5 out of 5 eggsAPEVIA X-Dreamer3

Pros: Beautiful mid-size case. Fits 12" video cards and up to 11" (width) motherboards. The thermometer with digital temperature display in front is very nice.

Cons: Fans are not computer controlled, but to me not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I got this case to replace a bigger case that could not fit a video card larger than 10.5". Current system for media and gaming: [Ci7-3770K, Intel DZ77BH-55K, 8GB DDR3-1600, GTX680 FTW+ 4GB, Lite-On BD-R 12x, 700W OCZ MODX PSU]

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case

Pros: LCD temp with long enough sensor wire to go to CPU or GPU.
Very sharp and professional design.
Solid feel without being too heavy.
Nice looking optical drive covers.
Great airflow design.

Cons: Not really a con since it is an ATX Mid but it does have quite a bit of extra space even when using an ATX board.

Other Thoughts: I have used several Apevia cases for builds and have never been let down yet, even on the budget cases.

2 out of 5 eggsWasn't quite what I expected

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: You can't run the side 120mm fan if you have a tall CPU cooler.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this thinking they side fan placement was more towards the center, accommodating all types of cpu coolers. I was wrong. My Cool master Hyper 212 can't be used in conjunction with the side mounted 120mm fan. For some inexplicable reason, they plunked the fan down directly over the CPU. I get's to make the cpu cooler. Only problem is, if you have a modern CPU (icore series) and you want to run water cooling or a tall CPU cooler, you'll have to remove the side 120mm fan and use the grill for passive air flow. Not good. I've written to APEVIA asking if they have alternative placement side panels but haven't had any response which is disappointing. I guess it's up to me to go and buy another piece of plexi and custom make my own clear side panel with custom placement of the fan.
Again, disappointing. You get what you pay for I guess.

Manufacturer Response:

The only side panel that we have for the X-Dreamer3 are the one with the window and a non-windowed version. There are no other versions for that model case.

5 out of 5 eggsDefinately worth the buy.

Pros: Not screwless installation (I hate that), Side panel window, front LCD temp panel, spacious case. Amazing airflow. Lighting is soft and easy on the eyes and the case is rigid as can be. I would definitely buy this case again for a second build.

Cons: Had to remount the side panel case fan. Called Apevia and they said it would not void the warranty if I did it myself. Fan was rubbing against the side window. Front LCD display shows Celsius only and is not changeable to Fahrenheit. Activity lights for hard drive could be brighter. Stealth panels for CD drives stick and I had to remove them.

Other Thoughts: If you're a UK owner or someone needing to build a budget gamer rig, then this is the case you want to buy. It's cheap and fit my 700 Watt PSU with no issues whatsoever. Everyone else gripes about the small gap in the back with the PSU mount, but how often are you going to be looking at that? Also, this case has NO firewire jumpers on the front so make sure you purchase a board with firewire, or an addon card.

Manufacturer Response:

The temperature display can be changed to show Fahrenheit. On the back of the unit, there should be a small black switch. Just flip it and it will display in Fahrenheit.

4 out of 5 eggsCase Review

Pros: Ok - here goes. Great case! Looks good, has tons of room and everything fit, the first time, and working great, still is.

Everything fit great no worries.

I've got:
M.S.I - 970A-G45 Mainboard
Nvidia GTX 550 Ti 1gig vid card
1 TB Seagate HDD (sitting directly in front of the Vid card too)
700 watt Apevia PSU
Asus 24x cd/dvd burner
16gigs of Gskill, Rip Ram.

Cons: Ok, when i first opened the case box, i put the mobo in and put the side panels back on, and inserted the PSU and i noticed the top (back of the top) was dented in a bit, not a creased dent, just bent...then i noticed the back was off too when i tried screwing the screws for the PSU in...the (facing the back of the tower) the left, top corner had something put it out of whack a bit. Nothing big, but it is noticeable. PSU - went in w/o a hitch, just had to finagle then a bit at an angle. (I'm assuming in shipping, but could have been the picker from warehouse - but doubtful)

Other Thoughts: Wasn't Neweggs fault i don't think, Im sure someone would ask if i wanted to return in for another, but im not waiting another week for it to be shipped and returned, probably would take 2 weeks total, not for me. I'll deal with it. Still a great case, wish the blue circle was LED lighted and the side fan didn't have that "Holey" metal plate under the fan (Inbetween the fan and the side plastic window) but who cares! Great case!

5 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable Case

Pros: Awesome case. For the price, this case is a steal. I love the color of this case, and the thermometer is a great touch. If I were to build another computer, this case would be on the top of my list. Can also change the thermometer from Celsius to Farenheit by just popping the front panel off and flipping the switch.

Cons: Not that much of CON, but the side fan is the only one with LED. The front does also light up if you were worried about the lighting on the computer.

4 out of 5 eggsshiny

Pros: -visually appealing to most people
-it is perfectly mediocre in most aspects
-3 fans, two of which are lighted

Cons: -small gap between the bottom of the PSU and the case. It's only annoying if you are forced to stare at it for some reason. (not really that much of a con but worth mentioning)
-the fans are a bit loud for me(but i'm coming from using a laptop for most of prior computer experience)
-regarding the fan on the side, its lights are static and don't move. That was just unexpected for me. I think it would be much cooler looking with it. But instead it looks a tiny bit cheap.
-the button layout on the front plate is strange, but the only one that matters is the on button so

Other Thoughts: -the button layout on the front plate is strange, but the only one that matters is the on button so it's not really that big of a deal

2 out of 5 eggsNice on the outside

Pros: Nice glossy front.
CPU thermometer is nice.
Enough fans to keep most systems cool.
Free shipping never hurts.

Cons: Power Supply bracket isn't the proper dimensions, so you end up with an obvious gap in the casing.
Standoff screws for mobo aren't in the right places, so you have to use some creativity.
Mounting bracket screw holes aren't in the proper places for HDDs, so, have to be creative again.
The side panel fan interferes with some CPU coolers, so be careful about dimensions.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'd pass on this case. It's got a few nice features, but the hassles don't make it worth it.
