w power supply is an outstanding option as well. LED temp readout on the front is bright and easy to read.

Cons: If I had to come up with a bad side it would be very trivial at best. I kind of wish the case was little brighter on the inside as far as the LED's go. Also, the metal is a thin aluminum there it feels a hair fragile.

Other Thoughts: This was my first Micro ATX build and I was very impressed. Although tough to build an "uber" computer in a small space, it still worked extremely well for my needs. I would recommend this case to anyone wanting to build a micro with a "croud pleasing" appearance.

4 out of 5 eggsMy Third Small Case

Pros: This case is a big improvement over the first generation cases.Just to let you know that I have used a Blue Orb cpu cooler in this case.It takes tin snips at the back corner and some careful sliding of the motherboard tray to make it fit.All the venting they have add is a big help to the cooling.I am glade to see the improved PSU,the first generation PSU was for the birds. The add PSU clearance is going to make upgrading it sometime in the future a breeze.

Cons: I found the bumpy finish somewhat of a disappointment.I have used Ultra Qpack styles cases and the finish is much nicer. The cover is a mite flimsy but it just sites on my desk and not in a football game so it will do.

Other Thoughts: My case it kicking it with add lights and LED's Biostar board, 4gigs Hyper X Kingston Ram,AMDX2-6000,EVGA8600 OVC.

3 out of 5 eggsCan't say it is great

Pros: 500W power, LCD display

Cons: Looks cheap in real, flimsy construction, too many sharp edges inside

Other Thoughts: I can't believe some people actually loved this case !

Looks good in picture, but the actual case is not very impressive. Looks really cheap. The material is very flimsy. The aliminium sheets used to make this case are very thin. There are too many sharp edges inside the case, so need to be extra careful not only with your fingers, but also the cables and connectors (they can easily get cut). The power cables are too big for the size of the case, leaving a lot of clutter inside. The case structure is just not suitable for IDE ribon cable. Fortunately my motherboard (Intel DG33TL) has 6 SATA ports, so I put all SATA drives (including SATA DVD-RW). This case will not accomodate any CPU cooler more than 76mm in height, so it is not meant for overclockers.

The only two good things about the case are 1) 500W power supply and 2) Front LCD display. I am not sure is $100 is worth.

5 out of 5 eggsIt IS blurple.

Pros: It's a small case, but surprisingly roomy. I fit two Raptor harddrives, an 8800 Ultra and a watercooling loop for my quad core CPU inside...

Cons: ...It's also very hot inside, but that's to be expected with so much heat being produced in such a small area (and the primary reason I went with water cooling).
The 80mm fan on the front is nearly useless -- it doesn't move hardly any air, so I opted to replace it by cutting a hole in the side window and putting my own fan on it to cool my northbridge and RAM.
Also, the lower 5 1/4 drive bay might be an issue for some. Its' edge hangs right over the PCIe x16 slot, so tall cards like the 8800 Ultras will NOT fit in the case without modifying it (8800 GTXs WILL fit, however -- it's because of the way they bumped out the fan vertically on the Ultra). Also, video cards that have their power input on the top edge of the card will have trouble for this very same reason (unfortunately for me, my 8800 Ultra ALSO has its' power on the top, so I had to cut even more of the drive bay to use it).

My problems aren't typical and I expected them, so yes, I would buy this case again.

Other Thoughts: Despite my problems (which I think are probably exclusive to my setup and not representative of what most folks will encounter), I think it's a great case. The only thing I would prefer would be if you could buy it without the power supply.

Oh yeah. Great service, Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's Blurple!

Pros: I have owned multiple QPACKS, so when the QPACK2 came out, I was excited to try it out. Removable Motherboard Tray is great, fits my 8800GTS w/out any problems (althought, it is directly under the power supply). Great case!

Cons: So, the color really is purple! or blue purple (Blurple). I had the original blue one, so i figured it would be nice and dark like that.. I even read the review below that states that it's purple, but either way, I'm happy with it.

