5 out of 5 eggsBEST CASE EVER!!!

Pros: This case is overall amazing! I love I got it for a very low price of I think 45. It's a little darker yellow than in the picture, but it is still very nice. The gauges work great and the blue led lights are very bright and are very "showy".

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There is an air duct to allow better airflow. I had to remove the blue piece to fit my heatsink in. Not a problem at all though. Just something to not.

4 out of 5 eggsNot yellow...

Pros: Great looking case and case design. All the front gages work great and easy to read.

Cons: Not yellow at all... kinda reminds me of a more baby doody color. But in a dark room the blue lights over power what "yellow" you might see so it's not too bad that way

Other Thoughts: Was hoping to get a really yellow case like in the picture. The case was for my wife's computer and her fav color was yellow. We were both a little disapointed about it.

5 out of 5 eggsApevia X-Cruiser Case

Pros: I love this case!!! Plenty of room. Will handle a regular size atx board comfortably or a matx just fine! Held my 750 watt psu just fine as well! Plenty of room for my 9600 graphics card as well! Plenty of hard drive slots and enough slots for cd/dvd drive/card reader/floppy drive! Cannot complain! Not too heavy a case and supports everything very well! I also love the lights and meters! A big plus!!! Also the fact that it has fans that the speeds are controlled; a great option!

Cons: The only cons that i can think of is that a good manual for the led lights and meters would have been a plus for me considering i had never hooked up those kind of fan speed controls and door panel lights or meters before; seeing they are only oriented to this type case! And I wish the fans were not the small ones; especially the one on the back! The top one is okay considering room needed for the power supply; but better rear ventilation would have really done this case justice (although i will latter add a bigger fan on the back) as there is not a lot to not like about it!

Other Thoughts: I really do love these cases as i bought two of them (different colors); one for me and one for my son! Both have worked out great! I was a little apprehensive at first because i had got hold of a cheap aluminum case a few yrs back and everything rattled and screw holes stripped out easily! This case fooled me! It seemed lightweight; but after the built it feels as solid as any that i have ever used and does not have a lot of weight (tank-heavy) to deal with! A very great price and yes; i would not hesitate buying more of these! Definately worthy of five *Eggs*!!! I did have to modify the side panel air shoots because of using aftermarket cpu heatsinks/coolers; to be expected! I've heard it said and now i say it; NewEgg Rocks!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: To the buyer that stated that the UV (top gauge) measures sound inside the case is so much very wrong. That gauge measures the audio output of the front jack when headphones are connected. There is a wheel on the right side to control the volume to the front audio and is displayed on that UV gauge.

Cons: As a system builder for many years, we have purchased hundreds of these cases in all the colors available. The only problem we have is the hard foam doesn't protect the case well while in transit.

Manufacturer Response:

The VU gauge does not actually monitor the sound volume (and the adjustment wheel does not control the volume either). What they actually do is monitor and control the sensitivity of the sound, measuring the "beat" of the audio being played.

2 out of 5 eggsWish I never got it.

Pros: The case is one of the few yellow cases on newegg. Yellow's my favorite color, this one looked the nicest at the time. So I got it. It has adequate space for everything, not too big not too small. All the LED's on the case still work to this date, four years later.

Cons: The case isn't as brightly yellow as I wanted, it's actually got a darker tone, but that's not that bad. My biggest problem with this case is the front gauges. First off, the top gauge which is VU, is completely pointless. It gauges the sound inside your case, IE the beeper and whatnot, so don't think it's like your stereo or anything. So, it never really moves except on start up, which again... to me is pointless. The temp gauge is awesome. Definitely my favorite and the most useful. However, it gave out after 3 months. The Fan Speed is also useful, of course you can only hook it up to one fan, which is fine with me, but unfortunately that one gave out after a year and a half. 14 months to be exact. I looked at the fan, was still spinning happily. The LED's have dimmed, but that's to be expected. The case is actually somewhat flimsy. The front and the door, the rest of the case is pretty solid. The side ports never worked. I connected, and reconnected dozens of times, never worked.

Other Thoughts: Well, when I bought this case 4 years ago, the companies name was Aspire, a short while after they changed their name. Probably to distance themselves from the reputation they got while under the name Aspire. Although judging from the reviews now it looks like they've actually stepped up their quality. When I bought this case, I bought an Aspire (Again, now Apevia) PSU as well, that died after 2 months. Between the gauges dying and the PSU, I'll never buy another product from this company.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: Very light (due to skimpy construction).
The gauges work - was expecting to get frauded but didn't.

Cons: Very difficult to mount dvd and hdd.
Color is NOT YELLOW.
No manual/instructions (weird wiring situation).

Other Thoughts: NOT WORTH IT.
There's no way this case expresses something creative or personal unless you are a 60-year-old stamp collecting eunic.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Case

Pros: Mobo tray is handy. Front side comes off very easily; back side comes off easily as well, convenient. Case door seems very well-built, closes securely and not hard to open. Front face of the case removes easily once you realize you have to take out the four screws holding it in place (pebkac) - easy to install front fans even with cables still connected. While not as cool as the bright yellow the first pic depicts, I still like the goldenrod-ish color of the case. Front gauges work well, as does fan speed dial. All my parts fit just fine in the case. Great deal for the price.

Cons: Front fan slot size is 2x80mm (side by side), not 120mm like it appears to be from a front shot of the box. While not clarified on Newegg, Apevia's site does specify. I just didn't check until after I bought it (pebkac again). I wish the front ports (audio, usb, etc) were at the top of the box, not the bottom, but that's not a big deal. Side air duct attachment is too large to fit with my gigantic heatsink -- wish there was a thinner attachment to fill that hole on the case. The metal between the expansion slots in the back seems a bit flimsy -- bent easily while removing the temp guards (bent it right back np).

Other Thoughts: APEVIA X-CRUISER case, ASUS P5N72-T Premium, E8400 (OC), ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro, 2x (SLI) XFX PVT98FYDDU GeForce 9800 GTX (OC), G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500), LG GH20NS10 DVD Burner combo optical drive (SATA), WD WD6400AAKS 640GB HDD (SATA), HIPER HFF-1B12S 120mm fan in the back, 2x 80mm case fans it came with in the front, generic 80mm case fan up top. Vista Business 64bit SP1. Would recommend this case to a friend.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm in love

Pros: Wow... this case is pretty nice. Once powered on, the front lights up blue from the guages and from clear plastic covers next to the chrome trim. Very cool. Installation was smooth, everything fit where it was supposed to. Plenty of room inside.

Cons: Nitpicking because the case was flawless during installation process...

-This does not come with a fan on the front of the case. There is room for two. Airflow seems adequate without it.
-The hard drive connectors were pretty close to my video cards heat sink. Maybe a tiny bit more horizontal length would be nice

Other Thoughts: Warning... the color is more like the duller yellow that you see in the front photos of this case. It is not a bright neon yellow.

There was a review that mentioned too few MB stays. Well, my case had plenty of places for them... it was my ASUS MB that only had 6.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat case

Pros: I thought this case was awesome. Plenty of room. Everything went off without a hitch. My first build and this case helped to make it a smooth one.

Cons: None that i could see.
