4 out of 5 eggsPretty good case, average durability

Pros: It works quite well after some work.

-Everything works as advertised
-The case actually looked better than in the photos
-For the price, it's really impressive

Cons: Docked 1 egg for the few issues i ran into, but could just be my own ignorance.

-Daisy chained fans, no connection to the motherboard so it's all regulated from the front panel. Also, daisy chaining the fans wasn't as obvious as i expected, you certainly need to look at the manual.

-The front panels where the dvd/cd drives go were difficult to work with, i eventually ended up breaking off one of the metal panels because it had no obvious way to remove it to make room for the drive.

-Two of the plastic studs on the outside of the case were snapped off... this happened during shipping i assume. Regularly i wouldn't mind something insignificant like that but they appear to be what holds the plastic side panel on. I eventually found them in the box and super glued them back in their places.

-The temperature gauge is unreadable unless you're eye level with it, which would mean getting on the floor for most people.

Other Thoughts: At $50 the few headaches involved in getting this case functional were worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's pretty.

Pros: The color and overall look of the case.

I haven't managed to break it yet, but then again I haven't had it long and I'm gentle with it.

It's not at all cramped with what I've got in it, and there's plenty of room for wire management, once I get around to it.

Oh, and it's pretty!

Cons: People have said the fans are loud.

The USB ports are upside down, it's just a little annoying.

The external 5.25 bay slot covers were hard to pop out on mine at first.

The gauge isn't blue. An odd con I'm sure, but when you buy a case based on looks, if one part is just plain ugly, then it's rather upsetting. My gauge is an ugly purple that just mares the green-blue-black color theme of the case.

The gauge also has to be read from basically dead on, any angle and it becomes hard to read.

Other Thoughts: As noted in other reviews, the color is a bit different from the pictures, it's actually more of a kelly green instead of a lime green. Still a pretty color.

About the loud fans, I keep a fish tank in my room and I can hardly hear the fans over the filter of my fish tank, so I've never really minded.

This was originally supposed to go on my desk, but has since been moved to the floor, to my left. The front USB ports, headphone/mic jacks, and fan controller are just out of reach and the gauge can't be read from up here. But I'm also glad the gauge isn't in my field of vision.

Knowing what I do know, I'd have gone with the silver version of this case (to offset the color clashing) or RAIDMAX SMILODON Extreme Black ATX-612WEB (the other case I was looking at before getting this one).

4 out of 5 eggsGood strong case

Pros: It's a really tough case, Front HUD is nice, its a sexy case. Easy tool less hard drive installation.

Cons: After having it for a year one of the pci brackets are broken poor design and cheap plastic. the power button and other motherboard case plugs are to short making it impossible to get a front fan in the case. you half to get level with the HUD to read it. Only comes with 1 temperature readers when it says it comes with multiple and theres no way to set it to F when you can see there's a part of the HUD that says F. Front door doesn't stay open all the way front USB plugs are upside down. Nowhere to put wires so my my computer looks messy if you look in the window. you half to take the hard drive rack out to put a fan on the front vent and the hard drive rack is welded!

Other Thoughts: Why do they put so many cd drive slots in cases? I've never used more then 2 and this one has 5! This will probably be the last apevia case I get my next one will probably be a coolermaster.

5 out of 5 eggsNice color, stuff fits.

Pros: It's a nice metallic green color. You can fit a 260 GTX in it (though it's a tight fit). You can fit one of the tall zalman coolers in it as well.

Cons: Case could be taller: I had to take out my PSU before I could install the zalman cooler.

There are little "separation bumps" in-between the PCI slots, to better hold the cards. If you have a double wide card you might have to bend that portion of the case a tiny bit to get the bump out of the way.

1 out of 5 eggsApiva telstar JR green

Pros: Nice color pictures on New Egg sight do not show the right color this is the only thing my daughter like about the case.

Cons: Poor assy wiring to front case cover pinch between case and cover.causing power supply circuit breaker to pop.
Had to order another case due to Apevia refusing to send out led/ fan controlller and wiring harness to repair the case.Tech support not very helpful in giving replacement Numbers so they could be order through newegg. would not count on this case lasting either.tight fit for 9600 gt video card and also p6t motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend this case until Apiva gets there
act together with there tech dept an costomer support.

Manufacturer Response:

We are willing to help replace parts to our cases. If it is still under our warranty period, we will do an RMA. You can contact Apevia's customer service at or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

4 out of 5 eggsNifty Case

Pros: Very cool looking. Its got lots of nifty bells and whistles like a fan speed controller, thermometer and DB meter. (That's what's in the shiny circle on the bottom).

I am very impressed with the tool-less drive bays and and expansion slots. They are the best I've ever seen.

Lots of cool factor. My wife and my customer both loved it.

Cons: Cable management is very difficult for a case with such a giant window. Be sure to get a modular PSU if you get this case.

Other Thoughts: Back fan does not have LEDs. The fans are very loud at full speed, but definitely tolerable with the fan speed controller.

With additional front fan case temp was about 6 C warmer than room temp.

The S type may be a better bet so you don't have to look at the messy cables.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, very roomy

Pros: Very easy to setup...It is very roomy...I believe it is just one inch less in the dimensions than the full sized case...Great airflow and the neon lights are great. I have a coolmaster all in one cpu liquid cooling device in it on the rear exhaust port as well as a fan attached to it... The temperature read outs are very cool and the pictures do not do it justice. There is alot of space for fans as well as other things you might want to store in there. I would buy this case again. To be quite honest I am surprised that this case is not going for twice as much as its going for now on new egg..

Cons: Understanding the fan control was kinda hard to understand at first but it is easy once you sit down and try to understand it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: Looks great, installation of other parts were easy and "roomy".

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for my girlfriend and set it up for her. All of the other hardware fit perfectly and with ease. No weird arm bending to try to get motherboards to fit and all that. And it looks really cool lit up. Great case for the cost.
