2 out of 5 eggsshipping made me very very upset

Pros: i Got my product in time, and everything is there.

Cons: It was shipped in just the stock box, and unfortunately something penetrated the paper thin cardboard box and put a huge dent in the front pin hole vents. leaving it one big eye sore.

Other Thoughts: besides that is a nice tower for the price, i'm just happy nothing else was wrecked, the box looks like its been through much more than it should have, as well as only a thin piece of tape holding the contents in.

4 out of 5 eggsloving the blue

Pros: Great airflow

Stock fans are quiet

Glows blue

Temperature display and fan controller

front cover (I have kids with grubby little hands)

mostly tool free installation

Cons: kinda lame and cheep looking top mounted USB, Firewire, and Audio ports. they look naked. the panel lools like there was origionally supposed to be some kind of sticker or cover showing what input is what.

Only two case fans( cant dock points for that tho it states there are only 2)

only one case fan is a blue LED fan. (misleading product photos)

Other Thoughts: aside from the minor inconveniences of the case I cannot complain. teh tool free drive bays i LOVE.

All in all I really do like this case. O just with there was

4 out of 5 eggsQuality and Stylish Without Breaking the Bank

Pros: * Steel thick enough, not flimsy.
* Easy, secure tool-less install for drives and cards. (Nicest card install I've personally seen)
* Designed for good airflow.
* Includes 2 120mm fans (side, back).
* Plenty of room for tucking cables in.
* LED lights and LCD readout not super bright.
* Temperature monitor and fan control on front door.
* Top mounted USB/audio panel instead of behind door.
* Nice looking front door that stands out.
* Fairly quiet at low fan speed and not too terribly noisy at high speed.
* No MB shield included. (Why do case mfgs bother? More should imitate this.)
* Most components are well designed and quality, only a few have drawbacks. (see cons)
* Excellent price with rebate. (June '10)

Cons: * Bottom drive bay very low to case floor - data and power cables somewhat difficult to connect if using this bay. (RAID)
* Front door is plastic and paint can scratch easily.
* Latches for door are flimsy pieces of bent metal - difficult to adjust so they are just right for a secure, but easy closing.
* Some of the power connectors for the fans have loose pins that aren't solidly mounted inside their plastic housing. Need to hold by wires to easily attach to PSU cables.

Other Thoughts: * Most cons are minor nitpicks.
* While the drive guides and tool free installs are nice, the snap-on drive guides seemed just a hair small to fit the drive. They still fit, but it was almost as if they were stretching to reach the second pin.
* No front fan included. It isn't necessary, but it would have been nice.
* Would have been nice to have anti-vibration/rubber mounts inside the drive bays, but not necessary.

3 out of 5 eggsInnovative but limited

Pros: This is my second Apevia case that I have purchased from Newegg since 2006. The other was a full tower case tha I am veryy happy with. (discontinued)
The side panel fan is huge (260mm I think). Two diffrent temp sensors and gauges are built in (CPU and HDD temp). The case is relativley light and does NOT require any tools to install drives. A built-in latching mechanism is used for this.
(see below).

Cons: The case utilizes a pressure/latching mechanism to hold drives in place. This is an innovative design but makes it impossible to secure the drives with screws. The floppy drive still moves a bit if pressed! The drive bay assemblies are fixed and cannot be removed so the drives are only secured from one side.
This overall size of the side panel fan is a bit imposing and reduces the amount of internal (side-to-side) clearance by a couple of inches. This in turn limits the size of the CPU fan that can fit inside a loaded case. The CPU fan should be a low-profile type unless you remove the side panel fan.

Other Thoughts: This case could be dramatically improved if the drive bays were removable (like my full tower case) and that drives could be attached with philips-screws in lieu of the pressure/latching slider bars.
There is NO front fan. I doubt it is possible to install one. The hard drives are mounted "sideways" with the rear of the drive facing the side panel door. So you may need longer HDD cables to reach the motherboard.

3 out of 5 eggssharp case

Pros: this is one sharp looking case price not bad- nice side window.

Cons: 2 problems i see 1 craapy airflow 2 have to open door to turn on unless you allways leave it on . reminds me of my sonata 2 case. that has poor air flow also.

Other Thoughts: it is a very nice sharp looking case w temp & sp control for a non overclocked system its fine

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Nice

Pros: Decent build quality at a reasonable price. The built in fan speed control is actually pretty handy.

Cons: There are a couple of minor cons in this case made me give it a 4 instead of a 5.

A couple of edges are a little on the sharp side. Not a big deal but they are there. I just put a piece of electrical tape over them.

The top of the case overhangs the top 5.25 inch drive bay so it can get in the way when putting a disk into an optical drive. I just put the drive into the second slot from the top and it is not a problem. A small minus none the less.

On the back of the case in between each of the expansion slots there is a small punch out of metal. I believe these are supposed to act as guides to help keep cards in place. The problem with this is that it keeps double slot video cards from seating fully into place. You will either have to force things a little bit which will bend the back of the case and/or the card plate a little, or as I did take a dremel tool to it and grind it off.

Other Thoughts: The only other thing I would like is to move the side mounted fan up a little so it is over the CPU area instead of the card slots. This is not really a con because I can see where some users may prefer the extra air flow by their video card(s).

5 out of 5 eggslarger than mid

Pros: this case is larger than expected for a mid tower. tooless design for drive bays and hard drives are very slick. will fit all your needs unless you are doing quad fire x with water cooling and multiple drives.

Cons: should provide extra fans with pree drilled vent holes on top for heat dispersion, i have a drill though!!!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: carefull with plastic parts. a bit on the cheap side. but that could be how they keep low price range?
