Pretty good
- Pros: Very nice looking for its size, cheap, appears durable, and gives great opportunity for improvement. Can be an effective case for just about any part if you use your brain.
- Cons: First and foremost, ditch the PSU. Test it on an old mobo before you fry anything [new] or just take it out and purchase a new one. It's what I did. And thank goodness, because it blew first try. DVD/CD drive button feels cheap, but works (it's wobbly). Blue LED is bright enough to render your area a dance floor.
- Other Thoughts: Take everything out when building. Both sides, pull the front panel off and the rear dual 80mm fans. Take apart the fan contraption and reverse it so that those fans are your intakes. You'll want to (if you can fit it) add two 120mm fans for exhaust, they'll move much more air and it's working pretty well for me. If you're only using 1 hard drive bay, use the one underneath the 5.25" bays and not the way to side. Place the HD in "backwards" and route the cables to it from underneath the PSU. this is just one small step in wire management. It also helps to only have 1 5.25" drive that way excess cabling can be stored or bundled in the second bay making life easier and airflow better. Be patient.

great use of space
- Pros: This is the very best HTPC case for use with a full ATX mother board. If your an enthusiast i would probably buy a different power supply, maybe a 300-400 watt silver or gold certified for 24 operations. My current HTPC takes about 100 watts.
- Cons: you probably cant get a over-sized(length or height) video card in this puppy.
- Other Thoughts: room for 2 hard drives, with possibility of putting and estra in the cd-rom slot
-
Manufacturer Response:The maximum length PCI card that will fit the X-Master is 230mm (9"). There is room for three internal and one external 3.5" drive. Aside from the included internal bay next to the external drive bays, you can also install a hard drive on the side vents if you do not use case fans there.

Wonderful HTPC
- Pros: This case fits perfectly in my Living room Home theater cabinet. It has two 90mm exhaust fans and space for two extra fans, they do not come in contact with the motherboard so you can use 120mm quiet. I used two 90mm as Positive intake to balance out the air flow. It's very quiet, light and all black simple design makes it look great.
- Cons: The power supply just a bit to get in the way of a 10" video card to plug in the power. Solutions are either a wire for tight sections or rock a 5750 - 70.
- Other Thoughts: Completely satisfied, made this for my parents so we can have an easier way of watching our movies and listening to music. Buying a Remote receiver and Blue-ray player for this.
Average Media PC Case
- Pros: Good internal layout
Plenty of ventilation options Comes with Power Supply that can fully utilize PS vent on top of case. Gloss finish
- Cons: HDD mounting position is purely conductive cooling, no option for direct air.
Motherboard mounting screws are not correct. Blue LED is too bright Motherboard I/O Panel fit is tight
- Other Thoughts: Video card will create a thermal barrier; opt to purchase an aditional fan for side of case to cool this area.
Do two things to simplifiy your installation: (1) Ditch the included motherboard mounting screws. They won't mount correctly and strip easily. (2) Replace the Power Supply.
On the power supply: I transferred a working setup from a mid-tower ATX case to this one to use as a media PC. Everything powered up fine but I noticed immediately that my on-board sound was completely dead. I went through the trouble of transferring it back to the other case and power supply and confirmed the dead on-board sound. I performed this entire process with a grounded ESD mat and lab coat. Since everything else works, I can't say with 100% certainty that the Power Supply is bad, but I am very suspicious.
Update- Perfect Gaming Case
- Pros: I installed an exhaust fan on the right side of the case to exhaust hot air off of the CPU. I robbed it out of another case so I don't know the specs. it is a 120mm quiet fan over 20cfm but less that 40cfm, if I had to guess. I turned the stock fans around to blow cooler air across CPU fan.
Under full gaming it lowered the cpu only 1c but 8c for GPU 1 and 12c for GPU 2. they are dual HD4830 in CFx. I set a 40mm 5cfm fan between the video cards to feed air to the 1st card. I opened the two pci slots between the cards as well. and the best part is that the GPUs are overclocked by 28%. COD WaW 150-180fps average.
- Cons: The stock fans are fairly week and will need replacing or add an additional fan if you plan to use heavy graphics/gaming.
- Other Thoughts: use quiet fans for this case. under 15db. really high cfm fans are not needed.
