Remember when every computer case looked the same and was a color charitably called “putty”? Well, they're still available if you want them, but you can also get a gleaming mid-sized ATX-compatible tower with LED highlights and a plastic viewport into the guts.

Ten drive bays and seven I/O slots give room for expansion, and a front panel LCD display tracks the internal temperature. Side 120mm fan with UV blue LED as well as 120mm rear fan keeps everything cool while illuminating the interior, and if they're not quite enough, you can add one more. You can also access your audio and your USB 2.0 from the front panel.

If you want a computer that is as much showpiece as it is working tool, then perhaps this is just what you're looking for.

  • newegg Transparent Side Panel Window The Apevia X-JPJGT-BK’s fantastic transparent side panel window provides a direct view of the inner system. A 120mm UV blue LED side fan improves interior airflow and looks simply amazing too.
  • newegg Excellent Expandability with 10 Drive Bays Featuring five 5.25" external drive bays, and five 3.5” drive bays (two external and three internal), the Apevia X-JPJGT-BK provides excellent expandability.
  • newegg Front LCD Temperature Indicator The front LCD temperature indicator provides instant readouts, safeguarding your system and components from overheating.
  • newegg Convenient Top I/O Panel The convenient top I/O panel enables easy access to two USB 2.0 ports, one IEEE 1394 port and two audio ports.

3 out of 5 eggsApevia Jupiter

Pros: Pretty good case for the price (I got it for $40). It comes with two fans, only one of which lights up. The one that does comes mounted in the side door window, and it's nice and bright. The case has a pretty decent amount of space inside, with more than enough bays for me. It has a temp gauge up front for the CPU and Hard Drive bay (I put the hdd temp probe on my gpu though) and a fan controller, which also adjusts the brightness on the led fan. Pretty decent airflow.

Cons: This thing certainly isn't perfect, though. First off, the side door's acrylic window scratches so easily! I had taken the side door off and leaned it up against the side of the case, it then slid down and left a nice, deep scratch that will now be there forever :\ . Also there is NOTHING in the way of cable management. I guess if you wanted to, you could drill holes in it because there's an o-k amount of space behind the motherboard tray. Also, I don't know if this is just my case (probably is) but the power button doesn't work. It will turn the thing on just fine, but pressing it or holding it won't turn it off. The smaller button below the power button, which I assume is a reset button, does nothing. Also, the front panel of the case behind the front door is made of cheap plastic, as are the buttons. No biggie to me as I only open it to turn it on or use my dvd drive.

Other Thoughts: It's decent for the price and I'll keep it for a while, but if I could go back, I'd definitely get something else in this priceline, like a Cooler Master 430/431, as I recommend you do.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: The case had plenty of room, looks nice, and is sturdy.

Cons: The 4 pin connectors were bent and a pain to use, cable management is slim to none, and wires are everywhere.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am satisfied with this product, and Newegg. I paid for 4-7 day shipping and I received the box in 3 days. So bravo Newegg, I can't wait to buy more.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the price!

Pros: This case is very heavy duty its a very sturdy case as well. I was in love with the case as soon as I pulled it out of the box!

Cons: You kinda have to slam the front door a little but scared me the first time but after a while it gets better. But its not enough to knock an Egg.

Other Thoughts: Buy this case!! You will love it for a kid or a your first gaming rig.

4 out of 5 eggsUsed for my first build

Pros: Really nice case for the price (I paid $40, it was on sale). Overall nice build quality, feels pretty sturdy. Comes with two 120mm blue fans, only one of which lights up- the one mounted in the side door. The side door itself has quite a large window and comes on and off easily after the two thumb screws are removed. It has an LCD temperature gauge on the front along with a fan speed controller, really nice additions. The LED Apevia Logo on the front looks really nice when lit up. Installation was easy and the case has a lot of space in it even with the side door fan mounted (as stated, it can hold Nvidia 8800- sized cards). More than enough drive bays, for me at least.

Cons: Although most of the outside looks pretty good, the entire drive bay area including power button revealed by opening the front panel is made of cheap plastic, and frankly looks terrible. I don't mind, though, because the only time I open the front panel is to turn the machine on or insert a disc. The case has almost nothing in the way of cable management and obviously has lots of wires due to the LED's, fan controller, and temp gauge.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great looking case with lots of interior space and great features. I would definitely recommend this to first time builders and really anyone who isn't looking to put a whole bunch of money into a case.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy, good quality

Pros: Used it for my first build and it was a peice o cake. Good instructions.
The case fans at full rpms make less noise than my CPU fan. And it looks cool too.

Cons: The instructions don't specify which of the zillion screws it comes with are for what, but it takes 2 seconds to figure out.

Other Thoughts: Buy some zip ties for cable management because there are alot of them

3 out of 5 eggsDecent looking, pain to work in

Pros: Tasteful exterior design.
Lots of drive bays (though you may have to get creative to use them).
Tool-less HDD rails are nice for 3.5" drives.
Durable metal construction.

Cons: Lots of sharp edges.
Drive cages kind of crowd the case.
No room for larger GPUs without getting creative.
I/O panel is fragile and awkwardly located in the middle of the case top (coincidentally as far as possible from the USB and audio headers on my mobo).
Heavy and awkward to handle.
Tool-less rails do not securely hold many 2.5"-to-3.5" adapters (now common for SSD installs).

Other Thoughts: I got this case with a prebuilt system from CyberPowerPC about four years ago, chosen because it wasn't all plastic and bling. I've been satisfied with the looks and it hasn't baked any of my components in that time w/ just the two stock fans. The past couple months, though, I've had occasion to work in this box quite a bit as well as another budget box and several off-the-rack systems (all of which were smaller), and this case was easily the biggest pain to work in. Just heaving it onto its side is a chore, and the clunky drive cages make it feel more crowded than it should be, as well as providing lots of sharp edges.

Installing a 2.5" SSD, I found that the tool-less system would only secure one end of the adapter tray, so that it swiveled on an axis in the drive cage. That point became moot when I replaced my GPU with a larger model and had to tear the drive cage out entirely to accommodate it. The SSD adapter tray is now screw*d directly to the bottom of the case and the HDD is jammed into the floppy cage. I may never get it out again. I'll very likely be remounting the 3.5" cage inside the (huge, mostly useless) 5.25" cage when I get another, larger data drive.

Also, only the lower 3.5" cage can be removed--the others are riveted in place.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case!

Pros: This case looks great and is well built for the price. The fans that come with it are fine, but I swapped them out for some 3 and 4 pin fans. Plenty of room to work with. Im running a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB with Intel core i5 2400 and 8gig of Gskill Ripjaws X. Ambient air temp in the case stays about 23C and processor temp ranges from 25C(idle) to about 30C(heavy load) with the stock Intel cooler. There is nothing wrong with airflow in this case.

Cons: I docked 1 egg because the blue plastic is super brittle, and the machining could have been a bit better(sharp stamped edges).

Other Thoughts: I'm please with this purchase!
