5 out of 5 eggsLiving Room Fitting

Pros: Had a computer sitting by my HDTV for internet. Was time to change of case that has style. Something that would fit with living room, and not the same old big long black, or white, case that were all used to, beside or on a computer desk. Something new, has color and futuristic, USB in front for Keyboard, mouse. Finished and smaller, looks nicely around the living room and next to HDTV (50inch). I only use this system for internet, Skype. Not gaming. I like how things come apart to change motherboard, and Hard Drive. I expected difficulty. Had none. Very light, although I used to hands to carry case and not use the handle on case. I am very, very happy with this case. Wanted to load up an image, only video option.

Cons: After putting computer together, I wasn't able to turn on. Realizing after troubleshooting problem, the Reset button is pushed in (stuck). I am unable to open front to fix, so I had to unplug reset wires on motherboard. Not the type to take back case, just because of reset switch I never use and not noticeable.

Other Thoughts: I did some reading of pros and cons before getting the case. And was afraid of struggles of putting motherboard on, cable struggles, and video card. Was aware, and didn't struggle with board, and cables. I do have a Sapphire HD6870 video card sitting around doing nothing. Thought of using it The card did fit, with a little careful struggle, but the power cable connections were on of the card, not on back. Their was no space at all for wire plug in. I had to remove video card, and use my on board video. Plan on getting a smaller card.

3 out of 5 eggsLooks Good

Pros: OK, this case is a nice cube and looks good. Its very portable for LANs and such. The power supply has been reliable to date.

Cons: Cooling space is an issue. Adding any sort of aftermarket cooler is iffy at best. I put a sealed cooler master liquid CPU cooler in it but needed to cut the top of the case to fit the radiator. The sheet metal is thin and flimsy, easily cut with regular scissors.

4 out of 5 eggsNeat Case!

Pros: It's a good looking case with a decent power supply. Roomy enough that I didn't have any problems putting together a basic gaming machine. I was worried about fitting the video card, but everything worked out very nicely. If I needed another machine in a bit smaller, showier case this one would be on my list.

Plus, it's red! (or blue, green, pink, silver, black...)

Cons: Double-check the length of the video card you're planning on putting in here. I wouldn't expect you to put in a real monster in a case like this, but be careful.

I popped out one of the thin grates on the front accidentally while working on it. It's easy to do. They pop back in easily too, so no real harm done.

The nature of these cases is that they're a bit cramped and a bit less sturdy than your typical upright box.

Wish it came with LED fans that matched the highlight color. (This one came with blue.)

Other Thoughts: Being my first showy computer for a long time, I replaced the fans and power supply with ones with red LEDs. It might glow too much that way, though. :)

5 out of 5 eggsBest Design I Have Seen

Pros: Efficient design, easy access, attractive, quality power supply; perfect.

Cons: I have no complaints.

Other Thoughts: Would be perfect for LAN parties. Cool, quiet, room for a real graphics card, lightweight, easy to transport. I am not sure whether the clear panels (allowing easy view of the interior) would prevent TSA from disassembling the system.

3 out of 5 eggsNice looking small case

Pros: This is a nice looking, roomy MicroATX case. Handle seems more solid than other similar cases I've used.

Cons: The power supply is not very good. There are 2 12V rails and only 1 PCI-Express power connector, so it is not suited to power-hungry graphics cards. I replaced with a better power supply which fit just fine.

Other Thoughts: The fit and finish of the case is a little cheaper than I would like, but once it is all together, it is a nice compact case.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good...except

Pros: Compact size, accepts standard ATX PS, Temperature sensors for HD and CPU, case windows to see hardware (especially light up ones), easy to fix if there is odd damage

Cons: Cables for front panel are a little short for some boards, can be a little tight if you have a longer optical drive (some makes)

Other Thoughts: When I received this, it had some damage during shipping (the box was a bit ragged and the backside of the case was a bit dented so the cover could not be completely secured (required a little work with metal snips to adjust it so that a thumbscrew could actually tighten). This now contains a Q8300 CPU, Sapphire 4870 Vapor-X video (didn't now it has lights on it), LG Blu-Ray Burner, WD Caviar Blue 1.0TB SATA, OCZ 700W Modular PS and 8.0GB Mushkin DDR3 RAM. It runs very nicely and looks pretty good (aside from the realistically minor damage on the rear). I will have to change the Intel heatsink and fan, since it makes a noticeable hum. Otherwise it is a pretty decent case and I do like the spring-loaded handle, Apevia did well for the gamers by putting this in on their small cases for those who choose to LAN party (do they still do that?). I do have two of these types of cases (the other is a black one) and have been generally satisfied with them.

3 out of 5 eggsLooks like a dream, Functions like a nightmare.

Pros: The aesthetics on this care are really something else. The front looks very shiny and doesn't even show finger prints.
With 3 clear panels you can show off your inner workings without having to open up your case. The handle is retractable so it has a lower profile when your not using it.

Cons: This thing causes nightmares when you're trying to put your system together. To begin the motherboard tray is situated longitudinally and most motherboards are setup latitudinal. Meaning you have to watch the orientation of your motherboard in order to have it fit.

Space is a definite problem you only have two fans in there and the inside is setup on 2 levels so it can get hot if you don't install another fan. Then you have to figure out where you're going to put the thing.

you can only fit one hard drive in there...

The power cords are annoying and will restrict air flow

If you have a fat graphics card it might have trouble fitting

The actual case itself is pretty flimsy. There really isn't any heavy metal pieces. Even the anchor for the motherboard seems flimsy.

Other Thoughts: I think this is a great computer case for the aesthetics, compactness, and mobility. However, if you're looking to build a serious machine I would look towards a mid or full tower just because you will have more expansion room and better airflow.

Manufacturer Response:

The X-Qpack2 model case can hold up to two hard drives (three if you count the external 3.5" bay). The hard drive cage has room for two drives.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks good

Pros: - Looked good
- Light weight

Cons: - Very thin / flimsy / panels warped
- Lots of sharp edges
- Vents popped out
- Poor air flow

Other Thoughts: Live and learn, bought different case from the 'Egg and just threw this one away. Did not want to pass the burden along, nor pay to ship it back to get the same headache sent back.

5 out of 5 eggsSturdier than noted

Pros: Small case with decent cooling options and most important a full size power supply. I've been using this as a mid range gaming rig and foot rest for over a year. I've never had any issues with it's durability in a structural sense.

Cons: I've had the USB port in the front pop in a few times. It can be put back in place but its a bit annoying.

Other Thoughts: Very satisfied with the product after a year of abuse. I have a 3yo and he bangs on the windows and sits on it. It's still holding up.