Other Thoughts: C2D E6750, G33 uATX, 8800GTX320, 500gWD, DVD-RW. I replaced the Power Supply w/ an HX520 from the start, so I can't evaluate that part of the case. But if you're looking for a uATX case that can be portable, This is a keeper!

5 out of 5 eggsDisappointed, yet extremely pleased

Pros: Do not own this exact case yet, but the original version. have had nothing but good experiences with it, and hardly anything that i would change about it.

Cons: the only thing i did notice is that, for having a large, but necessary, 120mm fan aimed at the cpu heatsink and hard drive tray, there is little room for the air to go in the early version. i am extatic that they have changed this in the new model.

Other Thoughts: it really is great to see manufacturers making products better and more functional, instead of just making a new look for the exact same case. every change made, the 80mm in front, venting from the hdd's that goes directly out instead of into the faceplate, moving buttons, even the redesigned handle, are all worthwhile changes that do nothing but lower the temperature and make the end user's life easier.

4 out of 5 eggsNice, but not too nice.

Pros: Its small, and the included PSU is very adequate for its purpose.

Cons: I ordered the Blue one *Duh* and it looks purple... Really Purple... Like so purple no matter what light you put it in its purple purple... When Crayola was making colors for its crayon box, they should have named their purple after this case...

Other Thoughts: Its for a girl, so she loved the purple, its her favorite color, and blue was the closest we thought was available, heh, wrong. She started jumping around like a lunatic when she saw how amazingly purple the purple cover is.

Purple also doesnt rhyme with anything, or else i'd make a purple nerple song about its purpality.

Manufacturer Response:

Purpality? Lol. I'd say its somewhere between a indigo and midnight blue. :)
On a serious note, should you be concerned about the true color of any of our cases please email us at support@apevia.com and I will provide a digital photograph for you.

3 out of 5 eggsNice, but...

Pros: Nice case. Great quality. Powerful PSU(so far)
quiet. Handle works well. Really lightweight

Cons: Not the color that is pictured here. Good chance Im going to RMA it to get a different color(I really dislike this color). I also got the feeling that it was going to break when I picked up the removable cover from one side. Felt really cheap.

Other Thoughts: as always, great speed from Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case

Pros: I throughly researched this case before buying it. had a really simple install. Great airflow. Would definately buy another given the choice. Working spae is tight, but not really a problem if you take your time

Cons: Cover is a little thin metal but thats about it. When using handle, do the wise thing and support the rest of the case with your other hand if possible

Other Thoughts: Didnt even try the inclded PSU.
Put in my cooler master 500 watt in.
Read others reviews about PSU being not so good, but dont know that for a fact.

4 out of 5 eggsFlimsy and thin but good

Pros: Light weight. In a world of ATX mid and full sized towers ranging from 20-30 pounds EMPTY, its nice to see a case that weighs 18 pounds fully loaded. The included power supply is beefy enough to run an E6420, MSI 8600GTS-OC, Gigabyte mATX G965 mobo, WD 320GB AAKS, 2GB of DDR2, and a light-on 20x sata dvd burner with lightscribe. (all of which I love) And it just looks great.

Cons: Metal is flimsy thin. As in don't lean on it or it will flex. Theres a dent in the side I can only explain by my thumb pressing too hard when sliding on the cover. Best I could describe it as one step above soda pop can thinness. Another Con is once you have it all built, if you want to add a card, you must remove the power supply which is not an easy task in such a confined space, with all power cords properly routed already. Either that or disassemble the ENTIRE setup and remove the motherboard tray. There are WAY too many power leads coming off the PSU as others have noted. Lastly, the 4 LED fan in back, one of the LED's sits there and flickers on and off.

Other Thoughts: Given all the cons I noted above, you may think I don't like this case. On the contrary, I like it, and think it looks great. Will I buy another one, probably not. Its just too difficult to work with. Aside from having to have tiny hands to get everything all plugged in and working when assembling, the metal is just too thin for as much moving (I go to LAN parties all the time) as I do.

3 out of 5 eggsBlue color not accurate, flimsier than old qpack...

Pros: -Bigger power supply than original x-qpack
-Small footprint (even though it's 1" bigger than the old x-qpack)
-Front vents
-Nicer silver (and slightly sturdier) handle
-Blue color is actually a lot classier looking than in the pic (but not that electric NY Giants or NY Mets Blue)

Cons: I expected an electric blue color like in the pic, when it arrived I thought they sent me the all-black one. The metallic blue is more like a dark night-blue... it's actually very nice, like a purplish midnight blue on the vw passats. Still, not the color I was expecting.
The plastic rivets holding the plexi on were popping out left and right.
It ships in it's own box, mine arrived with a spiked dent from the inside out that looked like someone tried to fire a nail through the roof of the case right behind the PSU which left a tall stalagmite of a dent. That's not a typo, the dent was from the inside out. A few inches away there was also a 4 inch linear dent but this time from the outside in, and also by the PSU but by the very rear of the case. Maybe it's my imagination but the metal seems thinner than the old qpack which I'm a big big fan of.

Other Thoughts: I RMA'd it. I was willing to live with the darker color and even one of the dents, but when I realized that both dents were right over the PSU and then those rivets kept popping out I decided it had to go back.
On another note, the center of the top of the front bezel can be pushed inward (and stuck in that way) as well as the same center spots on the sides. Don't know if my case was just out of whack but I didn't experience this with the original qpack. I'm still planning on ordering another, the design is good and deserves a second chance.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: This cube give plenty of room for a full size graphics card and air flow. Nice new power supply (better than the old cube). Reviews on the old QPack cube paint job was poor, but this seems pretty solid.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: After this, I'll never build a full size pc again.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case - watch out for front vents *explained below*

Pros: Case is awesome. I managed to put a Thermatake HSF in there by using a dremel a little on the crossbar :) I even installed 2 logisys meteor UV led lights in there and with the windows it looks awesome. Had to use my Enermax PS fit as well because the Apevia PS tested fine when I first got it then when i got everything ready to go it stopped working. Not sure what happened but I sent it back to Apevia and they sent me a new one no questions asked. If you want a small HTPC case this will work fine.. the fans in it are not very loud at all and not TOO bright. I highly recommend this case. AMDx2 4400+ with ECS Geforce6100SM mb + 2GB DDR2 also have Pioneer 112d in one slot and a black mobile HDD rack in the other which just clears the power supply.

Cons: I recommend you check the power supply as soon as you get it. Mine failed so I had to send to Apevia direct and install my Enermax one. Please becareful of the black metal vents in the front of the case. During install I accidently pushed on one too much and it popped inside. I just removed the front of the case and hot glued both sides now it is fine. Just a precaution. Other then that.. make sure you have everything ready to go if you mod the case to fit a larger HSF because once you install the HSF you cant remove the motherboard tray anymore.

Other Thoughts: Only thing I would add is everyone I have shown my new case loves it. The handle works great. I did follow another posters advice and make sure the handle was tightened in all the way which it wasnt but now it is. Overall I highly recommend it.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay for a start

Pros: Its small and it looks pretty cool. Its nice if you dont want a mid tower. I got it just so i could make a simple gaming computer without spending over 1,000$. The LCD screen in the front is cool to look at, although it isn't very accurate.

Cons: This case was ok. The one problem i see in it is that the metal is pretty cheap. The finish on it is really bumpy and the top is incredibly hard to slide back on. It takes a good amount of time. The removable mobo tray is nice, but it is also flimsy. I think the case is a good idea, its just that the quality could be improved. Don't get this case if you plan on using an aftermarket CPU cooler. There is about 5mm of room left after installing the stock one that came with my AMD X2 4600+
